Three Towers Game

Chapter 338: Chapter 122: End of the Doomsday Survival Game_3

He was genuinely contemplating whether to kill these people.

To die in the Deceit Tower is perfectly reasonable. Everyone can die in the Deceit Tower, even the old principal still dares not to step into it.

So why not?

No one will ever know what you’ve done; you are the god of Wind City after all.

At the same time, haven’t you always boasted about being a villain?

Wen Xishu kept trying to convince himself, aiming for maximum profit. Killing his teammates—since the twisted dice have chosen this option, not doing so in the end would be a waste, wouldn’t it?

It was all just a matter of a single thought.

He suddenly felt that this issue seemed more difficult than the game itself. He really thought about it for a very, very long time, and ultimately...

He suddenly thought of the three gems in his dormitory, thought of Xun Hui, and also of Wenren Mirror.

He also thought of Zhang Hai and Kate, who were both so stingy in the game, with their attitude that it’s okay to lose life, but not money.

Finally, he thought of John.

He seemed to see John saying:

”You are now the savior of Wind City.”

Wen Xishu finally sighed lightly, finding an excuse for himself:

”Their Three Towers attributes are probably not much, and I don’t lack them. Besides, it doesn’t fit the style of the current version. If it were the dark and brutal old version of ’Apocalypse’, I’d kill them.”

Thinking about it this way, Wen Xishu felt much relieved.

Killing for Wen Xishu was actually nothing to be particularly entangled about. When he sensed the other party’s malice, his first reaction was how to kill the other person in the Deceit Tower.

During his previous explorations, he had always acted this way. But since Wen Xiangge and the others, Wen Xishu seemed to have set a series of limitations on himself regarding killing.

These restrictions became more and more, making him feel as if he had changed.

He didn’t like this change, fearing that he would become weak because of it. But in the end, he was still being changed bit by bit.

Perhaps it originated from those poor people in the Desire Tower, or maybe, it stemmed from those kind-hearted people in the Bunker.

...

...

[Wen Xishu: I have already completed all the main quests. I am about to return to the Bunker. Wish you all good luck.]

[Ye Lingfeng: Three minutes, I need all the strategies for this game. Ye will give you an irresistible wealth.]

[Baby-faced Wolf: Is it over? No, everything has just begun. You have yet to uncover the real evil, though this itself might be a form of luck.]

[Zhang Hai: Boss... aren’t we supposed to survive for seven days? Are we playing the same game?]

They really weren’t.

[Wen Xishu: Good luck. I have finished all the main quests here, so I am heading back early. But don’t rush it, even the third level of the Deceit Tower has its difficulties.]

[Kate: I regret it so much. Why did we decide to act separately in the first place? Boss, do you have any advice?]

Wen Xishu remembered that the reason they separated at the beginning was that the others chose hidden professions.

But he and Blind did not choose hidden professions.

But now it seems, memories have been altered. He didn’t ask much; it didn’t matter. He fully believed in the capabilities of the Three Towers.

Not only the people in the game, but even those who observed from the rest area back then had their memories altered as well.

However, there still seemed to be a bug. Zhang Hai and Kate, the two working-class guys, recognized who Wen Xishu was.

But they found it very strange why a big shot of this level would be assigned to the same tier as themselves.

But Wen Xishu did not explain too much.

[Wen Xishu: No particular advice. The survival difficulty of the game is not high; just enjoy the game itself. In any case, safety first. It’s fine not to push tasks.]

Actually, for others, the game was still very dangerous, but in Wen Xishu’s eyes, the third level was no different from an amusement park.

At this moment, Wen Xishu was more concerned about Blind.

[Wen Xishu: Blind, do you still really want to die?]

[Blind: I don’t know.]

[Wen Xishu: The monsters in the game won’t attack you. You can take this time to think carefully about what you really want. This world is terrible, but it’s not that terrible. If you can feel kindness even in the Deceit Tower, why be so fixated on the malice of those few people in the Bunker?]

Wen Xishu hoped Blind would survive.

Maybe this fit John’s game setting, or maybe he never disliked Blind from the start.

But Blind was not convinced by Wen Xishu’s spoken arguments.

[Blind: What kind of nonsense is that? The monsters in the Deceit Tower have no malice, so the people in the Bunker are to be forgiven? People spread tales of the horrors of ghosts just to... cover up their own ugliness. Wen Xishu, I know you’re the recently famous Wen Xishu. I also know a bunch of people look up to you like a god. But in this world, I don’t believe in gods. If gods really existed, why didn’t they come to save me?]

[Blind: I will find another way. I will stay in this place, just like Tam and Tokugawa.]

In the modified memories of the people, Tokugawa River and Tam had failed their tasks and were bitten by zombies, turning into zombies themselves.

Wen Xishu didn’t say much. He had already convinced himself a while ago not to actively kill people.

But if someone wanted to die, he wouldn’t stop them either.

”Then I wish you luck. Wind City is indeed quite livable.”

Wen Xishu did not reply to Blind; he just muttered this to himself. He also didn’t care why Blind would have such a world-weary mindset or what experiences led Blind to want to die.
