BTTH: Rebirth of Liu Xi

Within the silent chamber of the Dragon Abyss Auction Pavilion, Liu Xi sat cross-legged, his gaze fixed upon the meteorite-like mineral hovering before him. His eyes half-narrowed, Spiritual Perception surged outward, swirling madly around the stone until even the air shuddered and tore apart with a faint wail. Yet, the mysterious ore showed no response—it was as if his perception struck a void. No matter how sharp his Spiritual Sense became, it could not penetrate even a fraction of the stone’s surface.

”How interesting…” Liu Xi murmured, his tone filled with amusement. ”Just this level of hardness alone makes that one billion Sovereign Spiritual Liquid well spent. There will always be a way to unlock you.”

He parted his lips and exhaled a breath of Azure Flame. The flame surged like a dragon, wrapping around the meteorite and lifting it into the air. In that moment, blazing azure light illuminated the chamber as waves of heat distorted space. Even the air itself began to evaporate into nothingness.

Were it not for Liu Xi’s restraint—compressing the Azure Flame within a strict boundary—this entire chamber, along with half the pavilion, would already have been reduced to ash.

The power of refinement erupted. The Azure Flame flowed like mercury, seeping into the stone without gaps. Finally, under its endless corrosion, the once-stable internal structure of the ore began to loosen, revealing a faint fissure. The flame slithered inward like a spirit serpent, beginning to peel back the secrets buried within.

The mystery of the meteorite was finally starting to unfold.

Having over two hundred billion in assets, Liu Xi was treated as a supreme guest of the Dragon Abyss Pavilion. After his earlier negotiations with Zhao Yuanyuan, the auctioned items had already been delivered.

However, the Moonlight Ganoderma, Clear Spirit Fruit, Undying Grass, and other herbs Liu Xi had ordered in massive quantities could not be gathered so quickly. Thus, he chose to remain here temporarily.

He requested a quiet cultivation chamber to study the meteorite’s secrets, while Old Monster Xuan Pao was sent to handle the logistics—working with Zhao Yuanyuan to secure every herb and ore Liu Xi required.

The effort was monumental. To meet his demand, Zhao Yuanyuan had to approach countless major powers, exchanging vast resources in what became one of the most active trade movements in recent years.

Naturally, such a large-scale acquisition stirred many inquisitive eyes. A few opportunists even tried to interfere, but every problem was swiftly ”resolved” the moment Old Monster Xuan Pao appeared.

After all, a Perfect Earth Sovereign was a figure no one dared to provoke. In regions where a Heavenly Sovereign had not appeared, such a being was virtually invincible.

Thanks to that, the resource collection went far more smoothly than expected. Liu Xi privately felt relieved—if he had to personally handle such errands, it would have been unbearably tedious.

Of course, Zhao Yuanyuan herself was under enormous pressure. The total value of this transaction exceeded two hundred billion Sovereign Spiritual Liquid. If anything went wrong, the Pavilion—and the faction behind it—would face ruin.

She was gambling everything on Liu Xi’s credibility.

---

A month later, the day finally came. The gathered materials filled entire storerooms, and Zhao Yuanyuan, along with several of the Pavilion’s senior executives, waited anxiously outside Liu Xi’s chamber.

Inside, a transformation had taken place.

After a month of continuous refinement, the once pitch-black meteorite had lost its color, now radiating a chaotic hue—a darkness that shimmered faintly with multicolored brilliance. Dense Chaotic Qi spread outward, so heavy it bent space itself, as though another world had been superimposed upon this one.

”How unexpected…”

Liu Xi’s lips curved upward. What lay before him was no ordinary ore—it truly came from beyond the heavens. Once its outer disguise was stripped away, the Chaotic Qi within it became evident.

Chaos—the origin of all creation.

Even the Great Thousand Worlds had been birthed from primordial chaos. With chaos as the foundation, heaven and earth were formed, birthing endless life and brilliance.

Though this stone could not create a world, its potential was immeasurable. It was a perfect material for forging—perhaps even beyond the level of sacred treasures.

Without his Azure Flame, Liu Xi knew he would never have been able to peel off the stone’s disguise. Yet even now, he lacked the means to truly forge it. For now, its infinite possibilities would have to wait.

”It’s time to head out,” he murmured.

With a single breath, Liu Xi retracted the Azure Flame. The chaotic aura still filled the chamber, pressing down on space so heavily that an ordinary Earth Sovereign would have already collapsed under its weight.

He waved his hand, and light flashed across the Xumi Ring on his finger. The Chaos Stone drifted toward him—then vanished, sealed within the spatial ring.

But the moment it entered—

”Not good!”

His expression changed drastically. Liu Xi hurled the ring away.

BOOM!

A violent shockwave burst from the ring, tearing through the chamber. Space itself rippled and cracked as Spiritual Energy violently surged.

When the fluctuations finally settled, Liu Xi emerged again, his robes tattered and his face covered in soot, though his aura remained unscathed.

The culprit—the Chaos Stone—floated serenely in midair, emanating that same oppressive Chaotic Qi. The sheer pressure had shattered the space within the Xumi Ring, erasing everything stored inside.

”The Chaos Stone’s energy is too much for even a Xumi Ring to contain…”

Liu Xi’s expression twitched painfully. That ring wasn’t his most valuable one, but it still held quite a few billion in Sovereign Spiritual Liquid. Now, it was simply… gone.

Then suddenly—his gaze sharpened.

”Wait… something’s different.”

He stepped closer, feeling a subtle transformation. The stone was now exuding strands of Chaotic Spiritual Liquid, its glow faint yet profound. The Sovereign Spiritual Liquid he’d lost hadn’t vanished—it had been transmuted into something far higher in purity.

”Chaotic Spiritual Liquid…” Liu Xi whispered.

A daring thought crossed his mind. If it could absorb Spiritual Liquid and refine it into Chaos, then perhaps he could absorb it too.

Without hesitation, Liu Xi formed a hand seal. A mysterious gravitational pull emanated from his body, and the Chaos Stone slowly drifted toward him before sinking into his Sovereign Sea.

Instantly, a crushing weight bore down on him. It felt as if a mountain had dropped upon his soul, forcing his body to tremble.

Fortunately, Liu Xi possessed the true Dou Di Body. Were it anyone else, they would have been obliterated on the spot.

Then it came—a torrent of boundless Chaotic Spiritual Liquid, surging through his Sovereign Sea like a floodgate bursting open.

A magnificent, indescribable sensation spread through him. His entire being seemed to resonate with the pulse of heaven and earth.

”It feels like… I’m about to break through!”
