Flash Marriage: He is a Wife-pampering Addict

Chapter 1205: 1204 You’re the one who’s sick, psycho

Yi Pin Xuan Pavilion

Gu Kai brought Bai Yiyi to the second floor’s main hall and chose a seat by the window.

“Today, I met Zhi Wei.”

After the dishes were served, Gu Kai casually mentioned as he picked up a piece of meat and fed it into his mouth.

Bai Yiyi had just picked up her chopsticks when she heard him; she looked up, “What did she say to you?”

Watching Bai Yiyi’s clear eyes, a slight smile surfaced on Gu Kai’s lips as he teased, “She said, she blesses you and me.”

Bai Yiyi rolled her eyes, “You can still laugh after hurting a woman who loves you, men really have no conscience.”

She muttered as she picked up some vegetables and fed them into her mouth.

Gu Kai’s brows slightly furrowed, squinting at her, “What are you muttering about?”

Bai Yiyi ignored him and continued eating the stir-fried pork with celery in front of her, a dish she had always liked.

The aroma of celery was enough to make anyone’s mouth water.

Seeing that she was not speaking, Gu Kai collected his expression and said lightly, “You think my cold demeanor towards Fang Zhiwei is heartless. Bai Yiyi, have you ever thought that if I continue like this with her, she’ll never be able to move on?”

“Why did you provoke her in the first place?” Bai Yiyi snorted disdainfully, despising the excuses Gu Kai made for himself.

Gu Kai’s handsome face slightly darkened, “It wasn’t provocation, I was sincere, looking for a good woman to marry. Otherwise, do you think I am sick, dating her for so long?”

“You are sick, mentally sick.”

After saying that, Bai Yiyi chuckled proudly for scolding the man in front of her.

“I might be mentally sick, but still better than you.”

Gu Kai surprisingly didn’t get angry, a sly smile appearing on his handsome face.

“Better than me in what way?”

Bai Yiyi picked up the water glass in front of her and drank, her eyes still on Gu Kai.

Gu Kai proudly said, “Better than someone who dares not to fall in love.”

“Who says I’m afraid to fall in love?” Bai Yiyi’s face instantly turned stormy as she glared at him angrily.

Gu Kai smiled even more brightly, “Bai Yiyi, you are the one who’s sick, psychologically sick. How about I introduce you to a psychologist, you go for some treatment for a while?”

“You are the one who needs a psychologist.” Bai Yiyi picked up a bone and stuffed it into Gu Kai’s mouth, “It’s time to eat, stop talking nonsense.”

Gu Kai frowned, directly grabbed the bone with his hand, glanced at it, and then shook the bone in his hand, “Bai Yiyi, for the sake of this bone, I will definitely cure your psychological illness. If you don’t want others to know you are sick, I can treat you for free, under one condition.”

“…”

Bai Yiyi glared at him, silent.

She wasn’t sick; it was the man in front of her who was.

Gu Kai chewed off the meat from the bone and threw the bone away, saying proudly, “If I cure your illness, you’re no longer allowed to argue with me, no yelling or screaming at me. You should be gentle and tender, like how you treat Ah Jin.”

Bai Yiyi looked at him disdainfully, “You being so proactive today in helping me, is it to retract the condition you agreed to yesterday?”

“It’s not retracting, it’s exchanging conditions, you threatened me with that unfair treaty yesterday, today, I propose the same condition, you don’t lose out at all.”

“I didn’t ask for your help.”

Bai Yiyi gave a cold laugh.

Gu Kai suddenly leaned forward, his arms propping on the table, “Bai Yiyi, are you saying that you’d rather be taken advantage of by that old lecher Qian Songnan than agree to my terms?”

“Why would I let him take advantage of me? I have no intention of ever seeing him again.”

She had made up her mind, these past few days she would avoid Qian Songnan as much as possible, or stay with Wen Jin, never facing Qian Songnan alone.

No matter how lascivious Qian Songnan was, he surely wouldn’t dare to do anything inappropriate in front of Wen Jin.

“Naive!”

Gu Kai scoffed coldly.

The ringtone of the mobile phone sounded, and he curved the corners of his mouth into a mocking smile, took out his phone, squinted his eyes when he saw the caller ID, and pressed the answer button, “Hello!”

“I’m going to the restroom.”

Bai Yiyi lowered her voice and said, then stood up and left for the restroom.

Stepping out of the cubicle, Bai Yiyi coincidentally bumped into Fang Zhiwei.

She was standing in front of the mirror touching up her makeup. Seeing her in the mirror, surprise flashed in Fang Zhiwei’s eyes. She turned her head and called out with a smile, “Yiyi, what are you doing here?”

Bai Yiyi responded with a smile, walked over, and while washing her hands, replied, “I came here to eat, Sister Wei, are you here to dine with friends too?”

Fang Zhiwei’s smile stiffened slightly, “I’m here for a blind date.”

“A blind date?”

Bai Yiyi looked at her in surprise.

Just yesterday, Fang Zhiwei was sending a love dinner to Gu Kai, and today she was here for a blind date; she really did what she said. Claiming to forget Gu Kai, she immediately accepted a blind date.

“Which floor are you on? I didn’t see you just now.”

“The second floor, ah, I haven’t gone yet. I’m touching up my makeup first; I don’t want to give a rude impression,” Fang Zhiwei joked self-deprecatingly and then asked, “Yiyi, who are you dining with, Ah Kai?”

Bai Yiyi’s eyes flickered, “Um, with him.”

What a coincidence, Bai Yiyi thought to herself, Gu Kai, that bastard, made her play the bad person once and intended to make her do it a second time.

Fang Zhiwei lowered her eyes, her long eyelashes concealing the fleeting sadness in her eyes. When she looked up again, she had regained her bright smile, “Yiyi, then I’ll go first.”

She pursed her lips and turned to leave the restroom.

Bai Yiyi stood in front of the mirror, looking at her reflection: Bai Yiyi, you really shouldn’t help Gu Kai hurt Zhi Wei.

But another voice argued: Bai Yiyi, you are helping Zhi Wei. Only by giving up on Gu Kai can she find another happiness.

Returning to the main hall, Bai Yiyi saw Fang Zhiwei, two seats away from their table.

Unsure of what Gu Kai would think seeing Fang Zhiwei on a blind date, Bai Yiyi subconsciously glanced in Gu Kai’s direction, only to see him putting away his phone and picking up his chopsticks to eat, seemingly not noticing Fang Zhiwei at all.

She blinked and chuckled inwardly, walked over, and sat down.

The next second, Bai Yiyi knew that Gu Kai was pretending not to see Fang Zhiwei; he had indeed seen her because as soon as she sat down, he picked up some food and placed it on the plate in front of her, teasingly saying, “Eat more, you are so thin, I wonder how many months it will take for you to gain some weight.”

Bai Yiyi frowned, her eyes flickering towards the neighboring space because her position and Zhi Wei’s were almost diagonally opposite, giving her a clear view of Zhi Wei looking in their direction.

She cursed silently in her heart and asked in a lowered voice, “You didn’t know beforehand that Sister Wei was coming here for a blind date, and deliberately brought me here for a meal, did you?”

Gu Kai’s smile deepened, watching Bai Yiyi’s questioning gaze. He suddenly reached out his hand from across the table, and while she was intently staring at him, his large hand touched her head, affectionately ruffled her hair, and then drew back.
