BTTH: Rebirth of Liu Xi

At a certain moment, the faint vortex of Spiritual Energy in the Nine Heavens abruptly dispersed, only to reform into a vast expanse of thick, heavy Spiritual Clouds. Those clouds spanned tens of thousands of zhang, radiating terrifying and boundless waves of power. Even Liu Xi, with his current strength, felt a faint sense of dread—it was definitely a force beyond the Heavenly Sovereign Realm!

Yet his expression remained calm. The Great Thousand Worlds had already lifted its restrictions. During the Spirit Convergence process, though there would be heavenly backlash, the heavens would still leave the Bodhisattva Ancient Tree a trace of hope.

As the Spiritual Tribulation took form, the Bodhisattva Ancient Tree’s path of Spirit Convergence had officially begun. Spiritual Energy surged toward the tree, condensing into glittering motes of light. Deep within the Bodhisattva Ancient Tree, a hazy orb gradually began to form—it was the condensation of its true spirit.

It could be called a soul, though in the Great Thousand Worlds, such a form was referred to as the Divine Spirit. Once this Divine Spirit fully took shape, the Bodhisattva Ancient Tree would become a true living being.

High above, the clouds churned, the waves of Spiritual Energy growing more violent with every breath, spreading outward until they disturbed the very essence of the Western Heaven Continent.

Within the Little Western Heaven Region, the four great God Clans—Luo, Xue, Li, and Gu—all sensed this terrifying fluctuation. The clan leaders trembled, for it was the same kind of power that had once drawn them in and caused their previous disastrous losses. Now, feeling it again, they immediately turtled up, ordering every powerhouse within their clans that no one was to approach the unnamed mountain range.

Across the vast Western Heaven Continent, a land no smaller than the Dou Qi Continent, countless powerful forces thrived. Clans like the Luo God Clan were far from the only top-tier factions here.

The Star Pavilion, Langya Sword Sect, Overlord Blade Sect, Heavenly Axe Pavilion, Liu Li Mansion—and even mighty rogue experts like Old Man Gui Zhen, Old Man Lin Dong, and the Old Mknster Xuan Pao—all sensed the same disturbance.

”This fluctuation... it’s coming from the Little Western Heaven Region. That’s the territory of the four God Clans. Could it be that a heavenly treasure is being born?”

”With such terrifying Spiritual Energy... it must be an unparalleled sacred artifact!”

”If we can glimpse even a trace of the secret to breaking through the Heavenly Sovereign Realm…”

In an instant, the entire Western Heaven Continent was stirred. Regardless of their motives—greed, curiosity, or ambition—countless experts began rushing toward the Little Western Heaven Region. Among them were many Earth Sovereigns, from early to peak completion. For these experts, the deterrence of the four God Clans meant little.

Boom!

From within the depths of the Spiritual Clouds came a deafening thunderclap. A colossal Thunder Dragon tore through the heavy clouds and crashed straight toward the Bodhisattva Ancient Tree. But the tree refused to yield. Its canopy shuddered, and waves of pristine, pure energy surged skyward, forming a half-spherical barrier that enveloped the heavens.

Bang!

The barrier exploded instantly, scattering into endless streams of pure energy that roiled like an ocean. The Thunder Dragon roared, diving downward with savage force, only to have its body gradually dissolved by that sea of light. When it finally vanished, the pure energy too had thinned considerably.

Liu Xi exhaled softly. The lightning was terrifying, yet the Bodhisattva Ancient Tree handled it well enough. If it were only this level of tribulation, the Spirit Convergence would proceed smoothly.

But in the next instant, his expression changed slightly.

The clouds shifted again, and a Blackwater Dragon formed within them, breaking free with an earth-shaking roar. As it appeared, the entire sky grew damp, and the air around Liu Xi seemed to weigh down on his body.

”Heavy Water?” Liu Xi’s brows furrowed. The tribulations that accompanied the Bodhisattva Ancient Tree’s Spirit Convergence were indeed unpredictable.

The Blackwater Dragon rampaged through the pure energy sea, nearly reaching within a hundred zhang of the Bodhisattva Ancient Tree before finally being erased. But the next calamity came swiftly—a Wind Dragon, its translucent form carrying razor-sharp claws and teeth. Even Liu Xi felt a chill across his skin; if that creature’s wind blades struck him directly, they might actually wound his body. Considering his physique rivaled that of divine beasts, the sheer might of the Wind Dragon was astonishing.

The Wind Dragon ripped apart the void, shredding the sea of pure energy. Its countless blades slashed across the Bodhisattva Ancient Tree’s canopy.

Swish! Swish!

Leaves fell in torrents, branches snapped, and massive chunks of the tree broke off, plummeting from the ten-thousand-zhang heights. Liu Xi’s expression turned grim. The clouds above remained just as dense—at this rate, the tree’s Spirit Convergence would be far from easy.

”Roar!”

A deafening roar shook the heavens as a Flame Dragon burst forth next, wreathed in blazing fire. Its crimson scales gleamed, lifelike and fierce, and its serpentine form exuded scorching destruction. The dragon swept across the skies, burning away the last remnants of pure energy before crashing directly onto the Bodhisattva Ancient Tree.

Flames consumed everything. Even as leaves fell from the branches, they were reduced to ash midair. When the fire finally subsided, the once lush Bodhisattva Ancient Tree was left charred and bare, its blackened trunk covered in burn marks.

After the Flame Dragon dissipated, the clouds finally stilled. No further tribulations descended for the moment, allowing the tree a brief respite. Though its appearance was now pitiful, stripped bare and lifeless, its spiritual aura burned stronger than ever—more vivid, more determined.

Unyielding. Resolute. Defiant.

Through countless ages of existence, the Bodhisattva Ancient Tree had been but a vessel of reincarnation, devoid of true consciousness. Now, for the first time, it possessed its own will—how ironic that wisdom should awaken only in the face of annihilation.

Desperately, the tree absorbed the surrounding Spiritual Energy, replenishing itself. This Spirit Convergence could not fail.

Time passed, and the clouds grew darker still, no trace of light seeping through. Cracks spread through their depths, forming a vast abyssal fissure. From within it surged waves of destructive Spiritual Energy and a flood of dense Chaotic Qi.

That gray, viscous substance spilled downward like a river, corroding even space itself, revealing the darkness of the void beyond. When the Chaotic Qi fell upon the Bodhisattva Ancient Tree, its trunk—hard enough to resist even Earth Sovereigns—was etched with deep, corroded marks.

”What terrifying energy... Black fissures and primordial Chaotic Qi... even a Heavenly Sovereign’s tribulation is no more than this!”

The first to arrive was a peak Earth Sovereign. His hair was white as snow, yet his complexion ruddy and full of vitality, giving him the look of a youthful sage. His gaze swept across the scene before settling on the Bodhisattva Ancient Tree—its trunk already withering, as though countless years had eroded its life away.

One after another, more Earth Sovereigns arrived. None greeted the others; instead, they clustered in small groups, watching the spectacle from afar.

In just a short time, over a hundred Earth Sovereigns had gathered—drawn by the same impossible power.
