Abandoned Woman Busy Farming

Chapter 2269: Chapter 2268: This Debt Must Be Settled

Pu Zhu came back to his senses and quickly said to everyone, ”Everyone, disperse now. At this moment, Master Pudeng will handle it.”

The other monks dispersed, and Pu Zhu said to Bai Ruozhu, ”Amitabha, thank you Bai benefactor for your magnanimity.”

Bai Ruozhu said coldly, ”It’s not about my magnanimity, it’s that I may not be able to do anything, and besides, I also need something from Master Pudeng.”

”This monk thanks Bai benefactor on behalf of the monks in the temple. If you hadn’t discovered it in time, the consequences would have been unimaginable.” Pu Zhu said, bowing slightly.

”Isn’t Master Pudeng supposed to be omnipresent? How could he not have discovered it?” Bai Ruozhu asked.

Pu Zhu coughed twice, ”My junior brother doesn’t like watching others, fearing the impression of invading privacy, especially since the other party is a woman, it’s inappropriate to keep watching her all the time.”

Jianqi beside them felt a bit embarrassed; did that mean he had been invading privacy, secretly watching a woman?

Bai Ruozhu didn’t say much to Pu Zhu, she still had to go back to take care of Jiang Yichun.

Unexpectedly, when she returned to the room, she found the room in disarray, the tables and chairs overturned on the ground, Jiang Yichun’s sleeve was slightly torn, with bloodstains on it.

”Achun, what happened?” Bai Ruozhu hurriedly asked.

”There was a mechanical puppet that came to attack me, and since I couldn’t see, I was slightly scratched, but it’s nothing serious.” Jiang Yichun said with a wry smile, it’s just inconvenient not being able to see.

Bai Ruozhu jumped up, initially, she didn’t want to argue with Zhu Ning, partly because she was a Jiuli, and partly because Master Pudeng was protecting her, plus she hadn’t caused substantial harm to them, but she didn’t expect the woman to sneak attack Achun, even injuring him.

This matter couldn’t be let go easily!

Bai Ruozhu suppressed her anger and got medicine to bandage Achun up, luckily the wound wasn’t deep, it was just injured by the mechanical beast, not poisoned.

Jiang Yichun saw she was angry and quickly consoled, ”It’s no big deal, your curse hasn’t been lifted yet, don’t start a conflict with Master Pudeng.

”Even if Buddha is merciful, there should be a discernment of justice, right? Zhu Ning didn’t offend you, but now she has hurt you, I must settle this with her! You stay in the room and heal well, I’ll be back soon, don’t worry, I won’t act impulsively.” Bai Ruozhu said and dashed out of the room.

Jianqi, Yizi, Fo Lanying, and Yuan Licheng were already waiting outside.

”Ruozhu, just now, we are sorry, we walked away for a moment, couldn’t help Jiang Yichun.” Fo Lanying said somewhat ashamed.

”This isn’t your fault, I’m going to settle accounts with Suning.” Bai Ruozhu patted her shoulder indicating it’s okay.

”We’ll go with you,” Yuan Licheng said, intentionally stealing a glance at Jianqi, adding, ”Yizi and I have a newly researched joint array, it’s activated particularly quickly, if a fight breaks out, we can help you a bit.”

Fo Lanying inwardly gave a thumbs up, Yuan Licheng was getting more sensible, it’s a pity she looked at Jianqi, Jianqi just stood there with a cold face, showing no emotion.

Bai Ruozhu nodded, ”But everyone, stay calm, I have just witnessed Master Pudeng’s prowess, we must not easily start a conflict with him.”

Jianqi, recalling that Buddha’s Hand that appeared out of nowhere, hastily nodded, ”Yes, Master.”

Bai Ruozhu was filled with anger inside, not caring about Jianqi’s feelings for Yizi, only thinking about how to vent this anger for Achun.

A part of her was mad because Achun’s eyes were injured, but ultimately it wasn’t their fault, Master Pudeng didn’t intentionally attack Achun, it’s just that he couldn’t watch randomly while chanting scriptures.

This anger had no outlet, but now that Zhu Ning ordered the mechanical puppet to attack Achun, it was clearly bullying him while he was injured, who else would be the target of her anger if not Zhu Ning?

As for Master Pudeng, doesn’t he also need to be reasonable to help Zhu Ning?

Bai Ruozhu headed straight for the front hall, directly seeking Master Pudeng, who was still sitting on the meditation cushion, eyes closed as if he were sleeping.

”Bai Ruozhu pays respect to Master Pudeng.” Bai Ruozhu bowed, then said, ”Master, you protected the child in Zhu Ning’s belly, I have no objection, but she just took advantage of the chaos to have a mechanical puppet attack my husband, Achun’s eyes can’t see but have been injured by the mechanical puppet. She was caught poisoning the soup, you protected her, I followed your arrangements, but how will you settle the matter of her sneak attacking Achun? Even if you want to save her, shouldn’t there be discernment of right and wrong?”

Master Pudeng sighed deeply, and tiredly said, ”This monk has done my best, indeed Zhu benefactor has done many unjust deeds, but the child in her womb is our temple’s commitment to a benefactor, if you must punish Zhu Ning, this monk has no intention to intervene, but please do not harm the child in her womb.”

”So it means neither to kill nor to beat?” Fo Lanying asked displeased.

”Amitabha, this monk has cast a spell to protect the child in her womb. Bai benefactor can mildly punish, but where leniency can be shown, let it be shown.” Pu Deng said.

”Alright.” Bai Ruozhu threw down a sentence and went to the ear room next to the Buddha Hall, sure enough, Zhu Ning was locked inside.

At this moment, Zhu Ning shouldn’t be called Zhu Ning, but Pig Head, she was beaten by Master Pudeng until she swelled even more, not just her face but her head was swollen too, looking very miserable.

Fortunately, she was not visibly pregnant, otherwise, Bai Ruozhu might find it hard to lay hands on her.

”What, what are you doing? I’m a Jiuli, my parents won’t let you off!” Zhu Ning said with difficulty.

Bai Ruozhu scoffed, ”Now you think of your parents, when you sided with You Meng, attacking people from Wei Hall, did you think about your parents’ future in the Jiuli Clan?”

”That was because you caused us to split up, how could I have been captured by Mother-in-law and defiled by You Meng if not?” Zhu Ning said and started crying in grievance.

Even Yizi, who was known for being good-tempered, couldn’t help but curse, ”How shameless are you? That day you incited disputes and left on your own when it didn’t work, you brought this upon yourself and still have the face to blame others?”

”Enough talk, without some punishment, she’ll really think someone’s backing her up.” Bai Ruozhu said, stepping towards Zhu Ning.

”What are you going to do? Master Pudeng won’t let you off if you hurt me!” Zhu Ning screamed.

Bai Ruozhu sneered, showing a cold smile, ”Since you dared to let the mechanical puppet hurt Achun’s arm, I won’t let your arm off either.

”Get away, even as a ghost, I won’t forgive you!” Zhu Ning screamed in terror, but the sound tugged at her swollen face, causing stabs of pain and making her draw deep breaths.

Bai Ruozhu reached her, suddenly grabbing one of her arms.

”Was it this hand that you used to order the puppet to do bad things?” Bai Ruozhu asked, ”Or was it with your mouth?”
