Chaotic Sword God

“The Modest Silence Heaven? I just happen to have an Immortal Emperor from the Modest Silence Heaven in the Primeval Divine Hall,” Jian Chen thought. After stowing away the formation banners, they made their way into the depths of the cave slowly.

Jian Chen split his focus, diverting a strand of the senses of his soul into the Primeval Divine Hall.

At this moment, eight balls of light glowed brightly in a spacious area of the Primeval Divine Hall. The spiritual Qi in the surroundings was drawn to them constantly.

There were a total of nine Immortal Emperors in the Primeval Divine Hall. The leader of the Hall of Alchemy, Dan Chenzi, spent all day and night refining various kinds of God Tier pills. Meanwhile, the eight other Immortal Emperors had all been arranged to stay together by Jian Chen. With that, they were ready to establish the Divine Formation of the Heavens at any time.

Seven of the Immortal Emperors had been rescued from the Immortal Sect of Colossal Elephants. They had all become members of the Sword Sect of Violet Heavens now.

The last person was Lin Sen who tried to control the Immortal Devouring Orchid using Spirit Transformation pills. Instead, he was reduced to an alchemy slave for the Immortal Devouring Orchid. He was also responsible for offering his strength to the Divine Formation of the Heavens.

Lin Sen happened to be from the Modest Silence Heaven. He was one of the three ancestors of the Divine Wood clan, a large clan on the Modest Silence Heaven.

“Lin Sen!” With a flash, Jian Chen’s figure condensed from a wisp of his soul appeared silently in front of Lin Sen.

With Jian Chen’s calling, the cultivating Lin Sen immediately opened his eyes. When he realised who had come to visit, he grew solemn and said politely, “Greetings, sect master!”

“Lin Sen, I want to ask you about someone. This person is an Immortal Exalt from the Modest Silence Heaven. His name is the Scholar Capital Master. Have you heard about him?” Jian Chen asked.

“The Scholar Capital Master?” Lin Sen was surprised. Deep fear appeared in his eyes. “Sect master, the Scholar Capital Master is quite renowned on the Modest Silence Heaven. He’s a supreme expert who stands at the very peak of the Modest Silence Heaven. It’s said that his cultivation has already reached the Sixth Heavenly Layer of Immortal Exalt. He’s honoured as one of the three sages of the Modest Silence Heaven.”

“A Sixth Heavenly Layer Immortal Exalt? One of the three sages? Don’t tell me the Modest Silence Heaven has two other Sixth Heavenly Layer Immortal Exalts?” Jian Chen asked curiously.

“That’s right, sect master. The three of them are the strongest experts on the Modest Silence Heaven,” Lin Sen said honestly.

......

…

After obtaining the information he was after from Lin Sen, Jian Chen exited the Primeval Divine Hall with the wisp of his soul. He began to contemplate how he would deal with the lurking threat from the Scholar Capital Master.

“There are more and more Nine-heavenly Xuan Immortal disciples for arranging the Divine Formation of the Heavens. The formation is constantly being perfected as well. Its power grows with each passing day. It’s no longer a question that it threatens Sixth Heavenly Layer Immortal Exalts. The only thing that needs to be resolved now is to stop the enemy from escaping. After all, killing a Sixth Heavenly Layer Immortal Exalt won’t be as easy as dealing with a Fourth Heavenly Layer Immortal Exalt…” Jian Chen thought. The Divine Formation of the Heavens could not be assembled in complete form. There were many of its functions that he still could not use. Otherwise, this would not be a problem for him.

However, unbeknownst to Jian Chen, soon after he had destroyed the Scholar Capital Master’s wisp of soul, a deafening rumble erupted from a mountain covered in numerous formations on the distant Modest Silence Heaven. As a powerful shockwave of energy rocked the surroundings, boulders collapsed from the top of the mountain.

The divine hall that stood atop the mountain had already shattered. A small part of the peak had been reduced to dust.

“What’s going on? Don’t tell me the experts of the Modest Silence Alliance are attacking?”

“That’s impossible. This is the headquarters of our Alliance of the Immortals. Not only are there numerous experts stationed here, but we even have the Scholar Capital Master, known as one of the three sages of the Modest Silence Heaven. Where could the Modest Silence Alliance find the courage to attack us?”

“That’s not right. The explosion s-seemed to be from the Scholar Capital Master’s divine hall…”

......

…

Powerful presences erupted from the surroundings. Not only were there many Immortal Monarchs and Immortal Emperors, but there were even Immortal Exalt ancestors.

As they discussed, they all looked at the peak of the mountain in the central region. Their eyes were filled with shock.

