BTTH: Rebirth of Liu Xi

The boundless storm raged across the skies as Liu Xi’s figure blurred, merging into the Azure Lotus Celestial Body. Instantly, the massive form came alive — its once lifeless eyes now blazed with an overwhelming fighting intent. The Celestial Body stirred, and the surge of power caused ripples through the surrounding Spiritual Energy, the pressure sweeping outward in a terrifying wave.

The oppressive might even made figures such as Violet Cloud Lord, Venerable Thunder Note, and Golden Eagle Emperor — all powerful Earth Sovereigns — instinctively retreat, unwilling to be anywhere near that storm of destruction.

”This… is the power of a Heavenly Sovereign!”

Their eyes burned with barely concealed envy. Though these Earth Sovereigns could dominate their territories and rule as kings, in the vast expanse of the Great Thousand World, they were no more than local tyrants. Only a Heavenly Sovereign could truly make a name for themselves across the realms, capable of ruling entire continents as supreme beings.

Even on Skylaw Continent — one of the Ten Great Continents — several Heavenly Sovereigns coexisted, yet no one had managed to unify it. In any lesser land, a Heavenly Sovereign would already be its sole master.

The pressure radiating from Liu Xi made even Pellet Sun Ancestor and Venerable Violet Thunder exchange uneasy glances.

’This brat… he’s no simple character. To display such power right after advancing to the Heavenly Sovereign Realm… where exactly did he come from?’

Though Venerable Violet Thunder appeared arrogant, he wasn’t without calculation. Skylaw Continent could sustain only so many Heavenly Sovereigns. A new one appearing meant fewer resources for the rest — hence, Liu Xi had to be suppressed.

Yet to attack two against one would be beneath their dignity.

”Pellet Sun Ancestor, this brat’s mine,” Venerable Violet Thunder sneered. ”Let me teach him what it means to respect his elders!”

”Don’t underestimate him,” Pellet Sun Ancestor warned gravely.

”I know!”

With that, Venerable Violet Thunder’s body vanished in a flash of purple light, his voice echoing like rolling thunder.

”Nine Heaven Lightning Origin Celestial Body — Thunder God Form!”

A colossal lightning manifestation appeared, surrounded by countless arcs of violet electricity that roared like dragons, the sky trembling beneath its presence.

But Liu Xi didn’t retreat. Having absorbed the power of tribulation lightning earlier, his Azure Lotus Celestial Body brimmed with terrifying might. The Celestial Body stepped forward, shattering the void, vanishing in a blur — and the next instant, under countless stunned gazes, two colossal figures clashed in midair.

The heavens shook.

The world split apart.

The aftermath tore space into gaping rifts, chaotic currents swirling violently within — any ordinary Earth Sovereign caught in that would be annihilated.

Then, silence.

Every pair of eyes widened in disbelief, their expressions frozen between awe and confusion, as if their very sense of reality had shattered.

Liu Xi’s Azure Lotus Celestial Body had punched straight through Venerable Violet Thunder’s manifestation, shattering its chest entirely. Azure flames swirled across it, bursting and devouring until the lightning body was obliterated from within.

As for Venerable Violet Thunder himself, he was sent hurtling backward, vomiting blood, his face pale as ash and his eyes wide with shock.

In that brief clash, the sheer force of Liu Xi’s strike had nearly stopped his heart. If not for his Heavenly Sovereign Spiritual Body, that single punch might have killed him outright.

”How… how is this possible…” he gasped inwardly. The strength Liu Xi had displayed wasn’t something a newly ascended Heavenly Sovereign should possess — even an Immortal Grade Heavenly Sovereign might struggle to unleash such power!

The remaining lightning energy wrapped around the Azure Lotus Celestial Body, scorching it slightly before being absorbed entirely — the azure flames grew brighter, stronger.

Liu Xi’s calm voice echoed through the heavens. ”Is that all?”

The words were simple, yet everyone heard the mockery beneath them. The mighty Venerable Violet Thunder, one of the continent’s strongest, had been crushed with a single punch.

Even Pellet Sun Ancestor’s expression darkened — after all, his strength was on par with Venerable Violet Thunder’s. If Liu Xi could defeat him so easily, then one punch might destroy him as well.

Liu Xi sighed lightly, his tone indifferent. ”I’m not looking down on you two… but truly, you’re both just trash.”

”You—!” Pellet Sun Ancestor’s face flushed crimson, his body trembling with rage. Since ascending to Heavenly Sovereign, no one had dared speak to him that way. His killing intent surged violently.

He clapped his hands together, and a blazing sun ignited between them. With a wave, he flung it into the sky, where it burst apart in a radiant explosion that illuminated the heavens.

”I suppose you think we’re beneath you?” Pellet Sun Ancestor said coldly. ”Then allow me to summon someone more… appropriate. I hope you don’t run when you see your new opponent.”

Liu Xi chuckled. ”Fine. Just make it quick — don’t waste my time.”

He wasn’t worried in the slightest. If anything, he was eager to test his newfound limits — and if things went poorly, he could always escape.

Yet those watching from afar grew deathly pale.

”Even the veteran Heavenly Sovereign, Venerable Violet Thunder, fell in one strike… but if Pellet Sun Ancestor calls upon Duke You Xuan, the White Tiger King, or the Ghost Emperor, this man won’t stand a chance!”

”It’s said the Ghost Emperor has already stepped into the Immortal Grade Heavenly Sovereign Realm — if he arrives, no one can resist!”

Mandala’s delicate face tightened with anxiety. ”It’s come to this after all… If the Ghost Emperor truly appears, even Master Qing Lian won’t be able to fight him.”

She turned to Xuan Pao anxiously. ”We must warn him — that the Ghost Emperor has already reached the Immortal Grade!”

But Xuan Pao simply smiled faintly. ”Have faith in the Master. He never fights unprepared.”

Still, Mandala’s heart was restless.

Then suddenly—

Three immense auras erupted across the heavens.

A chilling, sinister voice followed, echoing like thunder.

”Foolish brat… you could have left quietly, yet you chose defiance. Now, don’t blame this Emperor for being merciless.”
