The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 185: Chapter 185: Even If I’m the Third Party, I Accept It_1

”Brother, do you know about your origins now?”

Carson Flores was driving the car, nodded: ”Yes, I do.”

Samantha Tate asked cautiously, ”Uncle and aunt, they...”

”Disappeared.”

Carson Flores replied, ”From what I currently know, they encountered danger many years ago and were pursued by killers. Since then, there has been no news. I must have been sent away during that time. As for whether they are still alive, I have no idea.”

Samantha Tate’s mood darkened, thinking that being chased by killers and then vanishing without a trace usually meant the worst. After all, if Carson Flores’s parents were still around, they surely would have found him by now.

Sympathy welled up in Samantha Tate’s heart. Despite this man possessing unparalleled medical skills, extraordinary martial prowess, and numerous abilities, his origins were truly tragic.

”Without concrete news, there’s still hope. Maybe they’re alive. Perhaps it’s just that for some reason or another, they couldn’t find you.”

Samantha Tate racked her brains trying to comfort Carson Flores, ”Maybe they were imprisoned, or perhaps after your master took you in, they didn’t know who adopted you...”

”I’m fine.”

Carson Flores smiled slightly, cutting off Samantha Tate’s words: ”I will find out the truth.”

Samantha Tate looked at Carson Flores’s unfazed smile and breathed a sigh of relief, ”Oscar Miller has escaped. What do we do now?”

Carson Flores thought for a moment, ”I need to go to Seashore.”

Samantha Tate stared at Carson Flores, ”To kill Oscar Miller?”

Carson Flores turned to glance at Samantha Tate, ”The ones I need to kill aren’t limited to Oscar Miller. There are many people in the Miller Family... The Miller Family has a significant connection to my father’s disappearance.”

Understanding dawned on Samantha Tate, and she answered without hesitation, ”I’ll go with you.”

Carson Flores frowned, ”The Miller Family is deeply entrenched in Seashore. As an ordinary person, following me might put you in danger.”

Samantha Tate’s expression was resolute, ”I might not be able to help you, but I wish to be by your side. If you’re worried others will use me to threaten you, I can hide. In the vast city of Seashore, with millions of people, it’s impossible for them to find me. Besides, I’m just one person. The Miller Family has so many people. If they stoop low enough to capture me and threaten you, you don’t have to worry about me. Just deal with the Miller Family members; I don’t believe they won’t surrender.”

Carson Flores laughed, ”Today, Oscar Miller heard Wesley Roth’s exclamation and is already aware of my strength. The Miller Family won’t use today’s methods to threaten me again because even if they succeed, they would swiftly face an unbridled retaliation from a formidable adversary. The Miller Family is too vast, with too many people; they can’t defend against it. Thus, the ensuing struggle between me and the Miller Family will likely be restricted to the cultivators and me, unless I die first. Otherwise, you won’t be in any danger.”

Samantha Tate smiled, ”Well, that’s good, isn’t it? You’d better not think about leaving me behind. I’ve already said it before, wherever you go, I go. Unless you don’t want me anymore.”

Carson Flores pulled the car over to the side of the road and looked into Samantha Tate’s determined eyes, ”Is it worth it? Even without the Miller Family, following me could lead you into many dangers, and I might not be able to save you every time...”

”I’m not afraid.”

Samantha Tate responded unhesitatingly, ”If I hadn’t met you, I would have died several times over. My life was saved by you. Being with you, even if there’s danger, the worst that can happen is death. I might as well give my life back to you.”

Carson Flores smiled, ”No regrets?”

Samantha Tate smiled faintly, ”I don’t know what blood truly runs through my veins, but watching you fight and even kill doesn’t scare me; in fact, it excites me. Since knowing you, my life has suddenly become dazzling and rich. It’s just that I’m not a cultivator. If I had the ability, I would have joined you and fought by your side long ago.”

Samantha Tate leaned in, hugging Carson Flores’s neck, and kissed him, ”I’m living happily and contentedly, how could I have regrets?”

Seeing how Samantha Tate put it that way, Carson Flores didn’t waste any more words and readily agreed, ”Okay, let’s go together.”

Samantha Tate immediately brightened up, grabbed Carson Flores’s neck, and leaned her whole body against him, kissing him.

In a daze, Carson Flores’s hand began to move subconsciously.

Samantha Tate’s cheeks were flushed, and she did nothing to stop it, even adjusting her posture to allow Carson Flores’s hands closer intimacy.

”Brother, shall we go to a hotel?”

On hearing this, Carson Flores’s eyes became somewhat clearer. He hesitated for a moment and then said in a low voice, ”How about we wait a little longer?”

It’s not that Carson Flores didn’t like Samantha Tate, but precisely because he did, he felt it seemed somewhat inappropriate to sleep with her at this moment.

After all, his legal wife was Shirley Miller.

Samantha Tate was quick-witted and instantly understood Carson Flores’s concern. He was worried about the marriage arrangement with his own family.

”Brother, honestly, I don’t mind. As long as you like me, even if I have to be the mistress, I accept it.”

Samantha Tate lay on Carson Flores’s chest, whispering with a laugh, ”Even if that person from your family comes to attack me, I believe you will protect me and not let me be bullied...”