The Immortal Monarchs and Immortal Emperors all hesitated, afraid to rashly approach the mountain. It seemed like a forbidden ground, one that they could not approach so easily without permission.

That was because the mountain was where the Scholar Capital Master cultivated in seclusion.

As a Sixth Heavenly Layer Immortal Exalt, as well as one of the three Saints of the Modest Silence Heaven, the Scholar Capital Master possessed extraordinary status here.

In the end, only the Immortal Exalt Ancestors made their way towards the peak of the mountain after hesitating for a moment.

An old man in grey robes stood among the dilapidated ruins at the top of the divine hall. His clothes ruffled as his hair danced. His sombre eyes hid raging fury.

He was the Scholar Capital Master, one of the three sages of the Modest Silence Heaven!

“Master, may I ask what has happened that has actually infuriated you so much?” a Fourth Heavenly Layer Immortal Exalt ancestor asked carefully as they approached him.

The other early Immortal Exalt ancestors paused nearby, as the Scholar Capital Master’s presence was so powerful that it prevented these early Immortal Exalts from getting any closer.

All of them could tell that the Scholar Capital Master was absolutely furious.

That piqued their curiosity. They did not know what had happened that had actually set off one of the three sages of their Modest Silence Heaven like this.

“None of your business. You’re dismissed!” The Scholar Capital Master waved his hand in annoyance. His face was sunken.

When they heard that, the Immortal Exalts present exchanged glances. No one had the courage to utter an additional word. They all clasped their hands at the Scholar Capital Master before silently leaving.

After they left, the Scholar Capital Master stared into the empty space, gazing in the direction of the Conquering Judgement Heaven. The fury in his eyes burned brighter and brighter, together with terrifying killing intent that could be described as devastating.

“I entered the Skyscraping World a total of two times before finally finding the Spiritual Fruit of Sword Nurturing that the Skyscraping Sword Venerable had planted after so much difficulty. I left behind several tens of thousand God Tier heavenly resources for the Spiritual Fruit of Sword Nurturing to absorb, accelerating its growth. I planned on harvesting it in a million years’ time after the fruit had ripened…”

“I never thought that the Spiritual Fruit of Sword Nurturing that I spent so much effort nourishing would actually end up in the hands of someone else. Dammit. God dammit…”

The Scholar Capital Master clenched his fists firmly. His sharp nails dug deeply into his flesh. Whenever the Skyscraping World opened while the Spiritual Fruit of Sword Nurturing grew, he did not enter, but he would stand guard outside to prevent anything from happening to the Spiritual Fruit of Sword Nurturing.

With the opening of the Skyscraping World this time, he was required to watch over the Modest Silence Heaven at all times due to the war on the heaven. As a result, he did not venture to the Skyscraping World as usual, yet this just happened to be when things went wrong.

With a flip of his hand, a dazzling God Tier sword immediately appeared in the Scholar Capital Master’s hand.

God artifacts were divided into four categories. Despite all being high quality god artifacts, a difference still existed among them.

The high quality god artifact sword in the Scholar Capital Master’s hand had already reached the peak of high quality god artifacts.

“The Divine Sword of the Immortal Soul requires the Spiritual Fruit of Sword Nurturing to return to peak condition. Once the sword returns to its peak condition and the sword spirit is in perfect shape, I can grasp the Immortal Soul Annihilation technique through the sword spirit. As long as I know the Immortal Soul Annihilation technique, I’ll be able to contend with those at the Seventh Heavenly Layer as a Sixth Heavenly Layer Immortal Exalt.”

“Without the Spiritual Fruit of Sword Nurturing, I might as well forget about all this.”

Thinking up to there, the Scholar Capital Master’s killing intent surged.

The Spiritual Fruit of Sword Nurturing was an extremely rare heavenly resource, one that rarely appeared even over a million years. Whenever it appeared, it would always end up in the hands of the Immortal Sect of Myriad Swords. Despite being one of the three sages of the Modest Silence Heaven, he did not have the courage to contend against the Immortal Sect of Myriad Swords.

As a result, the Spiritual Fruit of Sword Nurturing in the Skyscraping Heaven could be described as his only hope.

The Scholar Capital Master swept his gaze across the Modest Silence Heaven. Whenever his gaze reached, he saw various battles of big and small everywhere. He also saw cultivators of various strengths perishing at basically every moment.

Suddenly, he seemed to make a decision. He gritted his teeth. “I can’t afford to lose the Spiritual Fruit of Sword Nurturing. I need to watch over the entrance of the Skyscraping World. I can’t afford to care so much about the war on the Modest Silence Heaven anymore.”

As soon as he said that, the Scholar Capital Master vanished. With a few flashes, he disappeared into the sea of stars, rushing off towards the Conquering Judgement Heaven.
