Three Towers Game

Chapter 331: Chapter 121 To Catherine_2

In short, one sentence: I’ll help you do the tasks, you give me money. What’s the money for? Of course, to save it, not spend it.

For Zhang Hai, asking him to risk his life is fine, but spending his money? No way.

Because Zhang Hai always felt that the currency in the Deceit Tower game might affect reality.

On that side, Kate was the same way, the two had mutual understanding, and Kate shared a chart.

[Kate: Brother Hai, I have a recipe here for a hand-crafted rocket launcher, just the raw materials are a bit hard to find.]

The two were currently faced with a high-level mission, to clear an area with five skulls. The recommended weapon for the task: rocket launcher.

The money the two workers saved was more than enough to buy the rocket launcher, but they wouldn’t buy it.

They both thought, either handcraft it or find a wild rocket launcher.

Wen Xishu genuinely found it amusing.

The last teammate was Blind. Blind’s mindset was collapsing.

[Blind: Are you guys lying to me? You’re all deceiving me, right? Where are the zombies?! Where’s the apocalypse? I haven’t encountered anything here! When I’m hungry, a dog brings me food, and when I’m thirsty, the idiot woman next to me suddenly stops crying and gets me water from somewhere.]

[Blind: I just want to die, why is it so hard? And you all are still deceiving me, talking about a zombie apocalypse, rocket launchers... Does this crap game even need these? Can’t I just lie down and wait for the game to end?]

Blind truly had the feeling of ”Can’t I do anything right? Can’t I even die in Deceit Tower?”

Wen Xishu found it funny but didn’t expose it.

What surprised him was that he could actually see the chats of teammates from different games.

Clearly, other team members had already moved to the new version, but he could still chat with them in the old version.

This time Wen Xishu didn’t test anymore, he already believed in the Three Towers’ memory-warping abilities.

He shifted his attention to two other people.

Tam, dead.

Tokugawa River, dead.

Dead people... can’t be resurrected, not even the Three Towers can reverse the most important rule.

”No matter what, dead is dead, even if their version’s difficulty had been reduced to the third level, if not dealt properly, they might still die.”

Thinking about this, Wen Xishu found a remote from Charles. He first removed his own electronic collar. Then he twisted off Charles’ corpse’s two hands.

To open the door to Charles’ secret room on the top floor, Charles’ fingerprints were needed.

After doing all these, Wen Xishu pushed open the door. There were no guards around.

Wen Xishu swaggered towards Charles’ room and opened the door using Charles’ fingerprints.

Charles lived in a presidential suite, and there was a computer on the coffee table in the living room.

Whether for plot needs or Charles’ confidence in the security here... he hadn’t set any password.

The apocalypse had a benefit, isolating people’s interactions, leaving almost only wireless communication.

Charles didn’t have to worry about any sudden outsider intruding here, those wealthier and more powerful than him had all gone to two distant places.

So Wen Xishu didn’t waste much effort and directly browsed the secrets of Golden Mansion.

The reason Charles bought Golden Mansion was mainly due to receiving a document early on – the Islander Suggestion.

Wen Xishu didn’t know what the term ”Islander” referred to, but fortunately, he had a consultant.

[Wen Xishu: Blind, as a war reporter, do you know what an Islander is?]

[Blind: Why am I not dead yet? Am I alive just to answer your questions?]

[Wen Xishu: Sadly, in this game, only when you regain the courage to face life can you die. But then again, if you truly find it, you wouldn’t want to die.]

[Zhang Hai: Huh, boss, did you find an Easter egg or something? How do you know this? If I want to die now, does it mean I’m invincible?]

[Wen Xishu: Probably not, the game’s observer system can surely tell if you really want to die.]

Wen Xishu didn’t care much about Zhang Hai’s change in address, after all, if he couldn’t tell who he was by now, he might as well donate his eyes to Blind.

[Blind: Such a shitty setup, why should I have the courage to face this shitty life? What kind of shit-filled brain came up with this shitty setup!]

[Wen Xishu: Can you tell me first, as a war reporter, do you know what an Islander is before your rant?]

[Blind: You’re exploiting a dying man!]

[Wen Xishu: Yes, you’re going to die anyway, could you give the information before you die? Why, do you think you’re great because you want to die?]

Perhaps Wen Xishu was too straightforward, Blind surprisingly felt rather pleased by the roast.

[Blind: You shameless creature, Islander refers to a part of the world’s wealthy who periodically go to an island to start a three-no meetings, no covering, no secrets, no self-meetings.]

[Blind: You can understand it as the rich people’s Zeus party. Only by becoming an Islander can you become truly influential, or... a plaything of influential people.]

[Blind: Islanders often get some special information. Special news.]

Wen Xishu understood.

[Wen Xishu: Alright, have a good death.]
