BTTH: Rebirth of Liu Xi

Billions of rays of Spiritual Light burst forth, and boundless azure flames surged from the void like a dammed lake breaking open, a torrential flood swallowing the heavens.

Hiss—!

The rampant Demonic Energy recoiled like prey before its predator. Within the blazing Azure Flame, the corruption burned away, curling into wisps of fading smoke.

The first to suffer was the Profound Demon Emperor who had just emerged from the rift. Caught completely off guard, he was drenched head-to-toe in that sacred flame. His twisted expression froze in disbelief, then warped into agony—finally erupting into a bone-chilling shriek.

Before countless eyes, the Azure Flame burned through the demon’s hair, flesh, tendons, and bones alike.

Chi! Chi!

The monstrous face melted into a hideous, pulpy ruin.

”Infernal Demon Flame!”

From the demon’s massive form erupted endless black fire, wrapping his body like armor forged in the depths of hell. Its aura was vile—an abhorrent, world-corroding flame born of despair itself.

As one of the Flame Demon Clan’s Profound Demon Emperors, he could never have imagined that he would one day be burned—by fire!

But no amount of frantic resistance could withstand Liu Xi’s long-prepared strike: Demonic Flame World Destruction! The collision between the two flames was like pouring water into boiling oil—explosive, violent, and final.

The infernal blaze screamed in defiance, only to feed its own destruction. Within moments, under countless horrified gazes, that towering Demon Emperor’s body dissolved completely into ash and darkness.

A vast Celestial Body formed from fire rose from the inferno—Liu Xi’s Azure Lotus Celestial Body. The giant hand descended like the will of heaven itself, seizing the demon in its grasp.

Boom!

The world quaked as the colossal palm clenched shut. The Demon Emperor’s body exploded, shattering into endless black fire—the remnants of the Infernal Demon Flame.

”Hm? This flame… How interesting.”

Liu Xi’s figure stepped forth from the void, eyes gleaming with intrigue.

The Azure Flames lunged, encircling the black fire like hungry wolves before swallowing it whole. Yet within the conflagration, the Demon Emperor’s soul still clung to life, screaming silently.

With a flick of Liu Xi’s thought, the Azure Flame surged, shredding the demon’s struggling soul into dust.

The fragments drifted into Liu Xi’s hand and were instantly absorbed by the Demon Slayer Token he held.

The crimson digits upon it blazed to life—leaping madly from zero to one hundred, one thousand, three thousand, five thousand!

In the blink of an eye, the token displayed five thousand Demon Slayer Points.

From Low-Rank Demon Slayer Master, to Mid-Rank, then High-Rank—the promotion was instantaneous.

A feat most could only dream of achieving in their lifetimes.

To reach the rank of Demon Slayer King required ten thousand points—Liu Xi had already claimed half that total in a single strike.

As realization swept across the battlefield, the Great Thousand World’s forces erupted in thunderous cheers.

Before their eyes, a Profound Demon Emperor—an existence equal to an Immortal Grade Heavenly Sovereign—had been annihilated.

Every gaze turned skyward, burning with awe and reverence. At that moment, Liu Xi was no longer just a cultivator. He was their hero.

Qin Tian’s eyes gleamed with admiration. Liu Xi’s strength exceeded every rumor—brutal, domineering, absolute. Even Qin Tian himself, with all his preparation, could never have slain a Profound Demon Emperor so cleanly.

In that instant, Qin Tian’s respect for Liu Xi deepened. The legends hadn’t exaggerated—they had understated him.

The Grand Elder of the Flame Nether Sect and the Palace Lord of the Northern Desolation Hall stared in stunned silence, pity flickering across their faces.

Poor Fire Spirit Ancestor… how unfortunate to have provoked this man.

To kill a Profound Demon Emperor with a single blow—this was no ordinary power. The Fire Spirit Ancestor, even at his peak, had merely been a Spiritual Grade Heavenly Sovereign. Liu Xi had already surpassed that realm entirely.

Mo Feng and Elder Zhao were likewise speechless, eyes wide with disbelief. In mere seconds, Liu Xi had become a High-Rank Demon Slayer Master—surpassing them both.

They had hunted Fiends for decades and never slain even a single Abyss Demon Emperor. Liu Xi had just killed one with effortless grace.

Standing high above, Liu Xi calmly studied the battlefield. From this first kill, he had gained a clear sense of the Fiends’ nature—ferocious, enduring, but ultimately inferior to those forged through tribulation and destiny.

Still, their tenacious souls and peculiar flames intrigued him.

For the first time, Liu Xi felt a genuine thrill of the hunt.

Through the massive rift, his gaze pierced into the Abyss Domain beyond—two remaining Profound Demon Emperors, six Abyss Demon Emperors, and countless Demon Kings and Generals.

His eyes gleamed—not with enmity, but with the sharp focus of a predator eyeing its prey.

He waved toward Qin Tian, then guided his Azure Lotus Celestial Body forward, treading atop a sea of fire as he charged straight into the Abyss Domain.

Qin Tian laughed aloud, blood boiling with long-forgotten excitement. In all his years of demon slaying, he had never once dared to enter the Abyss Domain itself.

Now, with Liu Xi beside him, he felt that same reckless fire ignite again.

”Die!”

With a roar, Qin Tian commanded his Heavenly Wheel Demon Slayer Body, soaring into the sky as he followed Liu Xi through the colossal rift that spanned hundreds of thousands of feet.

The remaining four Heavenly Sovereigns gritted their teeth and followed close behind. They couldn’t allow Liu Xi and Qin Tian to face the Abyss Domain alone.

After all, six Abyss Demon Emperors still awaited them.

Behind them, the rest of the army—only selected Earth Sovereigns and elite legions—held their ground. Ordinary Sovereigns would be useless within the Fiend lands.

What lay ahead required speed, precision, and the courage to retreat when the time came.

If any were trapped within the Abyss Domain, even rescue would be impossible.

At that moment, Liu Xi’s Azure Lotus Celestial Body strode atop waves of flame, crossing the threshold into the Abyss Domain in a flash.

It was a strange sensation—another world entirely. The laws of energy themselves had shifted. Spiritual Energy weakened to a trickle, while the suffocating Demonic Energy grew dense as molten tar.

Liu Xi could feel his strength suppressed. The heavens here rejected him; only his inner Spiritual Energy remained usable, his might reduced by nearly thirty percent.

”Still manageable,” he murmured with a smile. ”And it seems I’m not alone. These flame-wreathed ones must be from the Flame Demon Clan, hmm?”

Despite the oppressive aura, Liu Xi’s expression remained calm—his eyes burning brighter as he stared at the enemy ahead.

Across from him, two Profound Demon Emperors and six Abyss Demon Emperors glared back, faces twisted in fury and disbelief.

Never had they imagined that one of their own would be slain so easily—nor that anyone from the Great Thousand World would dare invade their domain.

”Kill him!” one of the Profound Demon Emperors roared.

Instantly, the Fiend hordes surged forward, waves of Demonic Energy crashing toward Liu Xi like an ocean of darkness.
