Medical and Martial God

Chapter 242: Chapter 242: Not Talking About Martial Virtues

”Understood!” The middle-aged man, Zhang Sheng, nodded and looked down at Ye Xiu with disdain. ”Kid, since you know Kung Fu, you should have some understanding of the Ancient Martial Circle. I won’t keep it from you—I am a Great Grandmaster. Against me, you stand no chance. You should just cut off your own hand and smash your own mouth. If I have to make a move, you’re going to suffer a lot.”

HISS!

Many in the crowd who knew a little about the Ancient Martial Circle were shocked to hear that Zhang Sheng was actually a Great Grandmaster. In their minds, a Great Grandmaster was an almost invincible existence, only slightly weaker than a War God.

Lian Zhengrong is making a Great Grandmaster deal with Ye Xiu. What a bully!

”Zhang Sheng, you bastard, what are you dawdling for? I told you to cut off his hand and ruin his mouth. Who gave you permission to let him do it himself?” Lian Zhengrong demanded angrily.

”Understood!” Zhang Sheng shrugged helplessly at Ye Xiu. ”It seems Young Master Lian wants to see you suffer, so I guess I’ll have to oblige him.”

With that, he gave Ye Xiu no further chance to speak, dashing forward and throwing a ferocious punch toward Ye Xiu’s mouth.

He didn’t use his full strength. In his view, a trivial character with some amateurish Kung Fu wasn’t worth his full effort. Moreover, if he used his full power, this single punch could kill Ye Xiu, which would completely fail to achieve Lian Zhengrong’s goal of watching Ye Xiu suffer. Still, this punch was more than enough to knock out all of Ye Xiu’s teeth.

”A so-called Great Grandmaster who doesn’t even grasp the basic principle that a lion uses its full strength even to hunt a rabbit. You’re just asking to die,” Ye Xiu sighed.

THWACK! He swung a high kick right into Zhang Sheng’s chin.

Then, Shen Monong, Lian Zhengrong, and the onlookers saw Zhang Sheng shoot up into the air like a shell.

”This...” Everyone was stunned!

A Great Grandmaster, after posturing and acting high and mighty for so long, had been sent flying by Ye Xiu with a single kick. Is this guy really a Great Grandmaster?

”You...” Shen Monong’s beautiful eyes widened as she looked at Ye Xiu in disbelief. ”Are you... are you a War God?”

In her view, only a War God possessed the strength to instantly defeat a Great Grandmaster with one move.

”No!” Ye Xiu shook his head. A War God? What a joke. I could crush one as easily as an ant.

”He’s not a War God!” Lian Zhengrong walked over, his face cold. ”When Zhang Sheng attacked him, his punch carried the power of a Fifth Grade at most. He capitalized on Zhang Sheng underestimating his opponent and launched a full-power surprise attack. His own strength must be at the Sixth or Seventh Grade.”

Shen Monong’s eyes widened in realization. So that’s how it is!

”Kid, Zhang Sheng may have underestimated you, but I won’t,” Lian Zhengrong said coldly as he walked up to Ye Xiu. ”I can tell you with all seriousness that I am an Eighth Grade Grandmaster. I won’t make Zhang Sheng’s mistake. I will use my full power.”

SMACK!

The words had barely left his mouth when Ye Xiu’s palm connected with his face, a slap so hard it lifted him off his feet and sent him crashing to the ground.

”If you want to fight, just fight. What’s with all the pointless talk?” Ye Xiu said in exasperation.

Shen Monong and the onlookers stared dumbfounded at Ye Xiu. Who does that? Sneak-attacking someone while they’re posturing? He has no martial virtue!

”Ahhh... I’ll kill you!” Lian Zhengrong lay on the ground for a moment before he recovered. Losing all reason in his fury, he roared and leaped up to kill Ye Xiu with all his might.

SMACK!

He had barely leaped to his feet, his body still unstable, when Ye Xiu slapped him back down to the ground before he could even make a move.

”Ahhh...”

Lian Zhengrong scrambled up again.

SMACK!

Ye Xiu slapped him again.

”Aaaahhhh...”

SMACK!

”Aaaahhh...”

SMACK!

After this happened several more times, Lian Zhengrong lay motionless on the ground, having been slapped back to his senses. Only then did he understand that Ye Xiu’s strength was far superior to his. He was definitely a Great Grandmaster.

PTUI! Overwhelmed with anger and frustration, Lian Zhengrong spat out a mouthful of blood.

It was supposed to be him stomping on Ye Xiu, so how did it turn into Ye Xiu stomping on him?

Lian Zhengrong felt as if he’d lost all face. After tonight, I’m going to become the laughingstock of Qingfeng Road.

”What were you saying earlier? You wanted my hand and my mouth, was it?” Ye Xiu asked, looking down expressionlessly at Lian Zhengrong on the floor.

”Don’t get so arrogant! You’ve offended the Lian family. You and your entire family can just wait to die,” Lian Zhengrong roared, his face contorted with malice as he lay on the ground.

”Before I die, I could kill you first. Do you believe that?” Ye Xiu asked.

”Gah...” Lian Zhengrong didn’t dare speak another word. He was truly afraid Ye Xiu would kill him.

”What’s wrong? Scared? Weren’t you so arrogant a moment ago?” Ye Xiu mocked.

Lian Zhengrong felt his self-esteem shatter, his dignity completely gone.

”Get up. Dance a seductive striptease for me. Now!” Ye Xiu commanded.

The onlookers buzzed with excitement. Lian Zhengrong, one of the Four Young Masters of Qingfeng Road, doing a striptease? Haha, this is going to be wild!

Shen Monong’s mouth twitched. She hadn’t expected Ye Xiu to humiliate Lian Zhengrong so publicly.

”Hurry up!” Ye Xiu urged.

”A warrior can be killed but not humiliated,” Lian Zhengrong retorted defiantly.

”Oh? Then I’ll just kill you.” Ye Xiu crouched down, grabbed Lian Zhengrong by the nape of his neck, and slowly began to tighten his grip.

”No!” Lian Zhengrong screamed. ”I’ll dance, I’ll dance!”

Ye Xiu chuckled. ”I thought you were so tough. Turns out you’re just a spineless coward.”

”You...” Lian Zhengrong was furious but dared not make any more threats. Trembling, he climbed to his feet. Suppressing his immense shame and anger, he began to dance provocatively.

He stripped as he danced. With each piece of clothing he removed, Lian Zhengrong felt a crack form in his self-esteem until, gradually, it shattered into dust.

”For an occasion like this, shouldn’t we have a drink to celebrate?” Ye Xiu asked, smiling at Shen Monong.

”What would you like to drink?” Shen Monong asked. At this moment, she was in an explosively good mood.

”Whatever,” Ye Xiu replied.

”Alright,” Shen Monong said, waving to the bartender. ”Two bottles of whiskey, please.”

The bartender and the onlookers were speechless. Her fiancé was performing a public striptease, yet his fiancée, Shen Monong, was in the mood to drink?

Lian Zhengrong was beyond furious. When I wanted to retaliate against Ye Xiu, Shen Monong pleaded for him. Now that I’m being humiliated like this, not only does she fail to speak up for me, she’s actually drinking to celebrate! This was a blatant public humiliation of him, her fiancé. When this story gets out tomorrow, countless people on Qingfeng Road will laugh their heads off!

After the waiter brought the drinks, Ye Xiu poured two full glasses. He raised his own. ”A toast to deep friendships—bottoms up!” With that, he downed his drink in a single gulp.

”Bottoms up!” Shen Monong declared. She didn’t care if she got drunk; she had come to the bar tonight specifically to drown her sorrows.
