Abandoned Woman Busy Farming

Chapter 2915: Chapter 2916: Not the First Time She Bit the Hand That Fed Her

Ao Song chuckled wickedly, ”The number one Yin Yang Master in Fusang, must the Yin Yang Techniques be retained by a virgin?”

Bai Ruozhu pinched her, ”You’re so concerned, are you afraid he won’t be able to marry?”

She grinned mischievously, ”Oh, Ao Song, your mind is so complicated.”

Astrologer had a black line across his forehead, his ears slightly red, ”Enough, both of you!”

Ao Song glared at Bai Ruozhu, who giggled sneakily, then decided to stop and listen to Zhao Shu.

”Stand up and speak first.” Astrologer’s expression softened slightly, seeing Zhao Shu’s face covered in blood, he couldn’t bear it and said to Bai Ruozhu, ”Won’t you give him some medicine?”

”He won’t die.” Bai Ruozhu smiled even more, this guy still worries about his disciple.

Despite saying that, she still tossed the medicine bottle to Astrologer.

Astrologer opened it, sprinkled some drug powder on Zhao Shu’s head, and the blood stopped immediately.

”Go ahead, what actually happened?” Astrologer asked.

Zhao Shu showed a look of shame, ”I knew Kuai Xian was behaving badly, but remembering our childhood friendship, I wanted to see if I could rescue her, but when I sneaked in, she was already...”

He paused, it seemed difficult for him to speak, but under Astrologer’s urging look, he continued.

”She was given an aphrodisiac and violated by three men. I was furious and used Yin Yang Techniques to rescue her, but when she woke up, she seemed to not remember the previous events, possibly due to the effects of the drug. She asked if I helped her neutralize the aphrodisiac. I feared she couldn’t handle the shock, so I hesitated on how to tell her. She misunderstood, thinking I was embarrassed to say, and believed it was me who saved her, and then had relations with her.”

”Three men?” Ao Song’s mouth dropped open, ”It’s so unbearable, does she have no impression of it at all?”

”No, she is convinced it was me, insisting I take her with me. I dared not tell her the truth and felt sympathy for her plight, so could only bring her to seek Master’s help.” Zhao Shu sighed, ”I know I shouldn’t soften my heart and involve myself in such matters, nor should I trouble Master, but I’ve done all I can. If it means giving up learning Yin Yang Techniques for her, I can’t do it. I’m not that selfless and completely without self.”

”So she says you are irresponsible, and you don’t refute?” Ao Song covered her forehead, ”You might as well let her know the truth; reality is harsh but must be faced, otherwise you’ll give up your dreams for her.”

Zhao Shu shook his head, his wounds on the forehead tugging, causing him to inhale in pain.

”I’m no saint, I can’t do it.”

”This girl’s mind is not right, we are following the Emperor on inspection, it’s impossible to bring along someone like her.” Astrologer said.

Zhao Shu also became distressed, ”Otherwise, I might help her find a place to work, at least she won’t starve.”

Bai Ruozhu glanced at the unconscious Kuai Xian, she wasn’t pretending.

Previously violated, then too angry, it was due to unstable Qi, not pretending.

But she still wouldn’t sympathize with this girl, if Wei Ba wasn’t quick-witted, he’d already be a corpse under the cliff, who would sympathize with Wei Ba?

Some might say she almost harmed Wei Ba, but wasn’t he spared? And she learned a lesson herself, being violated and all, can’t she be given a chance to turn over a new leaf?

The issue is she never pursued Kuai Xian, didn’t even touch, already very merciful.

Must Kuai Xian’s own faults mean she has to selflessly take care of her?

”Seems the Guest House is short of staff, the maids and servants here are from officials’ families, they all will leave afterward. But the Guest House has daily tasks like cleaning and watering, why don’t you ask about it for her.” Bai Ruozhu spoke, not helping Kuai Xian, but helping Zhao Shu.

Consider it compensation for previously misunderstanding Zhao Shu as a scoundrel.

Zhao Shu did quite well, even under those circumstances, still cared for Kuai Xian’s feelings, already nothing short of benevolent towards her.

”Thank you, Master Bai.” Zhao Shu said happily.

Then Zhao Shu supported Kuai Xian outside, waited for her to wake up, and went to find the person in charge of the Guest House.

The other party knew Zhao Shu was Astrologer’s disciple and agreed immediately, although initially the Guest House wanted only male hires, the daily cleaning doesn’t need to be too meticulous, mostly physical labor.

Even so, Kuai Xian wasn’t content, seeing Zhao Shu about to leave, she glared at him and said, ”You can’t take responsibility, so why take my body? Zhao Shu, you’re not human, no wonder you could pretend for so many years!”

Zhao Shu felt helpless, now thinking Ao Song was right, should have let Kuai Xian know the truth, otherwise she harbors resentment, and won’t lead a peaceful life.

”When I arrived, you had already been...” he couldn’t bear to say too directly, ”I did save you, but I really didn’t touch you, just feared you couldn’t handle the shock, that’s why I didn’t say.”

”Bull! You’re lying! You’re just shirking responsibility.” Kuai Xian yelled.

The manager hasn’t gone far, Zhao Shu feared Kuai Xian would alarm him, causing the hard-arranged job to fall through. He quickly pulled Kuai Xian into his room, shut the door to persuade her properly.

”I’m not lying, I can swear to heaven, if I did take advantage of you, I die a miserable death.” Zhao Shu said hurriedly.

”No, it’s impossible.” Kuai Xian was shocked, suddenly lunged at Zhao Shu, pressed her lips forcefully against his.

Zhao Shu quickly pushed away, wiped his lips vigorously, ”What are you doing?”

”Are you disgusted with me?” Kuai Xian sneered, grabbing her neckline, clothes dropped away, the undergarment opened, revealing half of her snow-white shoulder.

”Quickly put your clothes back on, behaving like this will make your parents sad.” Zhao Shu panicked a bit, but his face turned cold. Kuai Xian like this made him very disgusted.

Kuai Xian sneered coldly, ”I’ll scream now, saying you want to harm me, do you think people will believe it? Just now you pulled me in here.”

”You...” Zhao Shu’s face reddened with anger, ”Kuai Xian, this is repaying kindness with hatred. If I hadn’t rescued you, you’d still be tormented by the brothel’s men.”

”Ha ha, rescue me?” Kuai Xian’s face twisted, ”Why didn’t you rescue me earlier? Why wait until they violated me to come? Why not marry me since you rescued me, what did you actually rescue me from?”

”They?” Zhao Shu caught this keyword, earlier he considered Kuai Xian’s feelings didn’t mention three men, just said people, never specified how many, yet Kuai Xian referred to them as ”they”!

Kuai Xian didn’t actually forget, she’s been remembering all along, intentionally blaming Zhao Shu.

Zhao Shu was furious, this is what happens when you save someone with good intentions; they bully you for being soft-hearted, try to ruin your future, anyone would be driven mad.

”Kuai Xian, well done, I forgot this isn’t the first time you’ve repaid kindness with betrayal. Funny how I actually felt sorry for you, I really deserve it.”
