Chapter 22: Chapter 22 Being Flirted With at Meal

The waiter’s expression soured. ”Miss, let’s cut the act. If you don’t show Brother Fei some respect, you won’t be able to handle the consequences.”

Just then, Brother Fei walked over, a glass in his left hand and a bottle in his right, looking like a waddling hog. He wore a confident smile, as if his personal appearance would be enough to handle Ming Yue. His table of hooligans followed, smirking as they closed in.

”Brother Fei’s making a move himself. We’re in for a good show today, boys.”

”There’s never been a woman Brother Fei wants that he can’t get.”

Seeing that a scene was brewing, the other diners began to watch with great interest. They either knew of or had heard of the infamous Brother Fei, and they all figured Ming Yue was doomed.

Seeing Brother Fei approach, Ming Yue panicked and shot Ye Xiu a desperate look. This pervert is right in front of us, at least show some backbone!

However, Ye Xiu acted as if nothing was wrong, still engrossed in the menu.

Ming Yue gasped in frustration. After witnessing Ye Xiu kill Fang Dahai and seeing his immense wealth yesterday, I thought he’d changed. I can’t believe he’s still the same spineless coward from ten years ago!

”Hello, beautiful,” Peng Fei said with a smile, stepping in front of Ming Yue. ”My name is Peng Fei, but my friends on the streets call me Brother Fei. It’s a big world. Meeting like this must be fate. How about you do me the honor of joining me for a few drinks? We can get to know each other.”

His demeanor was arrogant, his words audacious. He never once glanced at Ye Xiu, as if Ye Xiu was nothing more than air, completely incapable of stopping him from harassing Ming Yue.

Ming Yue ignored him completely. She stood up, grabbing Ye Xiu’s arm. ”Let’s eat somewhere else.”

”Thinking of leaving? I’m afraid it won’t be that easy.” The hooligans moved to block their path.

”Listen, pretty lady,” one of them sneered, ”it’s a rare honor for Brother Fei to personally offer a toast. If you refuse him, I’m afraid neither of you will be walking out of here in one piece.”

Peng Fei waved a dismissive hand, silencing his underling. He looked at Ye Xiu mockingly. ”Kid, I’ve taken a liking to your woman,” he said. ”Get lost. Don’t spoil my good mood.”

”This girl must be blind,” another hooligan chimed in, ”falling for a useless coward like you.” The others all laughed in agreement.

The other patrons looked at Ye Xiu with disdain. They couldn’t understand why any man, no matter how pathetic, wouldn’t at least say something when his woman was being bullied. This loser hadn’t dared to utter a single word from start to finish. He was utterly worthless.

Just then, Ye Xiu sighed. In the next instant, his leg blurred in a high kick that connected squarely with Peng Fei’s chin.

ARGHH...!

The man, who weighed well over two hundred pounds, screamed as he flew through the air in a perfect arc. He landed five meters away, crashing through a dining table and sending shards of porcelain and cutlery flying everywhere.

Ye Xiu walked over expressionlessly and looked down at the sprawling Peng Fei. ”Why is it so hard to have a peaceful meal?” he asked. ”Isn’t being alive nice? Why are you so determined to die?”

A collective gasp went through the restaurant, followed by dead silence. Everyone stared in shock, their gazes flickering between Ye Xiu and Peng Fei, who lay amidst the wreckage. To send a man of over two hundred pounds flying five meters with a single kick... Just how strong was he?!

A smile bloomed on Ming Yue’s face. Looks like Ye Xiu really has changed. He’s no longer the wimp and coward he used to be. She wasn’t surprised by his strength, having already witnessed his prowess at the cemetery the day before.

”Son of a bitch, you dare hit me?” Peng Fei roared, scrambling to his feet. His face was a mask of fury as he yelled at his underlings, ”What the hell are you waiting for, an invitation? Get him!”

His men let out ferocious roars and charged at Ye Xiu.

Seeing this, Ming Yue’s anticipation grew. Yesterday at the cemetery, he only faced Fang Dahai and two bodyguards. But now there are eight of them, including the waiter! If Ye Xiu can’t beat them, he’ll surely be beaten half to death. Not that I need to worry about my own safety if he loses. As long as I reveal my identity, I bet Peng Fei won’t dare to touch me.

Meanwhile, the diners were thrilled. Never expecting such a dramatic show with their lunch, they eagerly abandoned their tables and retreated to the corners to watch.

However, to everyone’s utter astonishment, the fight was over before it began. Ye Xiu’s legs were a blur, each kick finding a target. One by one, he sent the waiter and the seven hooligans flying. It was ridiculously easy, like kicking aside eight soccer balls.

Ming Yue was stunned. Peng Fei was dumbfounded. The diners were all completely flabbergasted. No one could have imagined Ye Xiu would be so terrifyingly powerful. He had taken down eight men in seconds, and not a single one had even managed to touch the hem of his shirt.

”Kid, you’re finished!” the waiter yelled, struggling back to his feet. ”Brother Fei works for Meng Shaoxiong! You hit him, so Meng Shaoxiong won’t let you off the hook!”

Upon hearing the name Meng Shaoxiong, Ming Yue’s heart leaped with joy. Ye Xiu has offended Meng Shaoxiong! Now the Ming Family won’t even have to act. Meng Shaoxiong will take care of him completely.

The diners stared at Peng Fei in shock. None of them had known the infamous Brother Fei was actually one of Meng Shaoxiong’s men. Now Ye Xiu was truly done for. Everyone knew that no one who crossed Meng Shaoxiong ever met a good end.

Feeling the diners’ awe-filled gazes, Peng Fei’s confidence returned. He rubbed his jaw, which was still aching from the kick, and sneered, ”Kid, you’re in deep trouble now! On this turf, in all of Gusu City, there aren’t many who dare to oppose Brother Xiong.

”If you cut off one of your own hands and hand your woman over to me for a few days of fun, I might be willing to forget about that kick.

”But if you insist on being stubborn, I’ll report this to Brother Xiong. Then all you can do is wait to die.”

Hearing Peng Fei demand that Ye Xiu chop off his own hand, Ming Yue had to suppress a laugh. She feigned concern and said, ”Don’t do anything rash! I’ll call the Patrol Officers!”

”Call the Patrol Officers? HAHAHAHA...” Peng Fei laughed maniacally. ”Everyone knows what kind of business Brother Xiong is in, and so do the Patrol Officers. But isn’t he still living well and free? To make an arrest, they need evidence. Brother Xiong’s work is always flawless. The Patrol Officers will never find anything.”

Hearing this, Ming Yue relaxed completely. Perfect. Ye Xiu is absolutely doomed this time.

Ye Xiu noticed the look on her face and was puzzled. I caused such a commotion by beating Meng Zi’an at the Qin Corporation yesterday. How could the Ming Family possibly not know about my ’relationship’ with Meng Shaoxiong? Fine. I’ll treat this as a trump card and let Ming Yue see it for herself.

He walked up to Peng Fei, casually hoisting a chair. ”Call Meng Shaoxiong. Now,” he said. ”If you don’t, I’ll smash your head in.”
