The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

32: Chapter 32 Wolves_1 32: Chapter 32 Wolves_1 “You’re tough as nails; I’m no match for you, I surrender!”

No sooner had Darian Marshman admitted defeat than the odd looks from everyone made him wish he could burrow into the ground and hide.

So humiliating!

Meanwhile, Ethan was utterly dumbfounded, completely numb!

Damn, Darian Marshman, aren’t you from the Skyhawk Special Combat Team?

Aren’t you an expert in combat, capable of taking on ten people with ease?

Don’t you always boast about being an outdoor survival expert and a combat master?

And you were taken down by Carson Flores in two moves?

Ethan’s heart sank; his main support had fallen.

Making things difficult for Carson Flores was going to be challenging now.

“Carson Flores, you’re so amazing!”

Samantha Tate’s cheers rang out, causing Ethan to turn his head woodenly, only to see Samantha Tate joyfully approaching, linking arms with Carson Flores as if welcoming a hero, her beautiful eyes filled with nothing but admiration.

Critical hit!

Suddenly, Ethan felt the urge to go home.

Camping?

Camping my ass!

Was I here to spoil things or to play matchmaker?

I got freaking played by Carson Flores!

Carson Flores sat back in his seat, suddenly feeling a different vibe, and as he looked up, he saw rows of passionate, adoring gazes.

“Bro, what kind of soldier were you before?

You’re so awesome!”

“Those moves just now were too cool!”

“Come on, drink up!”

Carson Flores smiled.

These rich kids sure were realistic; they probably had been waiting to laugh at him.

But now, after seeing how easily he had handled their perceived champ, Darian Marshman, their attitudes changed completely, even calling him ‘bro’.

Samantha Tate sat next to Carson Flores, watching him drink with everyone, her gaze filled with admiration and a touch of something more subtle.

Tall and strong, skilled in medicine, good at driving, attentive, with explosive Combat Power…

Being by his side felt so safe!

A thought suddenly flashed through Samantha Tate’s mind—what if he really was her boyfriend…

Samantha Tate’s cheeks blushed, and then she suddenly snapped out of it.

What’s gotten into me, am I daydreaming?

Do I like him?

My father would never agree to me being with him!

He’s just a scapegoat!

Everything I’m doing now is just to make Ethan give up for good; it’s definitely not because I have feelings for Carson Flores, let alone that I’ve fallen for him!

After the barbecue, everyone prepared to go fishing.

Darian Marshman, who had hurt his right leg, lay in a chair to rest, starting to worry about how he would get down the mountain tomorrow.

Without Darian Marshman’s help, Ethan no longer dared to provoke Carson Flores, and started to behave himself.

Although Ethan was the organizer of this event, all the participants were second-generation rich kids.

They would give him face, but that didn’t mean they would be at his beck and call.

A round of drinks brought Carson Flores closer to the other heirs.

Despite his reputation as a master fighter, Darian Marshman was always polite to them, even deliberately maintaining relationships.

But Carson Flores was the opposite; he was modest about his abilities and didn’t boast.

In social interactions, he treated everyone as equals, not sucking up to anyone for being rich or powerful.

He acted naturally, his every word and laugh stemming from his heart, exuding confidence.

No pretense, no flattery.

With such a contrast between Carson Flores and Darian Marshman, the group increasingly felt that Carson Flores was the true embodiment of a master.

Who wouldn’t like such a master?

The afternoon passed in the joyful atmosphere of fishing.

In the evening, they roasted the fish they had caught and made fish soup, gathering around the table to drink.

Ethan drank a can of sullenness and, finding an excuse, withdrew to play with his phone.

Watching from afar as Carson Flores and his own friends jovially drank together, Ethan felt both stifled and angry.

Aren’t you my friends?

Don’t you know that Carson Flores is my rival in love?

And you’re still having such a good time with him?

I’m the one who’s ended up isolated?

Are you even human?

The sky rapidly darkened, and Ethan played his phone until the battery died.

He then stood up and headed for the tent, planning to be out of sight and out of mind.

But after only a few steps, he suddenly stopped.

In the depths of the woods, something green was shimmering.

Ethan stared hard and realized that those shimmering green things were pairs of eyes, blinking and slowly moving closer.

A few seconds later, Ethan’s face turned pale, and he screamed in terror.

“Wolves!

A pack of wolves!”

The people drinking were startled and turned their heads.

Ruby Gross, with her hair dyed red, laughed, “Ethan, are you scared to death?

Who are you trying to frighten?”

Ethan turned and ran, but after only a few steps, he tripped and fell.

The wolf pack, initially moving slowly in the forest, suddenly quickened their pace and started running toward the camp.

Ethan looked back and saw the approaching wolves, his soul nearly leaving his body as he scrambled toward them, shouting in terror, “They’re coming!”

Meanwhile, Carson Flores had already heard the sound of branches and shrubs being trampled in the woods, clearly indicating that Ethan was not lying.

The wolf pack was indeed charging closer!

It was obviously too late to find a place to hide, so Carson Flores stood up resolutely and shouted, “Everyone, back to back, form a circle.

Grab a skewer, a chair, a stick—anything that can be a weapon in your hand!”
