The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

18: Chapter 18 You Can’t Be Unreasonable to Me for a Lifetime_1 18: Chapter 18 You Can’t Be Unreasonable to Me for a Lifetime_1 Samantha?

Carson noticed the young man and felt amused inside.

So, I’m being used as a shield here.

Samantha had no feelings for this young man and, with a roll of her eyes and an indifferent expression, introduced, “Carson, my boyfriend.”

“Boyfriend?”

The young man’s voice suddenly rose a few octaves, but he quickly realized his reaction was too strong and hurriedly composed himself, pretending to be calm, “How come you suddenly have a boyfriend?

I’ve never heard you mention him before.

Isn’t he just someone you found to deal with your uncle and aunt?”

You guessed it right!

Carson chuckled inwardly but put on a puzzled look and said, “Samantha, who is this …?”

Samantha explained, “Ethan, this gentleman is Uncle Ethan, a friend of my dad’s and the chairman of Jian’an Real Estate.

They came to visit grandpa today.”

With that, Carson understood the situation.

Uncle Ethan and Adan Gilliam were friends.

Adan Gilliam had a daughter, Uncle Ethan had a son, and here they were, visiting together.

What else could it mean?

They just want to take it a step further, turning friends into relatives, right!

Judging by the situation, Adan Gilliam liked Ethan and was willing, but Samantha probably had no feelings for Ethan, which was why she used Carson as a shield.

Samantha dodged Ethan’s question and turned to say, “Dad, you chat first, I’ll take Carson to treat Grandpa.”

Adan Gilliam’s expression was steady, showing no emotion: “Go ahead, Carson, I am troubling you.”

Carson smiled: “We’re all family.

What’s the trouble?

Uncle, entertain the guests, I’ll go and perform acupuncture on the old man.”

Adan’s eyebrows twitched, and his breath grew heavier.

Who is ‘we’re all family’ with you?

Who acknowledged you?

You’re dreaming if you think you can enter the Gilliam family!

It seemed Adan needed to give Ethan a hint to get rid of Carson from Samantha’s side.

As for Carson’s medical treatment of the old man, hadn’t he given fifty grand for the treatment?

Once Ethan successfully got rid of Carson, the old man’s illness would also be almost cured.

No debts, no lingering, completely done with!

…

“Well done!”

Reaching the second floor, Samantha stopped, gave Carson a thumbs up, and whispered in praise, “Keep it up, drive that jerk away!”

Carson chuckled softly: “You didn’t mention this part before.”

Samantha huffed: “Aren’t you my boyfriend?

Protecting your girlfriend from other men’s harassment is what a boyfriend should do, right?”

Carson widened his eyes: “You wish!”

“Who’s wishing!”

Samantha slapped Carson on the arm but suddenly realized her action might have been too intimate and glared at him: “We have an agreement, don’t back out now, and I remind you again, don’t overthink it!”

Carson smiled: “I know, I know, I’m not good enough for you, am I?”

Samantha snorted and hesitated before saying, “Actually, you’re not bad.

You look okay, and you have such impressive medical skills, even better than some famous physicians.

If you practiced medicine, you’d soon become a renowned doctor and make a lot of money.

You have a bright future.”

Carson responded with a laugh: “Practice what medicine?

I don’t even have a medical license, hospitals wouldn’t take me, and I’m not qualified to open my own practice.”

“Just take the exam.”

Samantha seriously replied: “With your medical skills, getting a license should be simple.

If not, ask Doctor Ward to help you find a way.

Getting a license would be easy-peasy.”

Carson looked into Samantha’s earnest eyes and suddenly felt more fondness for her.

Although her implication was still for him not to get any ideas about her because she wouldn’t be interested in him, she subtly issued him the card of a famous doctor and sincerely told him to get a license to practice medicine, pointing out a path for him.

Those were words of goodwill.

Carson teased lightly: “Okay, I’ll get a license, then specifically treat these wealthy tycoons.

Charge them a few million per case, and in a couple of years, maybe I’ll also be a billionaire.

Then I might be qualified to be your boyfriend, right?”

Samantha laughed at his words: “Yeah, sure, when you become a famous doctor with a big name and a billionaire, my dad definitely won’t look down on you like he does now.

Try hard, and maybe I really will marry you.”

Carson said: “All right, I’ll work hard.

You just wait.”

Samantha pushed him: “Who’s waiting for you?

Keep dreaming.

Hurry up and do the acupuncture for my grandpa!”

Carson laughed and followed Samantha into Dariel Gilliam’s room.

Dariel Gilliam was propped up in bed and seemed delighted to see Carson, looking as if he was seeing his grandson-in-law.

Carson first performed an examination on Dariel Gilliam and then administered acupuncture.

After the treatment and a casual chat with Dariel Gilliam, Carson and Samantha left the room.

“All done, I’m heading back.”

Samantha grabbed Carson’s arm: “What’s the rush?

It’s mealtime now, you should at least have dinner here before leaving …”

Carson looked at Samantha amusedly: “Do you want me to stand in for you?

You’re so pretty, don’t get ahead of yourself!”

Samantha, seeing Carson trying to leave, became anxious: “How can you be like this?

Didn’t we agree?

You …

you looked at my chest; you have to take responsibility!”

Carson laughed in disbelief: “Don’t be unreasonable.

That was an accident, and I did it to save you.

You’ve already played that card once; you can’t hold it against me for a lifetime.”

Suddenly, Samantha gave Carson a seductive smile and reached for the edge of her blouse at her chest: “Or, want to have another look?”
