Three Towers Game

Chapter 309: Revised: Chapter 117 The Game of Swallowing Desire_6

His body began to move uncontrollably, automatically killing zombies.

During this process, Wen Xishu’s movements became exceptionally sleek, like an action movie star. He swept a group of zombies down with a leg sweep and then continuously stabbed out with a dagger, precisely hitting the zombies in the head.

His movements were quick and vicious, yet had a certain finesse, executing powerful, efficient, and silent kills —

Wen Xishu actually managed to kill all the zombies in a short time without attracting any others.

It was highly illogical. But everything just happened so naturally.

At the same time, Wen Xishu noticed several drones appearing outside the broken floor-to-ceiling windows of the Golden Mansion.

They aimed at Wen Xishu, shooting out a dozen arrows. Wen Xishu maneuvered to dodge most of them but was still hit in the shoulder by one.

At that moment, Wen Xishu’s vision began to blur.

”Damn! This game even has mandatory CG scenes.”

From the moment he lost control of his body, Wen Xishu had guessed — the plot-triggered death was coming.

He had made a choice, triggering a certain plot CG. Those beautiful kill moves just now were all part of the CG animation.

Generally, after this CG scene finished playing, he would suddenly enter the next phase.

...

...

He woke up.

Wen Xishu was not wrong.

When he opened his eyes, he was already on the sixty-fourth floor of the Golden Mansion.

It was an empty room. The only items in the room were a toilet, a bed, a mirror, and a chair; there were no other facilities.

The walls of the room were incredibly white and smooth, as if made from white jade.

”Sure enough, the mandatory plot has me captured. Great, now I’ve become a prisoner.”

Although still somewhat confused, Wen Xishu quickly understood his situation.

After being hit by the drone’s arrow, he had become a prisoner.

Simultaneously, all of Wen Xishu’s scene props — the steel pipe, the dagger, the food in his backpack, the pistol bullets — had all disappeared.

He had been changed into a set of pure white clothes that resembled a lab coat.

And what left Wen Xishu speechless the most was — there was a mechanical collar around his neck.

When he looked in the mirror, a note appeared in Wen Xishu’s eyes.

[Item Name: Obedient Zombie]

[Item Description: If you don’t obey, you’ll go — booooooom~]

Seeing this, Wen Xishu practically understood everything.

”Obedient Zombie... but I’m not a zombie, and zombies can’t obey.”

”And the title of the first task is Fight for Freedom. I seem to get it. The rich have some really twisted pleasures.”

Wen Xishu already knew what the Golden Mansion was up to.

At this moment, the door of his room suddenly opened.

”Hello, great warrior, welcome to the Golden Mansion. We are your makeup artists,” said a man in his early thirties, not very tall, sporting a mustache, and also wearing a collar around his neck.

However, the man’s clothes were a normal suit. He had a smile on his face, and behind him were two female assistants.

One of the female assistants was holding a suitcase filled with various outfits.

The other female assistant was carrying a large makeup box.

Wen Xishu spoke very kindly:

”Please come in. You’re here to make me up as a zombie, right? Welcome, welcome.”

This attitude left the makeup artist dumbfounded.

Although he was also friendly, it was a requirement from his boss, but the other’s reaction indeed surprised him.

Out of so many ”zombies” in the Golden Mansion, this one had the best attitude.

Usually, at this point, those who were captured would be very agitated and sometimes even hit him, only to be punished by the collar shortly after.

The collar could release an electric current and could also explode directly.

In general, newcomers would usually get shocked a few times before they became obedient. Even after they calmed down, they would still harbor a deep resentment.

Frankly speaking, this was the first time the makeup artist had seen someone like today’s newcomer.

Wen Xishu had already sat down on the chair, sitting very upright.

”I noticed your assistant brought a suitcase. Presumably, it’s filled with clothes, right?”

”Can I choose my own outfit?”

”Surely, if I can choose my own outfit, I can also create my own backstory, right?”

”You know, we fake zombies need to have a gimmick.”

You just said everything I was going to say...

The makeup artist remained bewildered. What was going on with today’s newcomer?

Generally, the makeup artist would make up those who were captured and tell them they could choose an outfit and create their own backstory.

For example, if you chose a police uniform, you could make up a story about being an elite officer from a small town. The more legendary the story you created, the more people would bet on you.

Some even chose a championship belt, making people think they were a professional fighting champion before becoming a zombie.

The makeup artist stepped out to check the room number. No mistake... this was a new room; he hadn’t gone to the wrong place.

But it felt as if the ”crickets” inside had been there for a long time.

Wen Xishu, and all those in the same situation, were actually ”crickets.”

The act of cricket fighting wasn’t exclusive to ancient times. Even in Wen Xishu’s previous life, there was a bunch of electronic cricket fights, with comment sections often filled with people unwilling to lose, quoting historical references, and arguing about unrealistic battle strengths.

Now, Wen Xishu clearly understood that he was the ”cricket” in this scenario.

They would make him up to look like a zombie and then duel with real zombies, providing entertainment for the wealthy.

Wen Xishu roughly guessed that once he completed this task, he would be able to uncover the true cause of the zombie outbreak from the rich people.

Honestly, he found it quite interesting. He’d seen humans fight zombies before.

But intentionally making a human look like a zombie to fight one seemed like more than just a superficial twist.

Wen Xishu urged:

”Come on in, let’s save some time. Or does the procedure require me to resist first?”

”Also, I prefer a softer makeup style. I hope the zombie makeup makes me look fierce but can still retain my handsomeness.”

”I’m sure with your expertise, that shouldn’t be a problem, right?”

The makeup artist nodded, slightly worried about the newcomer’s mental state.

The cricket had adapted too quickly, making it hard for the makeup artist to adjust.
