In the spacious office, Drake Bernard sat on the leather sofa with a cigar in his mouth and snorted coldly, “Quite the big talker!”

Tucker Tyler respectfully replied, “That’s what he said.”

Drake Bernard asked, “How badly are Jose Rich and his men injured?”

Tucker Tyler answered, “Jose Rich’s right arm is broken, and he has a mild concussion.

The other brothers either have broken arms or legs.

He really didn’t hold back.”

Drake Bernard sneered, pulled open a drawer, took out a handgun, and slapped it onto the table with a smack.

“If he’s got the guts, then let him come.

I’m waiting for him!”

Tucker Tyler hesitated for a moment before saying, “Boss, after all, we are acting on someone’s request.

This Carson Flores seems to be a tough cookie.

Do we really need to take it on ourselves?”

Drake Bernard glared, “The Newman Family has been cooperating with us for many years, many of their businesses are handed over to us.

Now, do you expect me to kill Old Newman’s son?

Do you even think about whether or not we want to make money in the future?”

Tucker Tyler fell silent.

After thinking for a while, Drake Bernard said, “Call Iron Fist and Evil Ghost to come back.

It’s not good to use guns in the city.

Since the kid wants to come, let’s wait for him here and get rid of him once and for all!”

“Yes, boss.”

…

Carson Flores went straight to Red River Hospital for work and retrieved the contract with the official seal stamped on it.

After turning in the contract, this deal was considered complete for Carson Flores.

The rest of the matters would naturally be handled by other departments and the hospital.

Jax Gross came over with a sheet of paper, “Bro Flores, this is John Roth’s resignation report.

He asked me to hand it over to you.”

Carson Flores smiled, “Doesn’t he even have the courage to face me?

You take over his duties for now, and handle his businesses.”

Jax Gross was overjoyed, “Yes, Bro Flores!”

The other colleagues were envious but had nothing to say.

When Carson Flores was harassed by Sergio Combs and John Roth, they stood by and did nothing.

Only Jax Gross stood out to help Carson Flores.

Now that Carson Flores had risen to power and was rewarding Jax Gross, it was only natural.

Carson Flores played games in the office until noon, then left the office a bit early, walked to the elevator, and pressed the down button before idly looking at his phone.

“Ding”

The elevator doors opened, and while Carson Flores’s gaze was fixed on his phone screen, he noticed from the corner of his eye that the elevator was pretty empty and stepped in unconsciously.

There were people in the elevator, and Carson Flores instinctively put down his phone, looked up, and was about to press the floor button, but the next second, his actions suddenly froze.

Just a step away from Carson Flores stood two beautiful women, arm in arm, looking at him with astonished faces.

To the left was Shirley Miller, wearing a blue collarless short-sleeved blazer dress, her features delicate and her demeanor frosty.

To the right was Samantha Tate, clad in a white off-the-shoulder puff-sleeve top, revealing her slender waist, pairing it with black shorts and black leg-tie high heels, looking stunning and sexy.

Samantha Tate, linking arms with Shirley Miller, the two were of similar height, with two almost identical pretty faces, both registering the same shock.

Carson Flores was stunned.

What was happening?

What should he do now?

One was his legitimate faux-wife, the other, his fake girlfriend…

Should he greet them?

His formidable psychological fortitude came into play at this moment.

It took less than 0.5 second for Carson Flores to regain his composure.

He nodded and smiled at them—by way of a greeting—then without waiting to see if they responded, he turned around to face the elevator doors, his back to the women.

He even picked up his phone and continued reading what he hadn’t finished.

Almost simultaneously, Shirley Miller and Samantha Tate concealed their surprise and tried to appear natural.

Neither wanted the other to realize their acquaintance with Carson Flores.

The elevator was silent, yet a maelstrom of thoughts churned within each of them.

Carson Flores’s eyes were on his phone, but his thoughts were far from it.

They really did know each other!

Looking so similar, they must be blood-related.

If they’re not twin sisters, with one named Tate and the other Miller, they could be cousins?

The world really was too small.

He had gone to Shirley Miller to fulfill a marriage agreement, only to be dragged away by her cousin Samantha Tate, who had him play her boyfriend.

Many of Carson Flores’s previous doubts were answered in this instant.

When Samantha Tate took him to the hospital to pose as her boyfriend, she received a call in the car with a contact saved under the name “Snow.” Wasn’t that Shirley Miller?

When he left after visiting Old Master Dariel in the hospital, he saw Samantha Tate arm in arm with a tall lady approaching the hospital.

Wasn’t that woman Shirley Miller?

Samantha Tate’s grandfather was hospitalised, and it was perfectly reasonable for Shirley Miller to visit.

When he asked Shirley Miller if she had any sisters, she might have thought he was asking about a biological sister, and thinking he was a thug, she answered with an unwavering “no,” not giving him a chance to explain.

But hadn’t Samantha Tate met Shirley Miller before?

Shirley Miller showed no reaction to him, which suggested that Samantha Tate hadn’t told her cousin that her fake boyfriend was him, at least not the name.

Likewise, Shirley Miller apparently didn’t tell Samantha Tate that she was already “married,” and that her faux husband was him.

Well, this was truly absurd!

Out of the three, probably only he understood the real situation; both women were still in the dark…
