Chaotic Sword God

“How audacious. Looks like you’re tired of living since you’re opposing our Immortal Feather sect.”

The two great elders of the Immortal Feather sect responded rapidly. After a violent bellow, they took action decisively. Energy surged out from their bodies as immortal feather armour appeared, radiating with the pressure of medium quality god artifacts. Afterwards, they formed seals with their hands. As a profound power emerged, a meteor rapidly took shape in front of one of them, hurtling towards Jian Chen with heavy pressure.

The meteor only seemed to be the size of a head, but the tremendous presence it gave off was comparable to a huge planet at least.

The other great elder used a secret technique to condense a pure-white feather. As it dazzled with light, it was possible to vaguely make out the patterns of ways on it. It seemed to outline the order of the world, which was highly profound.

With a swish, the feather flew out. It seemed to bypass all notions of distance, arriving instantly with terrifying killing intent.

It had to be mentioned that not only were the attacks of the two great elders swift, they were extremely powerful as well, enough to heavily injure opponents of the same level.

“Sure enough, the secret techniques of the Immortal Feather sect are extraordinary. The battle prowess demonstrated by these two great elders who have only reached the Seventh Heavenly Layer of Immortal Emperor recently is no weaker than an Eighth Heavenly Layer Immortal Emperor’s.” Chi Yutian who watched from the side was amazed by the power of the two secret techniques from the Immortal Feather sect. With the battle prowess they demonstrated right now, even when he already possessed the strength of a Ninth Heavenly Layer Immortal Emperor, he would probably be momentarily overwhelmed.

“Both their cultivation methods and secret techniques are extraordinary. They truly are experts who have emerged from a court of heaven. Everything they know is what experts of the Immortals’ World envy.” Chi Yutian sighed inside.

Boom! Boom!

At this moment, deafening explosions suddenly erupted. With the Heaven-lifting sword in hand, Jian Chen first made contact with the incoming feather. Shortly afterwards, tremendous energy erupted from the pure-white feather, which had been cut into countless fragments by the Heaven-lifting sword effortlessly, turning into a violent storm of energy.

Shortly afterwards, the meteor created by the secret technique arrived. Despite the startling disturbance created by the meteor, it seemed utterly flimsy before Jian Chen. It had been cut into several pieces, turning into energy that swept through the surroundings.

Jian Chen did not slow down. The Heaven-lifting sword swept towards the two great elders with terrifying sword intent.

In that critical moment, the two great elders bellowed out at the same time before activating a shield together and lifting it over their heads. Their energy flowed into the shield turbulently, making it shine with gorgeous colours.

The shield was a high quality god artifact. With their strengths after recently breaking through to the Seventh Heavenly Layer, it would be extremely arduous of them to power it alone. Even when they poured their strength together, they could only unleash less than half of the high quality god artifact’s power.

Boom!

Powered by Chaotic Force, the Heaven-lifting sword already demonstrated eighty percent of its might as a high quality god artifact. When it slashed against the high quality god artifact shield with terrifying sword Qi, the entire shield dimmed, immediately falling down from above and landing onto the two great elders.

Spurt! Blood sprayed from their mouths at the same time as they paled. They were already quite injured.

They were from the Immortal Feather sect, so both their cultivation methods and secret techniques were extremely extraordinary, but they had only just reached the Seventh Heavenly Layer of Immortal Emperor after all. Compared to Jian Chen whose battle prowess already rivalled Immortal Exalts, there was obviously a tremendous difference.

“Y-you…” A great elder pointed at Jian Chen. He was so stunned that he was unable to speak. They could all tell that Jian Chen’s cultivation had yet to reach late Immortal Emperor. After all, they could tell from the level of laws he used. However, they struggled to imagine how he could erupt with such terrifying battle prowess with his measly cultivation.

However, before they could think too much about it, sword Qi swept over again. The Heaven-lifting sword was wrapped in light, slashing over again.

The two great elders activated the high quality god artifact shield again. At the same time, they formed seals with their hands sternly, using secret techniques again.

Boom! The Heaven-lifting sword slashed against the shield viciously with the force of lightning. Terrifying energy swept through the surroundings. Afterwards, the high quality god artifact shield that protected the two great elders was flung far away, directly vanishing from their range of visibility.

