I Married the President

Chapter 352: Chapter 352: Don’t Kill Him

Claire Sinclair could almost picture standing with him above the clouds, watching the sun rise and set together. A captivating smile unconsciously graced her lips.

’I hope that day comes when he wins the election.’

At Sovereign Plaza, the event had begun.

First, the incumbent president, Arthur Lockwood, was to give a half-hour speech. Only then would it be the candidates’ turn to speak.

Arthur Lockwood walked to the podium and addressed the millions of voters, ”Ladies and gentlemen, my beloved citizens, good afternoon...”

Claire Sinclair had little interest in President Lockwood’s speech. Just as she was about to reply to his message, her watch began to vibrate violently.

An emergency alert popped up simultaneously on her computer screen and phone—

The surveillance footage showed several masked men in black breaking into a private residence. The house was located only a kilometer from Sovereign Plaza. The homeowner’s wife had given birth to a baby boy a few months ago, and they had installed several cameras in the house to record his growth.

Considering that terrorists kill without batting an eye, Claire Sinclair had aggregated the feeds from all private surveillance cameras within a three-kilometer radius of Sovereign Plaza. To her surprise, she’d actually found something suspicious.

At that moment, only an elderly person was in the house taking care of the baby boy. The homeowner and his wife were at work.

The elderly person was startled when the men in black burst in.

The elderly person was about to cry out when one of the men suddenly pulled out a pistol and shot them in the head!

Seeing this, Claire Sinclair’s heart clenched violently, as if it had been pierced.

’Those bastards!’

Claire Sinclair was about to send out the intel when another figure suddenly appeared on the surveillance feed.

Although his face was masked, Claire Sinclair recognized his clothes and those ghostly phoenix eyes. They were all far too familiar.

’Orion Osborne... He’s with those men in black!’

It seemed they hadn’t yet discovered the hidden cameras, seeing only the one mounted in the corner of the nursery.

Orion Osborne tilted his head up slightly, raised his pistol, and stared at the camera for several seconds.

His gaze then slowly shifted to the baby boy sleeping peacefully in the crib. He raised his gun, as if intending to kill the infant as well.

At the sight, Claire Sinclair’s heart nearly leaped out of her chest.

Without a second thought, she grabbed her phone, quickly keyed in a string of code, and sent him a message: Don’t kill him.

Orion Osborne felt his phone vibrate. He unhurriedly took it out, read the notification, and the corners of his eyes curved up slightly.

A moment later, Claire Sinclair received his reply: You saw.

Scorched Jason: Don’t kill him, I’m begging you.

Wine: Okay.

After replying with the single word, ”Okay,” Orion Osborne suddenly raised his pistol and fired a shot at the camera. A section of the surveillance feed went black.

Startled, Claire Sinclair hastily switched to another feed.

Unfortunately, the other feeds were for different rooms. She couldn’t see what was happening in the nursery.

Claire Sinclair bit her lip. There was no time to lose. She immediately copied the surveillance footage she had just backed up on her computer and sent it to Aiden Howkins’s phone.

In less than half a minute, Aiden Howkins entered with several people.

When they entered, Claire Sinclair’s computer screen had already automatically switched to another surveillance feed.

It showed Orion Osborne dismissing the other men in black, who then scattered into different streets.

Although all the men wore masks and baseball caps, their gaits were remarkably similar, and they all exuded a sinister aura.
