I Married the President

Chapter 365: Chapter 365: Love and Justice Are Together

Claire Sinclair let out a soft sigh of relief. Thankfully, people online hadn’t attacked her, so she considered her task complete. She just wondered what Princess Morinka would ultimately choose.

’Whatever. I’ll get the report on Ethan Kingsley done first.’

After half a day of hard work, Claire Sinclair finally finished the article on Ethan Kingsley.

Unlike the lengthy pieces she usually wrote, this time she used a brief, engaging style to introduce Ethan Kingsley’s stance on charity, and she finished it off with one of his photos.

As soon as the report went live, she reposted it on her Weibo page, adding the comment: ”Charity is the most beautiful gift we can give back to the world. Love and justice stand together!”

Shortly after, Ethan Kingsley also reposted her Weibo post and replied: ”Love and justice stand together!”

As a result, another wave of fans online began to ship the two of them as a new fantasy couple.

In any case, the matter was soon over.

In the blink of an eye, Princess Morinka’s visit was fast approaching, and the Astoria Daily was buzzing with activity once more.

An order came down from on high, specifically requesting that Claire Sinclair personally interview Princess Morinka. Furthermore, she was to accompany the princess for the two full days of her visit.

For the first time in her life, Claire Sinclair felt true pressure. She hadn’t even felt this way during Little Prince Hale’s visit.

’She had a feeling this assignment was going to be quite a challenge.’

Henry Hartwell called her into his office again and asked with a meaningful look, ”Claire Sinclair, do you know why President Lockwood specifically requested you to host Princess Morinka?”

Claire Sinclair answered uncertainly, ”Because I represent the Astoria Daily, and the Astoria Daily represents the public interest?”

”Not bad. You’re finally starting to show some real insight.”

Claire Sinclair gave an embarrassed smile. ”You’re too kind.”

Henry Hartwell smiled. ”Last time, President Lockwood had you host Little Prince Hale because of your sister’s connection to him. Having you host Princess Morinka this time is fundamentally different.”

Claire Sinclair couldn’t help but ask, ”So, will being sincere and hospitable be enough this time?”

”I just want you to protect yourself. There are many people in the world who don’t want Princess Morinka to get too close with us in Aridia, especially the people from Yarrow.”

”Ah, I understand.” ’I’ll definitely be extra careful this time!’

Henry Hartwell said finally, ”Once you’re done with this assignment, I’ll give you a long break. How does seven days sound?”

’A seven-day vacation!!!’

This was the first time Claire Sinclair had been offered such a perk since she started the job. ”That’s plenty! More than enough! Thank you, Teacher Hartwell!”

”Haha, now go on, get back to work.”

”Okay, Teacher Hartwell, I’ll head out now!”

Elated by the prospect of a long break, Claire Sinclair was in high spirits all morning. When she sat down to write, the words flowed effortlessly.

Just as she was getting ready to leave work for the day, she suddenly received a message from Editor Redbird at CloudScript Books.

Editor Redbird: Hey dear, I wanted to discuss putting your novel behind the paywall.

Mrs. Quincy: The paywall?

Editor Redbird: That’s right! It’s been free for a few months, so it’s time to reap the rewards. We’ll be putting it behind the paywall in three days. Could you build up a bit of a backlog and do a mass release of 20,000 characters on the day?

’Twenty thousand characters in three days? Even though she was a fast writer, she just didn’t have that much time.’

Claire Sinclair was still trying to think of an excuse to refuse when Editor Redbird sent another message: If you can’t manage twenty thousand, ten thousand is fine too. Basically, the more the better. Also, we’d like to invite you to film a short video to ’meet’ your readers as part of the promotion for going premium. And I have some good news for you...

Mrs. Quincy: What good news?
