Flash Marriage: He is a Wife-pampering Addict

Chapter 1251: 1250 Mo Xiuchen teaches you what to do

An Lin’s voice carried a hint of bitterness, self-mockery, and frustration at how she had messed things up.

Qin Mu pursed his thin lips, whispered softly, “An Lin, what’s done is done, we need to face it with optimism and not always assume the worst. Trust me, I will make myself fall for you.”

“When Ah Kai and Fang Zhiwei were dating, he tried hard to fall in love with her, but in the end, they still broke up.”

An Lin suddenly laughed, as if the person she had just been was nothing but an illusion, now back to her usual self.

But the discerning eye would notice that her smile did not reach her eyes.

Her face was smiling, but her heart was still filled with sadness.

She was afraid that her relationship with Qin Mu would end up like Fang Zhiwei’s and Gu Kai’s. If tragedy was the inevitable outcome, she’d rather not start at all.

Confessing her feelings in the first place was really a moment of madness.

Perhaps subconsciously, she feared Qin Mu would be in pain being with her.

Having to face a woman he didn’t love every day, yet unable to act on his desires because of responsibility, forced to pretend he liked her and treat her well.

That must be a very tiring thing to do.

“I am not Ah Kai, and you are not Fang Zhiwei,” Qin Mu’s brows furrowed slightly, his tone calm and resolute.

An Lin was slightly startled, her smile disappearing into his earnest gaze.

“Ah Mu, don’t be so certain. The greater the hope, the greater the… mmm…”

An Lin’s words were abruptly cut off.

Qin Mu suddenly leaned in, his large hand cupped her head, his kiss dominating her lips.

Her mind went ‘boom’.

Consciousness went blank, the only thing registering in her brain was the electrifying tingling, last night’s images flooding her mind again with his kiss.

An Lin’s body stiffened, her eyes wide open staring at the cold handsome face before her, yet completely forgetting to push him away.

The kiss did not last long.

Qin Mu released her lips, his hands with distinct joints still firmly cupping her head, locking her gaze with an utterly domineering look as he said word by word: “I’ve heard people say that feelings can be cultivated, love can be made. An Lin, even if you don’t believe me, you should believe in yourself.”

An Lin blinked.

Her confused mind couldn’t function properly.

She didn’t understand what he meant.

Seeing her bewildered eyes and blushing cheeks as red as tomatoes, Qin Mu’s lips curled slightly, his gaze intentionally moved down to her chest area, from his angle he had quite the view of her charms.

When his eyes touched upon the kiss marks on her chest skin, a tinge of guilt flashed through him, not just her neck, her chest, in fact, there were many marks on her body.

They were his doing last night.

An Lin’s thoughts gradually gathered back, and belatedly realized Qin Mu was staring at a certain part of her. Her already flushed face instantly became hot and fiery.

Subconsciously, her hands moved to cover her chest.

Qin Mu shifted his gaze back to her eyes, his disturbing male scent enveloped her nostrils, “Ah Kai and Ah Jin are downstairs, will I wait for you to go down together, or…?”

“You go down first.”

An Lin reacted very quickly this time.

Without thinking, she told him to go ahead.

Qin Mu’s lips curved, he straightened up, took another glance at her, then turned and left the room.

As the door closed behind him, An Lin’s hands that had covered the scenery at her chest moved to her heart, where it was beating fiercely.

If last night’s entanglement happened under the influence of a drug, then just now, Qin Mu was sober. And yet, he forcefully kissed her.

Her lightly pursed lips still bore his taste.

And his words, what did they mean?

Feelings can be nurtured, love can be made.

How could these words have come from Qin Mu, the man she knew? Had she not heard them herself, An Lin wouldn’t have believed it.

Thinking back, when he said those words just now, he was as nonchalant and calm as if he was commenting on how fine today’s weather was.

What she despised most about herself was that after being kissed like that by Qin Mu, she actually forgot what she had to say. She let herself get swept up in his thoughts and even allowed him to go downstairs first, with the plan for her to follow later.

Wasn’t that indirectly agreeing to his proposal?

An Lin slapped herself heavily on the forehead, chastising her own stupidity for losing her senses over a single kiss.

It was the supreme folly of being sold and even helping to count the money.

Downstairs in the living room, Mo Xiuchen, Gu Kai, and Wen Jin were busying themselves with the little treasures. Seeing Qin Mu coming down, Mo Xiuchen looked up at him and asked indifferently, “How did it go, any effect?”

“Effect, Mo Xiuchen, shouldn’t you be asking if Ah Mu managed to persuade An Lin?”

Gu Kai lifted Tongtong onto his lap, interjecting with a mischievous laugh.

Qin Mu’s gaze swept over Mo Xiuchen without any change of expression, “An Lin will come down in a bit.”

“Where are Ranran and Yiyi, how come I don’t see them? Are they still upstairs with An Lin?”

Wen Jin’s eyes twinkled as she asked with a smile.

Qin Mu walked over and sat down on the couch, took a sip of water from a cup before saying, “They’re upstairs waiting for An Lin, they’ll come down together.”

Mo Xiuchen studied Qin Mu for a few seconds, a hint of amusement surfacing in his deep and penetrating eyes, “Ah Mu, you should use the method I taught you more often. I believe that as long as you don’t dislike An Lin, you’ll slowly start to like her.”

“What method?”

Gu Kai asked curiously.

He always felt that Mo Xiuchen’s words had a deeper meaning.

Mo Xiuchen’s lips curled into a smile but he did not answer.

Gu Kai turned to ask Qin Mu, “Ah Mu, what great method did Mo Xiuchen teach you? Share it with us.”

“Did you use it on Bai Yiyi?” Instead of answering, Qin Mu questioned back.

Upon hearing this, Gu Kai clicked his tongue, “An Lin has liked you for so many years, how could the method taught by Mo Xiuchen suit me? Bai Yiyi doesn’t like me.”

“So that means you like her?”

Wen Jin quickly chimed in, causing both Mo Xiuchen and Qin Mu to laugh.

Gu Kai’s eyes flickered before he retorted, “How is that possible? What I mean is, I don’t need Ah Mu’s method.”

“No need to explain, explanations are just cover-ups. Ah Kai, Bai Yiyi’s mom went on a trip and I heard she entrusted both Bai Yiyi and Tongtong to you. You’d better take good care of them. Don’t let their mom come back and find her daughter has been starved by you.”

As Mo Xiuchen finished speaking, footsteps were heard from the second-floor staircase, accompanied by Wen Ran’s voice.

His lips curved in a smile, his gaze immediately drawn to the sound as he looked up the stairs.

Gu Kai shot him a glance, then looked down and whispered something to Tongtong. Tongtong slid off his lap and dashed toward the staircase.

Wen Ran, Bai Yiyi, and An Lin descended from the second floor, with Wen Ran leading the way, An Lin in the middle, and Bai Yiyi at the back.

In the living room downstairs, the men’s gazes turned towards them in unison. However, each man’s focus was different.
