Chapter 46: Chapter 46 Kidnapping Qin Qing

The next day!

Ye Xiu woke up at four in the morning and shook Qin Qing, who was sleeping beside him. ”Get up.”

”It’s Saturday. I don’t have to work,” Qin Qing murmured, turning over to go back to sleep.

”Didn’t you say you were going to start waking up early to practice martial arts with me?” Ye Xiu asked.

Qin Qing forced one eye open to check the time. ”Ye Xiu, have you lost your mind? It’s only four in the morning! Practice my ass...”

As she spoke, something suddenly occurred to her, and she sat up abruptly. ”During your ten years abroad, did you get up at this time every day?”

”I did,” Ye Xiu nodded.

Qin Qing fell silent. Suddenly, her heart ached for him. For the sake of revenge, his last ten years must have been even harder than she had imagined.

”Alright,” she said. ”From now on, I’ll also get up at four every morning to practice with you.”

”Then let’s get up.”

”Okay!”

When the two of them went outside, Chloe was already waiting.

”Young Madam, because this was so sudden, I haven’t prepared a suitable weapon for you. Please make do with this sword for now,” Chloe said, respectfully handing a sword to Qin Qing.

”You know martial arts, too?” Qin Qing asked in surprise.

Chloe smiled. ”A little!”

Qin Qing didn’t think much of it, assuming Chloe’s ”a little” meant just that.

”Alright, let’s begin,” Ye Xiu said, taking the sword from Chloe. ”My swordsmanship is too berserk and fierce, so it’s not suitable for you. However, I have a set of ’Phoenix Dance Nine Swords’ that I can teach you. Watch closely!”

With that, he drew his sword and began to perform the routine.

The sword techniques were fluid and graceful, flowing together seamlessly like clouds and water. It was reminiscent of a celestial phoenix soaring through the sky, and each movement was so elegant and beautiful that it looked almost like a dance.

Qin Qing immediately fell in love with this style of swordsmanship.

After finishing the demonstration, Ye Xiu said, ”Today, I’ll teach you the first sword form. This style is full of countless variations, but for this first form, I’ve deduced thirty-six of them. Once you’ve learned it, you can continue to develop more. After you’ve mastered all the techniques of the Phoenix Dance Nine Swords, I’ll pass on the method for cultivating Sword Intent.”

”Mm-hm!” Qin Qing’s eyes sparkled.

Next, Ye Xiu began teaching her, guiding her through each technique by hand. Since Qin Qing had studied Taekwondo and dance, she had some martial arts foundation and was also very flexible. Combined with her intelligence and sharp memory, she learned very quickly.

Chloe also started learning on the side. Ye Xiu was never secretive when teaching his arts, allowing anyone nearby to learn.

However, Chloe was frustrated. As an established expert, she expected to learn much faster than Qin Qing. Yet Qin Qing was simply a monster. Before Chloe could even memorize a few of the movements, Qin Qing was already able to clumsily perform all thirty-six variations of the first sword form of the Phoenix Dance Nine Swords.

As expected of the Young Master’s woman, she’s an absolute prodigy! Chloe thought in awe.

Ye Xiu hadn’t expected Qin Qing’s talent for martial arts to be so exceptional either, and he was pleasantly surprised.

”Alright, let’s stop here for now. At this rate, you’ll be able to try sparring with Chloe in three days.”

They practiced until seven. Ye Xiu wiped the sweat from Qin Qing’s face and said admiringly, ”It’s Saturday, so you don’t have work. You can practice more on your own after breakfast.”

Qin Qing tossed her head. ”Hah, I guess I really am a martial arts prodigy.” With that, she went back to her room to wash up.

Ye Xiu and Chloe exchanged wry smiles. She’s getting this cocky on her first day. If she ever actually masters it, wouldn’t her ego be out of this world?

”Tell the kitchen to serve breakfast,” Ye Xiu said, then returned to his room to wash up as well.

