The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 188: Chapter 188 She’s Simply a Disaster_1

Seashore, Miller Family.

Oscar Miller sat on the sofa, one arm in a sling, expression anxious and restless as if sitting on pins and needles.

Across from Oscar, his father, the current Family Head of the Miller Family, Knox Miller sat with a serious expression, making a phone call.

After a long while, Knox hung up the phone and looked at his son, eyebrows slightly furrowed.

”Carson Flores’s master is Andrew.”

Oscar’s eyes widened, ”The Andrew known as the Madman?”

Knox nodded, ”Yes, that’s him.”

Oscar said in shock, ”But that guy is a lunatic, what do we do now?”

Knox spoke coldly, ”According to the information, the James family father and son are likely to have been killed by Carson Flores. The Sect that covered up for him was Rainfield Sect. Andrew once made his way to Rainfield Sect on a rainy night. That night, numerous members of Rainfield Sect were killed or injured, severely weakening the Sect and relegating them to second-rate status. Shepard James’s master is Malcolm Gross of the Rainfield Sect. When the James family father and son died, Malcolm was present and even got injured.”

”Malcolm is definitely no match for Carson Flores. Carson spared his life, perhaps as a means not to draw others’ attention. In exchange, Rainfield Sect helped suppress all the aftermath.”

Oscar said in amazement, ”How did Brian James provoke Carson Flores? Did Carson take action for Shirley Miller?”

Knox looked at his son, deeply dissatisfied with his ignorance, ”Brian James had an underground company that did his dirty work, called Black Bamboo. It was once hired to deal with Carson Flores, but ended up having its lair destroyed by Carson. Brian stood up for his men, sent bodyguards to trouble Carson, and lost the entire squad. Then Carson went straight to Brian, crippled him, forced his son to come back, and wiped out both father and son.”

”I had someone investigate his girlfriend, Samantha Tate. Previously, the president of Build Peace Real Estate, Adan Gilliam, was friends with Newman Family’s head, and the two plotted a marriage alliance. Adan’s son had a conflict with Carson Flores, and later Adan’s son was killed in a hit-and-run by someone with terminal illness. This was a very suspicious event. Newman Family was closely linked with Black Bamboo Corporation. I suspect that Adan’s son had hired Black Bamboo Corporation to kill Carson Flores, but the result was that Carson killed in self-defense, causing his own death and the downfall of Black Bamboo, including Brian James and his son.”

Oscar’s eyes widened, ”All for Samantha Tate? Just like with the Woolery Family?”

Knox nodded, ”Ronin Woolery harassed Samantha Tate, claiming she should kneel and beg to sleep with him. That night, Carson visited the Woolery Family, listed the crimes of Rhys Woolery and Leonidas Woolery, killed them both in public, crippled the Woolery brothers, and then fought with Lonnie Woolery who was defeated. According to the news, within the following two days, several key members of the Woolery Family were executed by Lonnie under family law, likely also related to Carson Flores.”

Oscar was dumbfounded, ”Is Samantha Tate some kind of calamity?”

Knox stared coldly at Oscar, ”You went after Shirley Miller, I didn’t care, because we knew, no one would help her. But why did you provoke the unrelated Samantha Tate? You knew Carson Flores was her boyfriend and had the power to demolish the Browning Family, yet you acted without investigation, headstrong and reckless. Had you thoroughly checked the reasons behind your previous failures with the James family father and son, the Woolery Family, you would’ve known Carson’s background and wouldn’t have acted so rashly, nor would you have caused Wesley Roth’s death, almost causing your own!”

Oscar’s face flushed red with gritted teeth, ”I’d asked about his background, but he refused to tell. He even claimed he had no backing, just his fists. I consulted Uncle Roth, who was full of confidence, saying he could take him down. That’s why I chose to act.”

Knox snorted, ”Even if you killed Carson Flores, what then? With Andrew’s Direct Disciple killed by you, do you think you’d survive? With Andrew’s maniacal nature, do you really think your death would be the end of it? The Miller Family would be doomed to rivers of blood...”

Oscar’s face turned even paler, ”Dad, what do we do now? Surely after Wesley died because of me, I don’t have to apologize to him, right?”

Knox scoffed, ”If you apologized, where would the face of the Miller Family be? Although Andrew is fearsome, he is just one man after all. The Miller Family is not so weak as to fear him. You just focus on healing, leave the rest to me. Besides, I’m warning you not to use any underhanded tactics against those around him anymore. Your attacks without limits will provoke limitless retaliation. With your strength, if he wanted to take your life, it would be as easy as turning his hand over.”

Oscar’s face whiter, panic and fear in his eyes.

”Understood, I won’t make any rash moves, Dad!”

Knox stared at the expression on his son’s face, dissatisfaction in his eyes deepening, ”You can’t be so impulsive in your actions. Even though the Miller Family is strong, we are not invincible. Moreover, remember the adage that an ordinary man in a rage will spill blood in five steps. For a cultivator like Carson, either you eliminate him in one fell swoop, giving no chance for revenge, or you don’t lift a finger and deal with it in other ways. Otherwise, a wounded snake will seek vengeance.”

Knox huffed, ”I’ve put in so much effort to set you up as the heir, don’t screw it up. Know that you are not the only one eyeing that position, and others might even be more competent than you. Your seat is thanks to you being my son. They are all watching you now!”
