Chaotic Sword God

When the Illusionary Ancestor vanished into the teleportation formation, the Space-splitting Venerable slowly looked away. Currently, he sat cross-legged after hiding himself in the void, staying far away from the Sword Sect of Violet Heavens. Then he sank into his thoughts.

He was a Seventh Heavenly Layer Immortal Exalt. The senses of his soul were extremely powerful. If he wanted to, not a single disturbance on the entire Reverent Observance Heaven could escape his senses. As a result, the Space-splitting Venerable was completely aware of what the Illusionary Ancestor did on the Reverent Observance Heaven.

Of course, he did not have the courage to directly spy on the Illusionary Ancestor through the senses of his soul. Instead, he relied on his powerful senses to avoid any disrespect towards the Illusionary Ancestor.

“The Illusionary Ancestor seems to care very much about the Sword Sect of Violet Heavens. The reason why she went to the Sword Sect of Violet Heavens seems to be due to a single person, which is the sect master of the Sword Sect of Violet Heavens, Jian Chen!”

“Sect master of the Sword Sect of Violet Heavens, Jian Chen… Immortal Thousand General of the Observance Heaven City, Chang Yang… Just which of these identities is your true identity? Or perhaps neither…”

“However, why is the Illusionary Ancestor so interested in you? With her lofty status, she actually went as far as to personally investigate you. Now that is rare…”

“It’s not just the Illusionary Ancestor. Even crown prince Daowei Chengqing cares so much about you…” the Space-splitting Venerable murmured to himself.

Shortly afterwards, he looked at the Sword Sect of Violet Heavens below. Cold light flashed through his eyes.

......

…

The dense spiritual Qi formed a thick mist that permeated the Skyscraping World, leaving it a hazy white that severely limited vision.

At this moment, a figure rapidly moved through the dense mist. He moved extremely quickly. With every flash, he could cover a hundred kilometres. In just a few flashes, he had already travelled a thousand kilometres.

He was Jian Chen!

He had already sensed a cultivator in the range of where he stayed earlier through the spiritual Qi. For the sake of safety, Jian Chen chose to change his location without any hesitation.

This time, he travelled for several hours before stopping in a pile of boulders. Afterwards, he casually chose a large, flat rock to sit on. He began using the Skyscraping Sword Venerable’s secret technique to control the spiritual Qi in the surroundings.

Blinding azure and violet light flickered over his head. The sword spirits were still absorbing the Spiritual Fruit of Sword Nurturing, but their figures were clearly far more consolidated after all these days of recovery. Their presences were far stronger than before as well.

Now, the Spiritual Fruit of Sword Nurturing hovering between the sword spirits was close to running out of energy.

“Before they ingested the Spiritual Fruit of Sword Nurturing, the strength of the spirits of the twin swords was barely compatible with medium quality god artifacts. Controlling the swords as high quality god artifacts was an extremely tedious task. Now that they’ve absorbed an entire Spiritual Fruit of Sword Nurturing, they still aren’t completely compatible with high quality god artifacts but at least it won’t be as overwhelming as before.”

Jian Chen looked up at the sword spirits. He felt glad inside. Fortunately, the Spiritual Fruit of Sword Nurturing had evolved and had been elevated to an entirely new level. Otherwise, regular Spiritual Fruits of Sword Nurturing would never allow the sword spirits to strengthen so much.

At this moment, the presence of the sword spirits suddenly changed. The spiritual Qi Jian Chen had gathered in the surroundings began to vanish at a terrifying rate. It had been completely absorbed by the sword spirits in a very short moment.

It was as if at that moment, the sword spirits absorbed spiritual Qi at an entirely new speed.

All the dense spiritual Qi within a hundred kilometres had actually been mostly drained in just a few seconds, which made the mist fade away at a visible rate.

After half a minute, even the spiritual Qi within a thousand kilometres could not replenish in time. It rapidly ran out.

It was as if the sword spirits’ demand for spiritual Qi had reached an entirely new peak.

In order to provide the sword spirits with sufficient spiritual Qi, Jian Chen immediately changed locations, quickly appearing in a place dense with spiritual Qi several thousand kilometres away.

Shortly afterwards, he used the secret technique from the Skyscraping Sword Venerable to gather the spiritual Qi in the surroundings.

However, he only gathered the spiritual Qi within a thousand kilometres, as

it was not too far away. It would not take too long to draw over the spiritual Qi.

That was because the sword spirits absorbed spiritual Qi at a far too startling rate. He no longer had the time to wait for the spiritual Qi further away to gather.

When the spiritual Qi within a thousand kilometres began to thin out again, Jian Chen used the Laws of Space to travel, continuing to the next region.

Just like that, Jian Chen constantly moved around. In the end, he only stopped after switching locations almost a hundred times.