Chloe took out her walkie-talkie and contacted the kitchen, asking them to bring breakfast to the dining table to await the Young Master and Young Madam.

Meanwhile, a guest arrived on the neighboring island.

”Why did you drag me here so early in the morning? To admire your mansion?” Ming Yue snapped at the young man waiting at the villa’s entrance, her tone dripping with displeasure.

Even though she coveted the luxurious mansion of Tu Mountain Manor, the thought of marrying an ugly brute like Xing Haiqing, who was only good for eating, drinking, womanizing, and gambling, completely killed her mood.

”I invited you to watch a good show,” Xing Haiqing said with a smile.

”What show?” Ming Yue asked.

”Have you eaten? If not, let’s have breakfast first, then we’ll watch the show,” Xing Haiqing suggested.

Ming Yue indeed hadn’t eaten. She was about to refuse, but then it occurred to her that it might be interesting to see how Xing Haiqing’s breakfast compared to that of Ye Xiu’s Family.

So, she agreed. ”Alright, then.”

The two entered the house, washed their hands, and sat at the dining table. Xing Haiqing snapped his fingers flippantly, and a maid brought their breakfast to the table.

Ming Yue was speechless. The servants of Ye Xiu’s Family were beautiful women in their early twenties—twenty of them, from all over the world. And Xing Haiqing’s was a middle-aged woman. By comparison, the prestige of Xing Haiqing’s household was laughably low.

”Pan-fried buns, dough sticks, rice noodle rolls, soy milk made from imported soybeans, and imported milk. Eat whatever you like,” Xing Haiqing introduced proudly, as if he were presenting a rare delicacy.

Ming Yue had no appetite at all. The breakfast here was no different from what she had at home and couldn’t even begin to compare to the meals of Ye Xiu’s Family.

However, she didn’t say anything. She ate a little and then asked, ”So what is this great show you called me over to see?”

”Follow me!” Xing Haiqing wiped his mouth and stood up, walking outside.

Ming Yue followed, confused.

They climbed to the villa’s rooftop, where two telescopes were already set up. Xing Haiqing handed one to Ming Yue and pointed toward the island where Ye Xiu lived. ”Watch closely. The show is about to begin.”

Ming Yue glanced through the telescope and immediately flew into a rage. ”You called me here this early just to spy on Ye Xiu with you?”

”Patience. The real show begins after Ye Xiu has breakfast and leaves,” Xing Haiqing said mysteriously.

Ming Yue paused. A flash of insight struck her, and she asked excitedly, ”You’re planning to go after Qin Qing?”

”As expected of the woman I’ve loved since we were children. So clever!” Xing Haiqing said with admiration. ”Once we’ve kidnapped Qin Qing, how could we possibly fail to kill Ye Xiu?”

Ming Yue grew excited. She cursed herself for being so stupid. How could she not have thought of such a brilliant plan? Ye Xiu might be a powerful Great Grandmaster, but Qin Qing was just an ordinary person. If they kidnapped her, even someone as strong as Ye Xiu would have no choice but to surrender.

Ming Yue’s anticipation grew. Her mind was already racing, fantasizing about all the ways she could torment Qin Qing and Ye Xiu.

「Half an hour later!」

Ye Xiu finished his breakfast, left the house on foot, and hailed a taxi to head to Saint He Medical College for his classes.

”Ye Xiu’s gone. When are you making your move?” Ming Yue asked impatiently.

”Soon.” Xing Haiqing took out his phone and sent a text message.

Meanwhile, after finishing her breakfast, Qin Qing went outside to discuss her ideas about swordsmanship with Chloe. Qin Qing enjoyed thinking things through. In her view, whether it was for work or martial arts, thinking things through completely before putting them into practice was far more efficient than just blindly going through the motions.

This happened to coincide with Chloe’s own philosophy. The two girls found themselves in a harmonious discussion and felt an instant connection, as if regretting they hadn’t met sooner.
