Flash Marriage: He is a Wife-pampering Addict

Chapter 1223: 1222 A mess

The scene looked spectacular.

Yiyi hurried over and took Tongtong from Wen Ran’s arms. Tongtong had been woken up by her younger siblings crying, her little face looking displeased.

“Mommy.”

When Yiyi took her in her arms, she cried out in grievance, then drooped her head and leaned into her arms, closing her eyes again.

“Tongtong, don’t sleep, let daddy hold you.”

Seeing that Tongtong still wanted to sleep, Gu Kai immediately stepped forward and reached out to hold her.

Tongtong hadn’t seen him just now; upon hearing his voice, she opened her eyes that she had just closed, blinked a few times, and upon seeing the charming smile of Gu Kai in front of her, the sleepiness in her eyes gradually dissipated, her little mouth curved into a smile, beaming at him: “Daddy.”

“Come, daddy will hold you.”

Gu Kai’s smile deepened, he picked up Tongtong, walked to the sofa, sat down, and let her sit on his lap.

“Tongtong, did you miss daddy?”

“I did.”

Tongtong looked at Gu Kai with joy, seemingly all traces of sleepiness gone; in a matter of seconds, she seemed like a completely different person.

Yiyi watched the interaction between Tongtong and Gu Kai, feeling both warmed and envious.

“Yiyi, come sit over here.”

Wen Ran pulled Yiyi over to the sofa, and immediately Tongtong turned her head and reached out to Yiyi.

Yiyi smiled and grabbed Tongtong’s hand, sitting down next to Gu Kai.

“Tongtong and Momo were woken up by Ziyi and Xin Xin crying. Seeing them cry, Momo also started crying, but Tongtong was good, she didn’t cry.”

Yiyi chuckled softly, “Tongtong is older than Momo and the others, of course, she shouldn’t cry along with them.”

“Yes, Tongtong did great today, she’s grown up, and shouldn’t cry when she wakes up, okay?”

Gu Kai also smiled and praised Tongtong. Tongtong, delighted by the praise, nodded vigorously, “Tongtong, good girl, no crying.”

“Pfft, Tongtong, good girl, no crying.”

Wen Ran couldn’t help but laugh out loud.

Yiyi also laughed amusingly, and to the nanny beside her, she said, “Please hold Xin Xin for me.”

Dinner was particularly lively. Although the nanny was helping them, taking care of four little treasures during the meal was still a troublesome task.

Fortunately, Tongtong didn’t need to be fed; she held a spoon and ate her meal neatly on her own.

Seeing Tongtong eating with a spoon, the other three little ones also wanted to eat by themselves.

“Mo Xiuchen, stop feeding them, let them eat by themselves. Ziyi, do you want to use chopsticks?”

“Chopsticks.”

Ziyi stretched out his little hand, wanting to use chopsticks to eat.

Wen Ran handed him the chopsticks; he grabbed them, and beside him, Mo Xiuchen picked up a pair of chopsticks, softly saying, “Ziyi, follow daddy, hold the chopsticks like this.”

“Ziyi, Uncle will teach you how to pick up food.” Gu Kai, who was sitting opposite Ziyi, noticed his interest in using chopsticks and got excited.

After speaking, he even demonstrated by picking up a peanut and feeding it into his mouth. Yiyi, watching Gu Kai’s actions, amusingly asked, “Are you really Ziyi’s uncle?”

“Of course, our Ziyi is smart; he’ll definitely learn to pick up peanuts.”

Gu Kai raised his eyebrows proudly. Seeing Gu Kai feed the peanut into his mouth, Ziyi blinked, eager to try it himself.

Mo Xiuchen chuckled lightly and moved the dish of peanuts in front of him, “Ziyi, you try some.”

“Peanuts.”

Tongtong looked up at the peanuts Gu Kai was eating in his mouth, also wanting some.

“Tongtong, we’re not eating that, here, eat this.”

