Carson Flores and Jax Gross had barely exchanged greetings upon entering when Waylen James already stood up eagerly, “You’re here, please sit.”

The two sat down, and Waylen James actually got up, took a cup, and brewed tea for each of them.

“It’s hot outside, isn’t it?

Here, have some tea!”

Jax Gross and Carson Flores exchanged a quick look, both eyes brimming with confusion.

This attitude was a world apart from earlier.

What’s going on?

Waylen James smiled, “I just took a call.

One of our suppliers has some issues, so a bunch of orders opened up.

That’s why I asked you to come back to talk.

How should I address this gentleman?”

Carson Flores replied with a smile, “Carson Flores, you can just call me Carson.”

Waylen James spoke warmly, “I’ve met Jax a few times before, but Carson, it’s my first time meeting you.”

Jax Gross quickly explained, “Carson just transferred from another sales team and has been allocated to handle the business for Red River Hospital.

Because I had previous contacts with Director Waylen, I brought him along to visit you.”

Jax Gross’s words were tactful; he did not say that Carson was a new employee to the company.

After all, that might make the purchaser feel undervalued.

Are you sending someone who doesn’t understand anything new to handle my business, looking down on whom?

Jax Gross also clarified it was Carson’s job to handle the order, but because he had prior contact with this side, he was making the introduction, avoiding any conflicts over who owned the order.

Waylen James breathed a sigh of relief, stood up, “Let me show you the requirement list.”

Waylen James had just received instructions from the hospital director to prioritize procurement with Miller Medical; give them as many orders as possible, the more the better, follow regular procedures, no shady dealings, and the order could only be given to Carson Flores.

Even the hospital director, worried that Waylen James might act against orders, pointedly reminded him that it was President Simmons’s directive.

Waylen James was shocked.

The connection went straight to the top!

What else was there to do but follow orders?

Not only did he have to follow them, but he also had to do so splendidly.

As for those he had promised earlier, well, that was a problem for another time.

Waylen James brought over the medical equipment requirement list that had yet to be signed and placed it in front of Carson Flores, “Carson, take a look.

Here’s our requirement list.

Could you check which of these Miller Medical can provide?”

Jax Gross glanced at it and was immediately thrilled.

Big business, indeed!

With Jax’s help, they identified a batch of devices that Miller Medical could provide, including a set of expensive MRI equipment, with a total value reaching 18 million.

Waylen James looked it over and smiled, “We also need this batch of equipment urgently.

Did you bring the contract with you?”

Jax Gross was stunned.

Were they discussing the contract already?

“We did!”

Waylen James smiled, “Then let’s sign the contract.”

Jax Gross felt like he was dreaming.

Were they already signing, and it hadn’t even been half an hour?

They didn’t play hardball on the price, taking the bidding price as it was, which was outrageous enough.

But what was even more outrageous was that with such a big order, Waylen James did not discuss any kickbacks and just directly said to sign – it was unheard of.

Only after confirming the entire equipment list and the prices and finalizing the signatures did Jax Gross snap back to reality.

He promptly said warmly, “Director Waylen, thank you so much.

Please honor us with your presence for a simple dinner tonight…”

Waylen James refused with a stern tone, “No need for dinner.

Just ensure the quality of the equipment and the follow-up maintenance.

Just stick to the agreement, and that will be enough!”

Waylen James then turned to Carson with a warm handshake, “Carson, our hospital is in its formative stage, so there should be a significant demand for equipment in the future.

When we need something, I’ll contact you.”

Jax Gross’s eyes widened with astonishment.

More demands in the future?

And he’s going to take the initiative to contact us?

What’s going on with the world?

It’s getting difficult to understand.

We are supposed to be the client here, but this attitude makes us feel like we’re the client.

“Thank you, Director Waylen.

Then we’ll take our leave now.”

“Sure, I’ll see you out!”

Waylen James enthusiastically escorted them to the elevator before returning.

Jax Gross was no fool; he asked tentatively, “Carson, do you have some strong connections?

All of what Director Waylen did today seems to be all for your benefit.”

Carson Flores inquired, “You said earlier that Red River Hospital is a private hospital, who’s behind the investment?”

Jax Gross evidently had done his research and confidently replied, “Simmons Family Group.”

Simmons Family Group?

The Simmons father and son?

Carson had his suspicions earlier; now they were confirmed.

Although he didn’t know how the Simmons family knew he was running this business, it was clear they had instructed so.

This was them doing him a favor.

Otherwise, how could an 18 million deal be signed so cleanly, without a price cut or kickbacks?

Wishful thinking.

Carson nodded, “That makes sense.”

Jax was curious and inquired, “Carson, what’s going on?”

Carson simply explained, “I had previously done a favor for the chairman of Simmons Family Group.

I have no idea how they found out I’m handling these sales, but this is their way of returning the favor.”

Jax Gross was dumbfounded, “Carson, your favor must be incredibly valuable, an 18 million order.”

Carson smiled, “You’re the only one who needs to know about this.

Let’s keep it quiet within the company, okay?”

“I’ll keep it a secret!”

Jax Gross first made a promise, then became excited again, “Haha, I’m really looking forward to seeing the expressions on John Roth and Sergio Combs’s faces when they learn that you secured the big order.

It will be priceless…”
