Three Towers Game

Chapter 318: Chapter 119: If You Can’t Even Trust Games_3

”Scorpio Knife, game... Could this level be related to Scorpio? But John can’t possibly be a Scorpio, Desire Tower is just fifteen floors, it doesn’t make sense.”

”Wait, could it be...”

Wen Xishu thought of An Rongzai once again. Through An Jincheng’s barrage, Wen Xishu had seen this scene, where An Rongzai had met with both Pisces and Scorpio.

Because of this, An Rongzai knew that doomsday would come.

And now, did the game’s author also know that doomsday was coming? And if he knew about the coming doomsday, it was because...

He was in contact with Scorpio.

Thinking of this, Wen Xishu suddenly felt everything clicked.

Scorpio was seducing a powerful master-level player, John.

Once successfully seduced, the game ”Doomsday” created by John would descend into the real world.

In this way, everything in Wind City would look just like the scenes Wen Xishu had seen in the Deceit Tower.

This was different from An Rongzai, who had no qualifications and had to acquire them through a ritual.

John was someone who inherently had qualifications and was actively recruited by Scorpio.

”So, you two don’t want me to find John because I might encounter Scorpio there?”

At this moment, Scorpio’s cheating knife and the Fake Fate Compass both moved again.

Normally speaking, these two items are inanimate and couldn’t respond, but perhaps because Scorpio had descended upon Wind City, and just so happens, Wen Xishu was at his point of descent.

Therefore, many things started becoming irrational. For instance, his own tools began to have consciousness.

Wen Xishu said:

”But I must find John. I hope you can cooperate with me, rather than staging a strike.”

No response.

This time, both the Fake Fate Compass and the Scorpio’s cheating knife seemed to have lost consciousness, remaining silent.

Wen Xishu changed his approach:

”These things fear Scorpio, so they went on strike. Another thought, perhaps Scorpio does not want to be disturbed...”

”Therefore, these tools would be disabled at this node.”

”In other words, if I do nothing... then coming up next, doomsday will descend upon this city in the form of a game.”

”I must stop Scorpio.”

Wen Xishu quickly had a plan.

The inability to use the Compass did not hinder Wen Xishu. It just added a few extra steps in his search for John.

In an alley outside an internet cafe, a young man with green hair cosplaying as a certain lost swordsman was brutally beaten by Wen Xishu, contributing a cellphone and two pieces of barrages.

From the barrages, Wen Xishu learned that the early development of ”Doomsday” seemed to be a single-player content, Wind City, though small, had many online games but no outstanding single-player games.

Earlier, people discussed ”Doomsday” as a single-player game.

But as ”Doomsday” kept getting delayed, it seemed there was a division within the team.

Wen Xishu quickly input the keywords John and Doomsday on the phone, discovering more precise information.

”The Doomsday development team has decided to turn Doomsday into an online game, having reached a cooperation agreement with Tengyi Group. They are willing to accept the guidance of the Tengyi Group’s planning team to make Doomsday the next blockbuster following League, Water’s Cold, Fantasy Journey, and Underground City.”

”Tim, a game streamer who is paralyzed and in the late stages of cancer, wishes to play the real ’Doomsday.’ John stated that he would try to make it happen during Tim’s lifetime.”

”John Leon, a member of the Doomsday development team, has been exposed as having depression.”

The latest news being that John suffers from depression, but there was no detailed report on the reason for his depression.

After browsing the information on the barrage and the phone, Wen Xishu patted the face of the green-haired young man:

”Take good advice, leave Wind City as soon as possible.”

The young man shivered, but Wen Xishu had already returned the phone to him and then disappeared quickly, starting to find the next target.

Beating to instill fear, fear to produce barrages, relying on the Wen Clan’s method of obtaining information, Wen Xishu had beaten more than a dozen people within an hour, ranging from East Road to South Road in Wind City.

In the relatively small city of Phoenix City, the random, indiscriminate information gathered from more than a dozen people was enough to piece together quite a bit of intelligence.

Wen Xishu did indeed find out John’s address, it was located in the Violet Garden District, but without a specific house number.

So, Wen Xishu began sprinting toward the Violet Garden District with a speed that the residents could not comprehend.

He was like a cheetah darting through the city, and many people noticed this scene.

People had seen runners before, but never someone running this fast, this was a first.

Upon arriving at the Violet Garden District, Wen Xishu even recognized those wearing the security uniforms.

After all, in the Deceit Tower, they had already turned into zombies. The Violet Garden District in the Desire Tower, actually didn’t have many people left by now.

And when Wen Xishu arrived at the Violet Garden District, Scorpio’s cheating knife began to tremble violently.

”Alright, I get it. Stop the warning.”

Wen Xishu was not sure if he would encounter Scorpio here. From An Jincheng’s memory, he judged that Scorpio’s appearance was that of a child.

However, whether Scorpio’s age was actually young was hard to say. Having the appearance of a child and being young in age did not conflict for those with godlike powers.

Wen Xishu began to trace backwards using the cheating knife.