But by now, the two great elders had completed their secret techniques. One of them was sheet-white as if their vitality had been drained. Meanwhile, a tall and terrifying demonic figure rapidly condensed behind him. It was like the ruler of the world, giving off a supreme bearing like it stood unparalleled.

When the tall, demonic figure appeared, the presence it gave off even seemed to influence the ways in the surroundings, making the laws pulse within ten thousand kilometres of it.

The demonic figure was the historic Grand Exalt of the Immortal Feather sect who had passed away who knew how many years ago. At this moment, he had been summoned again through a secret technique.

If this secret technique was used by the supreme ancestor of the Immortal Feather sect, then it really would possess some of the paramount might of a Grand Exalt, enough to easily overwhelm Ninth Heavenly Layer Immortal Exalts!

However, the secret technique’s power was limited to the caster’s cultivation, so it was obviously much weaker than it seemed.

“This technique is already enough to threaten Ninth Heavenly Layer Immortal Emperors.” Chi Yutian, who had retreated several dozen kilometres, was stern. He stared straight at the tall demonic figure.

The early Immortal Emperor, Shi Yingqi, as well as the Immortal Monarchs, were all frightened. They had already retreated to a hundred kilometres away.

At this moment, a streak of light shot towards the demonic figure like a bolt of lightning. Surging sword intent erupted, rushing towards the demonic figure.

Immediately, the demonic figure began to collapse part by part. In the end, under the great elder’s gaze of disbelief, it shattered.

After shattering the demonic figure, the streak of light did not halt at all. It rapidly fell straight down, slicing through the great elder’s skull and destroying his soul.

All of this occurred in a split second. The second great elder had not even noticed that his companion had already perished. By now, he had completed his technique as well. As a tremendous pressure spread through the surroundings, a violent storm of energy had already begun brewing. Afterwards, it condensed into a pitch-black sword.

Jian Chen did not use his ultimate will to sever the technique. A God Tier Immortal Technique cast by a Seventh Heavenly Layer Immortal Emperor was nothing in his eyes. He drew the Heaven-lifting sword and directly slashed down.

Boom!

The God Tier Immortal Technique was shattered by Jian Chen with a single blow. When the terrifying storm of energy swept over, Jian Chen slashed out again. Sword Qi criss-crossed together and sliced apart the incoming storm, which swept past Jian Chen with devastating power.

“Y-y-you’ve actually killed a great elder of our Immortal Feather sect. Our Immortal Feather sect will never spare you!” At this moment, the great elder who used the God Tier Immortal Technique finally noticed the death of his companion, which left him both startled and enraged.

However, Jian Chen had overcome their powerful secret techniques twice completely unscathed, which deeply astounded him. He immediately lost the courage to fight, using an escape technique that involved his essence blood without any hesitation.

Right when he had been enveloped by a cloud of blood, about to escape into the distance, Jian Chen acted. He seemed to have anticipated his actions, slashing out with the Heaven-lifting sword from afar.

The Shadowless Lifetaking Strike!

Jian Chen rarely ever used the Shadowless Lifetaking Strike against opponents of the same strength. He either used it on Ninth Heavenly Layer Immortal Emperors or Immortal Exalts.

As a result, when the great elder who had only reached the Seventh Heavenly Layer of Immortal Emperor recently received the Shadowless Lifetaking Strike, the damage was obviously severe. As the sword Qi from the Shadowless Lifetaking Strike erupted inside him, he let out a terrible cry. The blinding sword Qi pierced through his flesh, emerging from his countless pores. He suffered severe injuries.

He collapsed down on one knee, staring at Jian Chen with a pale face. His eyes were filled with deep hatred. He ground his teeth. “W-who exactly are you? Aren’t you afraid of retribution from our Immortal Feather sect for publicly opposing us like this?”

Jian Chen sneered. “Do you really think that everyone in the Immortals’ World fears retribution from your Immortal Feather sect? I’m not afraid to tell you that none of the three experts from the Immortal Feather sect who entered the Skyscraping World will be leaving here alive. Before long, the third person will be following in your footsteps.”

“You will regret opposing our Immortal Feather sect. The organisation behind you, everyone you’re familiar with, whether it’s your friends or your family, will die because of you…” The great elder roared hysterically before abandoning his body without any hesitation and fleeing with his soul.

Jian Chen extended a finger. A strand of sword Qi immediately caught up, destroying the soul.