By now, the Spiritual Fruit of Sword Nurturing had completely vanished. It had been completely devoured by the sword spirits.

They had already stopped absorbing energy. Their bodies almost took on a tangible form, giving off powerful sword intent. They seemed like they possessed almost physical bodies.

“Zi Ying, Qing Suo, congratulations on your strength increase!” Jian Chen smiled brightly. It was entirely from the bottom of his heart. He could sense the strength of the sword spirits. To him, the stronger Zi Ying and Qing Suo were, the greater help they were to him.

Of course, the increase in strength of the sword spirits did not just mean greater battle prowess to him. More importantly, they had already become companions who had gone through thick and thin. Their unshakeable and indestructible friendship had already surpassed all else.

Jian Chen obviously wished for the wellbeing of such close companions.

“This Spiritual Fruit of Sword Nurturing was indeed extremely helpful to us. Master, with our current states, we’re completely compatible with high quality god artifact swords. It won’t be as arduous as before anymore.” Qing Suo also smiled brightly. It was just a few days, but it saved them many years of slow recovery, so she was obviously in an extremely good mood.

“Master, the only thing you have to worry about is the fusion of the twin swords now. As we recover, the power of the fusion will grow stronger as well. If you can’t make a further breakthrough with the Chaotic Body, even if you remove the saint cores on the twin swords and limit them to the strength of medium quality god artifacts, the backlash will still surpass the limits of what you can withstand, master,” Zi Ying said to Jian Chen sternly.

Jian Chen nodded. He obviously understood that, but now he had the Divine Formation of the Heavens as a trump card, he no longer relied on the fusion of the twin swords so much.

He had already purchased enough materials from the Merchant Union of Star Brilliance back then on the Hall Brilliance Heaven. As long as he had enough time, he could assemble the fifty thousand Nine-heavenly Xuan Immortals needed for the Divine Formation of the Heavens. By then, the strength of the Divine Formation of the Heavens would definitely rise to a whole new level.

“During the time between leaving the Hall Brilliance Heaven and entering the Skyscraping World, I’ve already created many Nine-heavenly Xuan Immortal disciples through the high grade Godking pills. As a result, the Divine Formation of the Heavens should be much stronger than when I killed the Space-purging Ancestor back then on the Hall Brilliance Heaven.”

“At the very least, it’ll be more than enough to deal with Sixth Heavenly Layer Immortal Exalts. However, when it comes to experts like that, heavily injuring them isn’t difficult. The difficult part is killing them in a single strike,” Jian Chen thought.

As soon as he thought of the Spiritual Fruit of Sword Nurturing, a figure appeared in his head. He thought of the Scholar Capital Master who had set up the concealing formation outside the cave where the Spiritual Fruit of Sword Nurturing was located.

The Scholar Capital Master had discovered the Spiritual Fruit of Sword Nurturing before him. However, he had not picked it, letting it continue to grow. Once the Spiritual Fruit of Sword Nurturing had reached a high enough quality, the Scholar Capital Master would come and pick it.

However, Jian Chen managed to beat him to it, so he knew that the Scholar Capital Master would utterly resent him.

“I’ve already formed a grudge with the Scholar Capital Master. I just wonder whether he’ll come over to the Skyscraping World and wait outside for me.” When he thought up to there, Jian Chen could not help but smile. He had many trump cards on him, which were completely enough for him to ignore any threats from Sixth Heavenly Layer Immortal Exalts.

The sword spirits had already vanished. They returned to the swords.

However, from the moment they returned to the swords, Jian Chen suddenly shuddered. As the master of the twin swords, he could clearly sense their strength.

Despite still being high quality god artifacts, Jian Chen felt that there was a tremendous difference in strength in the twin swords compared to before. Even the Heaven-lifting sword, which also happened to be a high quality god artifact, seemed like an infant before them.

At this moment, the Heaven-lifting sword that Jian Chen had subdued also sensed the presence of the twin swords. The entire weapon trembled, dimming its glow uncontrollably and backing down silently to the very edge.

“Despite all being high quality god artifacts, the twin swords completely overwhelm the Heaven-lifting sword.” Jian Chen could not help but sigh when he sensed this situation.

The twin swords right now seemed to bear a hint of the special characteristics of sovereign god artifacts already. They could overwhelm and pressure other high quality god artifacts naturally.

In other words, if Jian Chen used the twin swords, his battle prowess would undergo a drastic transformation. It would be far beyond his strength when he wielded the Heaven-lifting sword.

“The twin swords have grown stronger, so I can’t fall too far behind myself. Otherwise, even if I possess such powerful weapons, I won’t have the strength to wield them,” Jian Chen smiled wryly before subconsciously looking at the top of the Skyscraping World. There was his opportunity to reach the eighteenth layer of the Chaotic Body.
