The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

47: Chapter 47: Only One Can Live 47: Chapter 47: Only One Can Live The young man holding the DV turned pale.

He knew that Carson Flores could fight, but he didn’t know Carson could fight like this!

The ordinary thugs who only knew how to brawl were one thing, but the last to act was ‘Quick Knife’ Jose Rich from the Three Heroes of Bamboo!

Jose hailed from a martial arts family, practiced knife-fighting from a young age, and his quick knife skills were said to be so swift and impenetrable that he could make eight cuts on a person’s body in the blink of an eye.

He was one of the top three fighters working for the boss of the Black Bamboo Corporation.

The invincible Jose Rich was brought down by Carson Flores with an iron rod, lying on the ground, his fate unknown; he had taken a fall!

The young man knelt down promptly and neatly.

“Big brother, I was just following orders.

Ask whatever you want to know, and please just let me off this one time.”

Carson Flores said mockingly, “You do know what’s good for you.

Tell me what’s going on.”

Without any hesitation, the young man began, “My name is Tucker Tyler.

I come from the Black Bamboo Corporation.

On the surface, Black Bamboo is a labor service company that takes on various construction projects.

Privately, it also deals with lending money, debt collection, and other dirty businesses like taking money to get things done.”

“The boss of the company is named Drake Bernard, also known as Brother Drake.

I am the boss’s assistant.

Yesterday, Brother Drake ordered me to handle this matter and told me to record the process with a DV, saying the client insisted on it and that you couldn’t be let off too easily.

But honestly, I have no idea who hired Brother Drake for this job, as he is the boss and I’m just a subordinate.”

Carson Flores pointed with the iron rod in his hand at the unconscious Jose Rich: “This guy’s knife skills aren’t bad.”

Tucker Tyler explained, “His name is Jose Rich, one of the top three experts of our Black Bamboo, along with Iron Fist Walker Compton and Evil Ghost Ryan.

They’re known as the Three Heroes of Bamboo and are quite famous in this area.

The boss said you were a tough fighter, so he dispatched Jose Rich for this job, and I am the executor and recorder of this matter.”

Carson Flores looked at the DV in Tucker Tyler’s hand.

Tyler immediately opened the DV, took out the storage card, and snapped it in two with a click.

“Big brother, we never saw you today.

They were just drunk and fighting, and ended up like this.

It has nothing to do with you, big brother.”

Tucker Tyler extended his own arm: “If you still feel unsatisfied, big brother, you can break my arm just like theirs.

I can’t bring myself to do it, so I’d have to trouble you.”

Carson Flores couldn’t help but laugh.

You’d say this guy has guts for being the quickest and most efficient at kneeling, without any hesitation, but if you say he’s timid, when he talks about these things, he’s clean and decisive, speaking rapidly but not flustered, organized, and even dares to offer his arm for you to break.

Carson Flores dropped the iron rod and said with a smile, “Considering how cooperative you’ve been, I’ll let you off this one time.

However, you need to go back and deliver a message to your boss for me.”

Tucker Tyler’s eyes lit up: “Big brother, your wish is my command!”

Carson Flores said indifferently, “Someone has paid him to take my life, and he’s made his move.

By rights, I should go and take him out now, but I’m willing to give people a chance to make amends.

If within three days, he kills the person who hired him to kill me, then today’s incident will be forgiven.

But if the employer is still alive after three days, then unfortunately, he will have to die.”

Tucker Tyler’s face turned grave: “Big brother means that only one of the boss or the employer can live?”

Carson Flores said with a smile, “Full marks for comprehension, now get lost.”

Tucker Tyler let out a sigh of relief, expressing his gratitude profusely: “Thank you, big brother!”

Carson Flores didn’t bother with these people anymore and drove off straight away.

When he got home, Shirley Miller had already taken a bath and was sitting in a chair reading a book.

Even in loose cotton pajamas, her shapely figure could not be concealed.

Carson Flores took a shower first, which was his daily habit.

He made sure he was clean before entering the bedroom because he would be sleeping in Shirley Miller’s bed.

“Today, you appointed me as the acting group leader.

Did Martin Baker give you a hard time?”

The Baker Family is the second-largest shareholder of the Miller Group, and they have always been fighting with the Miller Family for power, both openly and in secret.

Martin Baker is the deputy director of the group and Shirley Miller’s current biggest rival.

Shirley Miller kept her eyes on her book, not looking up: “You had solid evidence on your side; he had nothing to say.

However, Tristan Curry is Martin Baker’s man.

From now on, you have to show some results, preferably settle the Red River Hospital’s order contract quickly, or they will make trouble for you.”

Carson Flores nodded, “I had dinner tonight with Director Zhao of the Red River Hospital; the contract has already been given to them, and it will be settled tomorrow.”

Shirley Miller breathed a sigh of relief: “That’s good.

What are your plans following this?”

Carson Flores said with a smile, “I’m just getting by day-to-day.

Didn’t you say the acting position lasts three months?

That suits me just fine.

When the time comes, I’ll be on my way.”

Shirley Miller was silent for two seconds: “Fine, as long as you don’t cause any trouble for these three months.”

Carson Flores asked with interest, “I heard you’re being targeted by Martin Baker at the company, and it’s quite tough for you?”

Shirley Miller pursed her lips: “That’s none of your business.”

Carson Flores shrugged: “Alright, I’m just being nosy.”

Shirley Miller’s phone suddenly rang.

She turned to the side and answered the call.

“Xiao Xi…

Yeah, I’ll be at the company tomorrow…

Noon, right…

Okay, I’ll wait for you at the office.

Call me when you get there.”
