Flash Marriage: He is a Wife-pampering Addict

Chapter 1250: 1249 I love you, but you don’t love me.

An Lin’s emotions flickered in her eyes, and her facial expressions were incredibly expressive.

She looked at the handsome face of Qin Mu in front of her, her gaze inadvertently landing on his thin lips, suddenly recalling last night.

Initially, she worried about his fever. After he knocked the water glass she was holding and closed the door, she cleaned up the floor and then knocked on the door.

Qin Mu’s voice came through the door, laden with restrained emotions, “An Lin, you better go home quickly.”

“If you don’t open the door, I’m staying here all night without leaving.”

An Lin spoke while continuously knocking on the door.

Qin Mu was unfazed by her threat and did not open the door; An Lin stood at the door, truly not leaving.

One inside, one outside.

Separated by a door, it took less than a minute before An Lin heard Qin Mu’s pained voice, vaguely, unable to hear clearly, but she knew he sounded very distressed.

Her heart grew anxious, even though she had decided to forget him, she was still worried.

Bang bang bang!

This time, the knocking was louder, filled with anger. She shouted through the door, “Qin Mu, if you don’t open the door, I’m going to break it.”

She was truly, angry.

During this period, their relationship had been very stiff, even worse than strangers. An Lin thought that Qin Mu either hated her or feared that she’d take advantage of his illness to court him and then cling to him.

That’s why he didn’t open the door.

“Go back.”

Qin Mu, enduring the swirling heat wave in his mind, spoke in a low, cold voice.

“I’m not leaving.”

An Lin, infuriated, lifted her foot and kicked the door hard in front of her, saying fiercely, “Qin Mu, if you don’t want the door to break, then open it.”

Qin Mu either truly feared the door breaking or under the torment of the medication, found the voice outside the door irresistibly alluring; he inexplicably opened the door.

Seeing the door open, An Lin, fearful he might close it again, immediately pushed him and rushed inside.

Qin Mu felt somewhat dizzy, and his reactions were not as sharp as usual, his tall body staggered backwards by her push.

“Qin Mu, your face, it’s getting redder, you must be having a fever.”

An Lin turned back and saw not only was Qin Mu’s face red, but his eyes were also reddened. Without a second thought, she reached forward to feel his forehead.

“You’ve seen it; now you can leave.”

Qin Mu took a step back, avoiding her hand. Without the door between them, his voice sounded even deeper and more rugged.

An Lin frowned displeasedly, “Qin Mu, I’ll accompany you to the hospital.”

She stepped forward to pull Qin Mu, but as he dodged, he caught her wrist with his hand, sending a chill to his central nervous system, causing Qin Mu to tremble intensely.

It felt like an electric shock.

Yet, the sensation was so wondrous that he lost his reason and held onto her without letting go.

“Qin Mu.”

“Don’t call me; An Lin, just go.”

Qin Mu pushed and pulled, hurrying An Lin towards the door. However, An Lin quickly shut the door, and Qin Mu failed to stop in time.

…

“Qin Mu, I really don’t need you to take responsibility.” An Lin had slept all afternoon and eventually calmed down. She recalled last night’s events, deeply breathing in, trying to prevent herself from getting angry.

This was someone else’s home; she didn’t want to argue with Qin Mu.

“Let’s not talk about this, okay? I’ve already spoken to our parents. Tomorrow, we’ll return to A City, just to get a certificate, not organizing a banquet for now.”

Seeing An Lin silent for a long time, finally calming down, Qin Mu sighed in relief.

“Why are you so stubborn, Qin Mu? Last night was voluntary, we are both adults, and it’s a perfectly normal thing. Don’t make yourself out to be someone from ancient times; just because we held hands and went to bed together doesn’t mean we have to get married.”

As soon as An Lin spoke, Qin Mu’s expression suddenly darkened, and he said seriously: “An Lin, I don’t care how casual others are, but we can’t be. I can’t be irresponsible towards you.”

An Lin raised her hand to her forehead, “I don’t want to marry someone who doesn’t love me.”

“And marrying that person, you aren’t in love either, right?” Qin Mu didn’t understand why An Lin suddenly absolutely refused to be with him.

Didn’t she like him before?

An Lin forced a laugh, her eyes showing a trace of sorrow, “Qin Mu, you don’t understand. Marrying someone else, I don’t care if there’s no love, because he doesn’t love me, and I don’t love him. But you are different, I love you, and you don’t love me.”

“I will try to like you, love can develop over time, just like Mo Xiuchen and Ranran, they didn’t have feelings at the start either, but they fell in love later.”
