Irrefutable.

No matter what he said, he couldn’t hide the fact that he was so scared he’d wet his pants.

Moreover, he could imagine this incident spreading throughout the entire circle of wealthy idlers in Polgel.

From now on, whenever someone mentioned him, they would probably add, “Isn’t he the one who wet his pants when he encountered the pack of wolves?” This label would probably never be removed.

Absolute social death!

Ethan glared fiercely at Ruby Gross before getting up, turning around, and walking straight into his tent, closing the tent flap behind him.

Ruby Gross pouted, “Why glare at me?

I didn’t talk nonsense.

I’m a girl and didn’t even wet my pants, but a grown man pissing his pants, that’s really poor form!”

Roland Browning, the son of another wealthy family, chimed in, “Carson literally saved our lives, and not a word of thanks, that’s just pathetic.”

Before, everyone knew that Ethan wanted to pursue Samantha Tate and that Carson Flores was Samantha Tate’s boyfriend, which made him Ethan’s romantic rival.

They were all regular playmates, so naturally, everyone emotionally supported Ethan.

But after the wolf-attack incident, everyone’s sentiments had changed.

Carson, a true master, a real man!

If Carson hadn’t been there today, they would probably all have become food for the wolves, and most likely none would have escaped.

This was a debt of life-saving gratitude!

Now, everyone felt both grateful and admiring towards Carson, naturally all aligning with him, while Ethan, who had always schemed against Carson and wet his pants out of fear, was naturally despised.

Hiding in his tent, Ethan’s face was ashen, and his hands were clenched into fists.

A bunch of fence-sitters!

Carson!

If Carson hadn’t injured Darian Marshman, Darian definitely could have protected him, and he might even have had a chance with Samantha.

After enduring a crisis together, he might have won the beauty for himself!

Ethan ground his teeth with hatred brimming in his heart.

If it wasn’t for Carson, how could he have faced such a huge embarrassment today?

How could he be socially dead?

Carson, I’m going to kill you!

Carson squatted down beside Darian Marshman, checked the wound, and said naturally, “It didn’t hit anything vital, no big issue, I’ll bandage it for you.”

Darian Marshman looked at Carson with a complex expression, hesitated for a moment, then said, “I targeted you before, why would you save me?”

“Could someone please bring me the first-aid box.”

Carson looked back and called out, then smiling said, “If I didn’t save you, you’d be dead.

Although you targeted me, I wouldn’t be happy about your death.

We all arrived in good order, so naturally we should all leave in the same way.

Someone dying ruins the mood for everyone.

As for the minor issues, I never took them to heart from the beginning.”

Darian understood.

Carson had never taken his provocation and targeting seriously.

Would an elephant care about the challenge of an ant?

A for saving him, it was just a matter of convenience and not about any personal feelings towards him, merely a wish not to have deaths in the camping team that would upset everyone.

Darian gave a bitter smile, “Thank you.”

Carson waved his hand nonchalantly, turned around to receive the first-aid box that Ruby Gross handed him, then went on to disinfect Darian’s wound and bandage it properly.

After treating Darian’s leg, Carson stood up and said with a smile, “The Wolf King is dead, the pack shouldn’t dare to attack again, so no worries.

Eat if you want to eat, drink if you want to drink, sleep if you want to sleep.”

Everyone immediately relaxed, started to tidy up the barbecue utensils and such that were scattered in the fight.

Carson also took a towel to the waterside, intending to clean the bloodstains off his body.

The towel soaked with water, he washed his face, wiped his hair, and just as he was about to wipe his upper body, Samantha Tate approached, “You can’t reach your back, let me help you.”

Carson turned his head to glance at Samantha, smiling, “I can handle it myself.”

But Samantha didn’t say anything, took the towel straight from Carson, and pushed him, “Turn around.”

Carson’s expression was slightly surprised, but he obediently turned around.

Samantha held the towel, wiping Carson’s back.

Samantha’s movements weren’t fast, and she was very thorough.

But on closer inspection, her hand holding the towel was taut with nervousness, and her cheeks bore an unusual flush of red.

Being this close to a man for the first time, her heart pounded like a deer on the run, chaotic but also filled with an inexplicable anticipation and sweetness.

The blood on Carson’s back was not much, and Samantha cleaned it after a few wipes.

Her gaze fell on the scar on Carson’s back.

Such a long scar, it must have hurt a lot when he was wounded, right?

A feeling of inexplicable pity arose within Samantha’s heart.

Her fingertips touched the scar, and she lightly traced the line of the wound with her fingertips.

“Does it hurt now?”

Feeling Samantha’s fingers lightly tracing the scar on his back, Carson felt a peculiar sensation in his heart.

He coughed and turned around, took the towel from Samantha, and said with a smile, “It’s all healed, naturally it doesn’t hurt anymore.”

Samantha’s fingertips slipped into the air, and she felt a moment of loss in her heart.

Carson crouched down to rinse the towel.

Standing behind him, Samantha bit her lip, “Carson, thank you.”

Carson chuckled low, winked at Samantha, “Aren’t I your boyfriend?

Protecting my girlfriend, that’s just part of the job, right?”