Ziyi grabbed the chopsticks and reached for the dish of peanuts, causing everyone at the table to burst into laughter; he couldn’t pick up any peanuts at all.

“Ziyi, don’t mimic that, pick up the porridge in your bowl.”

Wen Ran tried to push the dish away so Ziyi would eat the porridge, knowing he couldn’t eat the peanuts anyway.

Unexpectedly, although Ziyi couldn’t pick up the peanuts, he was very stubborn. He protested against Wen Ran taking away the peanuts, threw down his chopsticks, and tried to grab them with his hands.

“Ziyi, you can’t eat peanuts, you don’t have strong enough teeth yet.”

Seeing this, Wen Ran chuckled and reached out to grab Ziyi’s hand. Ziyi grabbed a handful, but actually didn’t get many peanuts. Hearing mom say he couldn’t eat them, he didn’t feed himself, but instead reached out to feed Wen Ran.

“Wow, Ranran, Ziyi even knows how to feed you now, you haven’t raised your son in vain.” Bai Yiyi teased with a smile, seeing Ziyi grabbing peanuts to feed Wen Ran, getting praised for it. Xin Xin and Momo, sitting nearby, followed suit, throwing their spoons aside, grabbing the porridge with their hands, one feeding Wen Ran and the other feeding Mo Xiuchen.

“Mommy, Tongtong feeds.”

Seeing the three of them using their hands to grab the food, Tongtong, feeling as the older sister, couldn’t lose to them. She immediately threw her chopsticks and grabbed a piece of spare ribs in front of her, reaching out to feed Bai Yiyi.

The dining table quickly became chaotic.

“Oh my, Ranran, your three kids, how do they eat every day?” Bai Yiyi asked with a laugh.

Wen Ran looked at the little ones crudely using their hands and competing with each other, delighted beyond words; she wanted to stop them but swallowed her words back.

“Typically, it’s not like this, they are usually more civilized.”

Occasionally, they would use their hands.

However, that was very rare; to prevent them from using their hands, Wen Ran would ask Nanny Zhang to cool down the food until it was no longer hot before starting to eat.

Also, before every meal, she would make the three little ones wash their hands thoroughly.

“It’s okay occasionally, but it can’t be like this every day. For one, it’s too unsanitary, and secondly, it develops a habit, and later they will not want to use spoons and chopsticks anymore.”

As the head of the household, Mo Xiuchen, an insightful and wise business magnate as President Mo, seeing his three children eating so wildly, he felt both helpless and speechless.

**

After dinner, Tongtong did not want to go home. Gu Kai and Bai Yiyi stayed and played at Wen Ran’s home.

Because the four little ones had taken a nap in the afternoon, they played especially vigorously until nine-thirty, when Bai Yiyi finally coaxed Tongtong into being willing to go home.

“Let me carry Tongtong, you go rest, no need to see us inside.”

Arriving at the front door, Bai Yiyi reached out to take Tongtong from Gu Kai’s arms.

Gu Kai avoided her extended hand, speaking gently, “Tongtong is heavy, I’ll carry her inside.”

Bai Yiyi blinked, and Gu Kai had already passed her, entering the villa.

He went inside, upstairs, carrying Tongtong back to her children’s room. Gu Kai asked Bai Yiyi to find pajamas for Tongtong, while he carried Tongtong into the bathroom to draw a bath.

Having drawn the bath, Gu Kai asked Bai Yiyi to accompany Tongtong in her bath, while he himself sat on the edge of Tongtong’s bed, flipping through her fairy tale books.

“Why haven’t you gone back yet?”

After Bai Yiyi bathed Tongtong and carried her out, seeing Gu Kai sitting on the bed edge reading fairy tales, a hint of surprise flashed in her eyes as she asked in confusion.

Gu Kai raised his eyes, looking at Tongtong, ignoring Bai Yiyi’s words, and softly asked, “Tongtong, tonight daddy will tell you a story, do you want to listen?”
