Three Towers Game

Chapter 306: Revised: Chapter 117 The Game of Swallowing Desires_3

It doesn’t show whether, after suddenly acquiring wealth, you can seriously plan your finances, and what you lose when you can’t repay.

Tam was completely unaware of these considerations. He only thought about the asset value of one hundred thousand.

”6480 asset value can make you the emperor of Wind City, then one hundred thousand... I would be the ruler of the world!”

Tam’s message asking for asset value received no response from anyone.

But the prompt that he could lend one hundred thousand assets instantly restored his confidence.

[Tam: You bunch of trash, as long as I’m here, there’s no way you can become saviors. How many divisions do saviors have? I’m already the emperor of Wind City, you’ll regret your indifference.]

Tam accepted the deal.

At this moment, Wen Xishu, Wolf Boy, Ye Lingfeng, Blind, Tokugawa River, Kate, Zhang Hai, all received a prompt simultaneously.

The avatar of ”Heroic Tower of Taum” had dimmed.

[Game update, north of Wind City, large scale zombies and nests have appeared. Zombie boss evolution level: Baron. The boss is armed and has powerful firepower. Danger level: ten skulls.]

Others didn’t know what had happened. But they guessed, with Tam’s avatar dimming, perhaps Tam died?

Wen Xishu didn’t believe that Tam, who had made such arrogant remarks, would immediately die.

At this moment, Wen Xishu was preparing to trigger the next task.

But after receiving Tam’s offline and the game update prompt, Wen Xishu suddenly felt there was a connection between the two.

”Could this game have... transformed Tam into a zombie?”

”Baron, seems to be a highly evolved zombie. Armed and with strong firepower... I remember Tam was previously flaunting his rocket launcher bought with 98 asset value...”

The more Wen Xishu thought, the more scared he became.

Though, in a certain sense, if these people died, their assets would become his own.

But Wen Xishu wasn’t sure how to calculate this kind of death.

”Could this game devour Bunker players, turning them into a part of the game?”

If they’ve already become part of the game, would their assets still exist after death?

In his villa in the Violet Garden District, Wen Xishu didn’t immediately start the task, but stroked his chin, contemplating the game’s situation.

”Evil of the Four Dice can make my teammates’ death... allowing me to inherit their Three Towers assets, including attributes, sequences, items, etc.”

”But if Tam’s death is associated with the appearance of the Baron, then could I hypothesize that Tam sold himself to the game in exchange for asset value, becoming part of the game?”

”Then Tam’s asset value was essentially devoured by the game.”

”If Tam died, I’d get nothing.”

Wen Xishu thought, you guys can die, as I have Evil of the Four Dice, your death benefits me; at most I wouldn’t kill you personally but let you die in the game.

So Wen Xishu planned to save nobody except Blind, who initially wanted to die.

Blind was only saved symbolically, thinking that Blind was bound to die eventually.

This was Wen Xishu’s thought.

But now, he realized something was off with the game.

”This game is like a predator. Anyone who spends money easily gets immersed in their fantasy, then gradually gets fully absorbed into the game.”

”I don’t care whether they live or die, but if they’re going to die... why can’t their deaths benefit me?”

Thus thinking, Wen Xishu decided to share his views.

[Wen Xishu: Everyone, Tam has become part of the game.]

[Ye Lingfeng: What are you talking about? Isn’t he bitten by zombies?]

[Wolf Boy: I always know more than you, but you can continue to speak.]

[Zhang Hai: Wenxun bro, tell us, what task are you up to now?]

[Kate: What do you mean? What’s becoming part of the game?]

Wen Xishu then shared his earlier speculation.

Although he didn’t know what Tam experienced, Wen Xishu was good at storytelling.

He deduced step by step from Tam’s remarks, how Tam kept getting stronger, his threshold for pleasure rising, sunk cost increasing, eventually placing himself into the game.

[Wen Xishu: Basically, it’s like this. So if you’re faced with a choice, I suggest not using assets easily. Based on my experience in Deceit Tower, its biggest feature is eeriness.

All rules feel alive. This game is the same. I don’t know your game’s direction, but mine remains post-apocalyptic survival.]

Others were silent.

Wolf Boy and Ye Lingfeng sneered at Wen Xishu’s answer.

[Ye Lingfeng: I’m now a regional distributor. All my warehouse goods are genuine, tangible.]

[Ye Lingfeng: The water I drink reduces thirst value, the food I eat reduces hunger value, I even have entertainment goods to adjust mood. You’re telling me this is fake? The game is designed to devour me? You have no clue about business.]

[Wolf Boy: You think you’re on the fifth layer, not knowing I’m in the atmosphere. You only see the surface, unaware of what I shoulder.]
