BTTH: Rebirth of Liu Xi

After impaling more than a hundred Earth Sovereigns with his spear, Liu Xi didn’t take their lives immediately — after all, these people represented the foundation of the West Heaven Continent.

He decided to leave them a sliver of mercy. But mercy didn’t mean forgiveness — their Spiritual Energy was completely sealed.

Once that was done, Liu Xi tossed them aside like discarded rags. Having devoured the Spiritual Energy of more than a hundred Earth Sovereigns, he condensed it all into a colossal lotus of azure flame, ten thousand zhang wide.

Though he could have refined it himself, Liu Xi had a better use for it. With a wave of his hand, he guided the Azure Lotus down onto the remains of the Bodhisattva Ancient Tree.

The Azure Lotus possessed not only the power to refine all things but also to recreate life. Its thick vitality surged outward, instantly flooding the broken trunk of the ancient tree.

Once, the Life Spirit Flame could make mere seeds of herbs mature to a pill-refining quality. The potency of such a power was self-evident.

Now, however, Liu Xi’s Azure Lotus — reborn from countless Heavenly Flames — was far stronger. With the combined energy of over a hundred Earth Sovereigns, its life force was a hundredfold greater than before.

Three days later, the Bodhisattva Ancient Tree had regained its full splendor. It had even broken past its former ten-thousand-zhang limit, towering over one hundred thousand zhang high.

Its lush crown reached toward the nine heavens, its roots sank deep into the Netherworld, and its ancient trunk emanated an aura of primordial eternity.

Beneath the Bodhisattva Ancient Tree, Liu Xi’s eyes shimmered with amazement as he looked upon the faint humanoid figure formed within the holy radiance. The figure’s features were hidden by divine light, leaving only a vague silhouette.

”So this is your appearance now,” Liu Xi said with a faint smile. ”But like this, no matter where you go, you’ll always attract attention.”

A soft, genderless voice replied gently, ”After taking form, I do not have a fixed appearance. If you prefer, I can change it.”

The holy figure shifted slightly. The divine light rippled — and in an instant, a handsome, ethereal figure appeared, exuding an elegant and noble aura.

Liu Xi raised a brow. ”It’s like looking into a mirror.”

Indeed, the new form looked exactly like him in both face and figure.

”So, you can become anyone you wish?”

”My current form is ever-changing. Before I finalize my true form, even gender is meaningless to me.”

Bodhisattva chuckled softly. Light shimmered again — and when it faded, Liu Xi froze for a moment.

Standing before him was none other than Xiao Yixian.

That slender waist, that serene and pure face, that gentle smile — it was as if Xiao Yixian from the Dou Qi Continent had stepped into the Great Thousand Worlds.

Liu Xi turned away quickly, a flicker of longing flashing through his eyes before he suppressed it. Waving his hand, he said with a small laugh, ”I understand. You can change back — no need for the vague glow, just… use my face.”

”Xiao Yixian” giggled lightly, his body shining once again. When the light dispersed, the figure before him looked like Liu Xi — only softer, more androgynous, like a female version of him wearing men’s robes.

Liu Xi nodded in approval. ”Better. At least now I won’t start having… strange thoughts.”

He reminded himself firmly — Bodhisattva is a tree!

”Time to deal with those people,” Liu Xi said, his expression cooling. ”We’ll use your newfound presence to make them behave.”

With a flash, the two disappeared from the air, reappearing far away.

Below them lay the crippled Earth Sovereigns of the West Heaven Continent — their Spiritual Energy sealed, their bodies bruised and battered. Some had even perished already.

After sealing them, Liu Xi hadn’t bothered to interfere further — their survival depended on luck.

Now, with Liu Xi’s overwhelming aura pressing down like a mountain and the Bodhisattva beside him radiating a Heavenly Sovereign’s divine might, all remaining experts turned pale.

The divine entity they once schemed to seize had already recovered — and become a living being.

Moments ago, many had still entertained thoughts of escape. Now, none dared move a muscle.

Before, against Liu Xi, a High Earth Sovereign, there was still a sliver of hope. But facing a Heavenly Sovereign, even the ends of the world would not save them.

”I meant no offense!” one shouted, bowing low. ”We were only caught in the chaos. It’s all a misunderstanding!”

”Please, spare us, my lord!”

Soon, the mountain valley was filled with the voices of pleading. Even proud figures like Old Monster Xuan Pao, Old Man Lin Dong, and Old Man Gui Zhen joined the chorus.

Before a Heavenly Sovereign, there was no shame in begging.

Liu Xi watched them coldly, a faint smirk tugging at his lips. ”Ten billion Sovereign Spiritual Liquid per person. Pay — and live. Refuse — and die.”

A wave of despair swept through the crowd. Ten billion Sovereign Spiritual Liquid! For many Lower Earth Sovereigns, that was their entire fortune — if they even had that much.

At Liu Xi’s signal, Bodhisattva waved his hand. A torrent of Spiritual Energy swept forth, carving a deep ravine through the ground. Several Earth Sovereigns caught in it perished instantly.

”No payment — no life.”

Liu Xi and the Bodhisattva played their roles perfectly — one cold, one calm. After her display of power, Liu Xi added with a faint smile, ”Those short on Sovereign Spiritual Liquid may compensate with divine arts, artifacts, or spiritual treasures. But if you have nothing to offer… You die.”

”I’ll pay! I’ll compensate, my lord!” someone shouted first.

Once one yielded, others followed like falling dominoes.

Liu Xi collected payment after payment. Each time one paid their debt, he released their seal and allowed them to leave.

Some were wealthy enough to pay in full — they were freed swiftly. Others had to empty their Storage Rings, offering divine arts, artifacts, and spirit techniques in desperation.

Liu Xi accepted everything with equal indifference. He left them alive — but stripped of all pride, fortune, and dignity.

By the end, many walked away half-naked, reduced to tears. The only mercy Liu Xi granted was a single undergarment’s worth of decency.

The women, at least, he spared from humiliation, allowing them to keep one robe. After all, Liu Xi was ruthless, not depraved.

When it was all done, his haul was staggering: over a trillion Sovereign Spiritual Liquid, countless divine arts, spiritual arts, artifacts, and treasures.

Each item gleamed with power — none were ordinary.

Finally, only one man remained — Old Monster Xuan Pao.

When Liu Xi approached, the old monster quickly presented ten billion Sovereign Spiritual Liquid, eyes filled with hope.

Liu Xi smiled faintly — but that smile made the elder’s blood run cold.

”How could I possibly let you go so easily?” Liu Xi said softly. ”I’ve collected quite a lot of things. I’ll need you… to lead me somewhere.”

He extended his hand.

Xuan Pao’s eyes widened in horror as azure flames surged from Liu Xi’s palm, flooding into his body.

The old monster’s screams echoed through the sky as the flames rampaged within, searching relentlessly for his Divine Spirit.

At last, his gaze turned vacant. Upon the forehead of his Divine Spirit, a lotus mark of pale blue light appeared — Liu Xi’s brand of dominion.
