The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 196: Chapter 196: If You’re Blocking the Way, Let’s Fight_1

Carson Flores was in no hurry, calmly smoking his cigarette. ”It seems your backup hasn’t fallen yet. You’re still not convinced, are you? Well then, let’s wait for your support to arrive, and we can settle everything together then.”

Conor Jimenez looked at the serene Carson Flores and felt inexplicably nervous.

This guy seems pretty confident.

Because he can fight?

Conor Jimenez hesitated for a moment and then made up his mind. No matter how good at fighting, could he beat Edgar Harrison?

Behind Edgar Harrison stood the entire Harrison Family. Should he be afraid of some guy from the small place of Polgel?

It didn’t seem like Polgel had any remarkable Cultivator Families.

”Fine, wait then. I really want to see how capable you are!”

The reinforcements Conor Jimenez had called arrived quickly. In less than twenty minutes, footsteps could be heard at the entrance, and three men walked in.

Carson Flores glanced at them, his eyes showing a bit more interest.

All three were trained fighters, especially the middle-aged man in his forties leading them, who moved with a steady step and seemed like a true master.

A look of joy appeared on Conor Jimenez’s face, and he quickly went to greet him. ”Brother Brendan!”

Brother Brendan’s gaze fell on Carson Flores, sizing him up, but he didn’t rush to make a move. Instead, he stared at Conor Jimenez. ”What happened?”

Conor Jimenez explained in a quiet voice, ”Brother Brendan, the Hall also has a stake in our business, this isn’t just my own matter...”

”Enough, no need to explain.”

Brother Brendan waved his hand, walked up to Carson Flores, pulled over a chair, and sat down with a cold stare. ”You’re from Polgel?”

Carson Flores nodded. ”Yes, came to resolve a small dispute.”

Brother Brendan sneered, ”Looks like you can fight pretty well.”

Carson Flores smiled casually. ”You three seem strong too, but you’re not my match. If your Hall places great value on Conor Jimenez and really wants to protect him, then I suggest you call your Hall Master now to speak with me.”

Brother Brendan sneered, ”Looks like brother is a dragon that has crossed the river, huh?”

Carson Flores smiled. ”Saying that is meaningless. I’m here just to resolve trouble. If you’re going to stand in my way, then let’s fight. If you win, I’ll naturally turn around and leave.”

Brother Brendan extended his hand. ”My name is Brendan Stein.”

Carson Flores glanced at Brendan Stein and smiled as he extended his hand. ”Carson Flores.”

Their hands had just touched in mid-air when Brendan Stein’s hand instantly tensed like a bowstring, his Inner Qi gathering in his grip as if it were iron pincers clamping down on Carson Flores’s hand.

Carson Flores’s smile remained unchanged as he exerted strength in his hand, and Brendan Stein’s complexion suddenly turned as red as blood, the veins in his arm bulging out, his expression contorted.

”Bang!”

The chair Brendan Stein was sitting on couldn’t take the load and directly collapsed, and Brendan Stein’s body suddenly sank, ending up sitting directly on the wooden remains of the broken chair.

Carson Flores withdrew his hand with a smile. ”These days, chairs are just too shoddily made.”

Brendan Stein’s face turned red with embarrassment. It wasn’t the chair’s shoddy craftsmanship, but him being unable to withstand Carson Flores’s pressure, inadvertently distributing it into the chair, causing it to fall apart.

Carson Flores was giving him a way to save face.

Conor Jimenez actually thought it was a problem with the chair and hurriedly brought another stool from the side. ”Brother Brendan, my mistake, please sit on this one...”

Brendan Stein tried his best, while Carson Flores was nonchalant, not even a change in complexion. Though Conor Jimenez couldn’t discern the exact difference, Brendan Stein knew very clearly that he was no match for Carson Flores.

Cultivators aren’t ordinary people; in a fight, they could make up for a not-so-great difference with skill, but such an immense gap between Brendan Stein and Carson Flores certainly couldn’t be bridged by any level of combat experience. If it came to a serious fight, Carson Flores might be able to kill him with one punch.

With such formidable strength, even if the Hall Master came, he might not fare any better!

This is a true powerhouse of a dragon!

Brendan Stein suddenly felt relieved that he had been worried upon hearing Carson Flores had knocked down a group of men in eight seconds, which is why he had chosen the more amiable handshake method to test the other man. Otherwise, had he made a move directly, he might have been lying on the ground right now.

Brendan Stein climbed up from the ground with an awkward expression. ”Mr. Flores, as long as Conor Jimenez comes to apologize and makes reparations, and Roy Jimenez steps down, you all can let bygones be bygones?”

Carson Flores chuckled. ”As long as he cooperates, we can let it go and let him step down peacefully.”

Brendan Stein nodded, then turned towards Conor Jimenez. ”Conor, do as Mr. Flores said.”

Conor Jimenez was dumbfounded. ”Brother Brendan...”

Brendan Stein frowned. ”I’m no match for Mr. Flores. Since we can’t beat him, we have to admit defeat. Moreover, Mr. Flores has already given you and your brother a way out. Don’t be unappreciative. Do you think, with Mr. Flores’s involvement, those people would still have a chance to revolt? Or would you like the Hall Master to come out and fight a battle over such a small matter for your sake?”
