The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 177: Chapter 177 Seashore Miller Family?_1

”No one knows the origins of your father, Westin Flores, because he never mentioned it to anyone, but he was one of the most outstanding geniuses of the cultivation world in those years. Your mother, Lucy Frost, is from the Frost Family in Western Capital, but it’s said that the Frost Family initially opposed your mother being with your father. Your mother left the Frost Family and followed your father instead.”

Carson Flores listened quietly, without interrupting, and even his mood was very calm.

There was no excitement at finding information about his parents, but rather a feeling of listening to a story.

Rebellion against the family, pursuit of true love?

Pretty romantic, huh.

”27 years ago, around the time you must have just been born, there was a secret meeting of cultivation forces at Jiuhua Mountain’s Sun Bay Resort. Five Sects participated, all powerful entities, and the purpose was to vie for the Heaven’s Prophecy jade you hold.”

”Your father suddenly appeared, and in accordance with the agreed rules, successively challenged representatives from the major forces, winning against all and forcibly took possession of the Heaven’s Prophecy jade through martial conquest. When your father tried to leave with the jade, the participating cultivation forces, dissatisfied with the outcome, broke the previous agreement and jointly attacked your father.”

”Your father, being exceptionally strong, killed or severely wounded dozens of people, though he also suffered serious injuries. Nevertheless, he took the Heaven’s Prophecy jade. At that time, the various Sects continued to hunt down your father. I was severely injured by a palm strike from your father and did not take part in the pursuit, and so I know nothing of what happened after.”

Carson Flores asked, ”Was there any news of my parents or the Heaven’s Prophecy jade after that?”

Marcus Schneider sighed and said, ”After that night, there was no further news of your parents. Everyone believed that they may have been killed by the people of some force chasing them, and that the Heaven’s Prophecy jade also fell into the hands of some force in secret. However, all the participating forces denied any involvement. If you truly are Westin Flores’s son, and really possess the Heaven’s Prophecy jade, then perhaps things are not as everyone has guessed.”

Carson Flores quietly listened to the end and then asked, ”You are not even sure of my identity, so why tell me all this?”

Marcus Schneider coughed twice and said with a smile, ”I’m eighty-four this year, and in the terminal stage of lung cancer; the doctors say I won’t survive another month. Keeping this secret no longer holds any meaning for me. Moreover, during the fight back then, your father had the chance to kill me. He said he spared my life because I had done a lot of charity work; he just gave me a palm strike. Speaking of this, I am quite ashamed.”

”This happened twenty-seven years ago, and I can’t think of anyone besides Westin Flores’s son or relative who would investigate this matter. Since you’ve been adopted since you were a child, and carry the Heaven’s Prophecy jade, it’s very likely that your parents encountered danger and thus gave you away to others. As for whether they are still alive, that can’t be ascertained.”

”To outsiders, this matter is a secret, but for the forces that participated at that time, it’s not really a secret. So whether you are really Westin Flores’s son or not, my telling you this doesn’t matter. After all, so much time has passed, and even if you were to investigate on your own, you’d definitely find out sooner or later, only costing you a bit more time.”

Carson Flores realized then why Marcus Schneider was so generous with sharing the details without confirming his identity; it turned out his days were numbered.

Carson Flores thought for a moment: ”Can you tell me the names of the major forces that attended that meeting?”

Marcus Schneider asked, ”What do you plan to do?”

Carson Flores replied candidly, ”Find the truth about my parents’ disappearance. If they’re not dead, I will find them. If they are, then I’ll find out who the murderer is and avenge them.”

Knowing that his parents had sent him away amidst danger, and had placed the highly valuable Heaven’s Prophecy jade with him, some of Carson Flores’s internal knots naturally unraveled, like the snow under the spring sun, silently melting away.

His parents had been forced by circumstances to send him away for his safety, to keep him far from danger, not because they abandoned him due to selfish motives or other subjective reasons.

Given that, it was his responsibility to locate his parents, dead or alive; there had to be a resolution.

Upon thinking this, a doubt suddenly arose in Carson Flores’s mind.

Was his master aware of all this?

After all, his master was a renowned figure in the cultivation world. Having discovered him as a child and noting the specialness and value of the jade, hadn’t he made any inquiry?

Giving the jade to the Miller Family patriarch, was it truly because of a lack of funds?

With his master’s abilities, would he really be so poor that he couldn’t afford even food?

This time when he returned, his master promptly arranged a marriage for him, told him to seek out his family secrets, yet his master had all but vanished without a trace. Wasn’t this all too coincidental?

Marcus Schneider lapsed into silence, and Carson Flores did not hurry him, just waited quietly.

After a long while, Marcus Schneider sighed deeply and said, ”That day, there were five forces gathered: the Liujia of Tianshan, the Yuyu Sect of Hexi, the Cuijia of Qinghu, the Leitie Sect of Xiyu, and the Miller Family of Seashore. I was affiliated with the Leitie Sect, but I assure you, The Leitie Sect did not catch up with your parents, nor did they kill them. Otherwise, I wouldn’t be discussing this with you...”

”Wait!”

Carson Flores blinked in surprise, ”The Miller Family of Seashore? The Miller Family from the city of Seashore in Tianhai Province?”
