Chapter 24: Chapter 24: Targeted by a Wealthy Woman

After hearing Zhu Xiaowen’s analysis, Ye Xiu wanted to argue. But on second thought, he realized he really was unemployed. Even if her analysis was wrong, that fact remained. What the hell is there to refute?

”You see? I guessed right, didn’t I?” Noticing the look on Ye Xiu’s face, Zhu Xiaowen said smugly, ”How about this? From now on, you hang out with me and Yun Lan. We’ll give you 20,000 a month in spending money and arrange a place for you to stay. What do you think?”

”Twenty thousand is too little. Make it thirty thousand,” Yun Lan said. ”As long as you agree, we’ll treat you to the finest delicacies and let you live the high-society life you’ve never even dared to dream of.”

Ye Xiu glanced from Yun Lan to Zhu Xiaowen.

Oh! These two girls want to keep me!

He asked, ”That 30,000 a month you mentioned, does that include payment for sleeping with you?”

Yun Lan and Zhu Xiaowen exchanged a look; they hadn’t expected Ye Xiu to be so direct. Although that was indeed their intention, how could they say it outright?

So Zhu Xiaowen said, ”You misunderstood. We’re giving you money just so you’ll hang out with us...”

”No sleeping, no deal,” Ye Xiu said, turning to walk away.

Yun Lan and Zhu Xiaowen were stunned speechless. Seeing his refined, scholarly, and artistic demeanor, combined with his shyness, they had assumed he was a thoroughly decent and honest man. That was why they hadn’t dared to mention things like being a kept man or sleeping together, which might have hurt his pride.

”We’ll sleep with you! We will!” Zhu Xiaowen grabbed Ye Xiu, saying happily, ”Look, just treat me and Yun Lan as your girlfriends. You can do whatever you want, and you’ll still get 30,000 a month.”

Yun Lan added, ”Don’t worry, we won’t interfere with your personal life. Just be available when we need you.”

The two of them gazed at Ye Xiu expectantly, their eyes filled with desire.

The intensity of their gazes embarrassed Ye Xiu. He had just been killing time by chatting with two beautiful women and somehow ended up in this situation. How am I supposed to refuse this?

”Actually, I’m married...” Ye Xiu said honestly.

”Don’t worry, we won’t tell your wife. Our relationship will be an under-the-table arrangement,” Zhu Xiaowen said slyly.

They’re okay with that?

”Is your wife as pretty and sexy as we are?” Yun Lan asked. ”Think about it. You could earn 30,000 a month and have two gorgeous lovers—a fantasy most men wouldn’t even dare to dream of.”

Heh! Now they’re actually trying to persuade me!

”By sticking with us, you can enter the true elite circle of Jin Ye City and see what those rich young masters and heiresses get up to,” Zhu Xiaowen tempted. ”For instance, there’s a party tonight that many of them will attend. Also, Ye Xuan, the young master of the Ye Family from Yunluo City, is arriving in Jin Ye City this evening and will be at the party too.”

Ye Xuan?

Upon hearing the name, Ye Xiu was intrigued. He had long expected that the Ye Family wouldn’t give up on bringing him back. Since he had disabled the Butler and two bodyguards, he figured the family would thoroughly investigate him before sending anyone else.

I didn’t expect them to send people so soon. It seems that old beast is getting desperate!

”What time does the party start tonight? And where is it?” Ye Xiu asked.

Seeing his interest, Yun Lan and Zhu Xiaowen were thrilled. We’re going to have some fun tonight!

Yun Lan said, ”It’s at nine o’clock tonight, at Zhu Xiaowen’s house.”

”Where does Zhu Xiaowen live?” Ye Xiu asked.

”Tu Mountain Manor... You’ve probably never been to a top-tier mansion like that. I bet once you go, you’ll never want to leave,” Yun Lan said with a smile.

Ye Xiu chuckled. My home is in Tu Mountain Manor too.

「...」

Ye Xiu went to Zhulu Group to pick up Qin Qing, and then the two of them drove to her grandparents’ home. From a distance, they could see the Qin Family waiting at the entrance, craning their necks in anticipation.

”They’re here, they’re here!”

Seeing Qin Qing’s car, Qin Fugui’s old face flushed with joy. The other members of the Qin Family were also ecstatic.

Once the car stopped and Ye Xiu and Qin Qing got out, the Qin Family swarmed them, fussing over them with utter enthusiasm. This scene was in stark contrast to the one from yesterday when Qin Qing had been ousted from the Qin Family.

”My good son-in-law, you’re finally here! Your grandma has already prepared the food. Come in, come in...” Qin Fugui said with a kindly expression, grabbing Ye Xiu’s hand.

”Brother-in-law, Grandma spent all afternoon preparing for you. She cooked a whole feast,” said Qin Qing’s cousin, Qin Junyi.

”Oh, Qin Qing really married a good man. My Anruo isn’t so lucky,” Qin Qing’s aunt, He Qing, said sycophantically.

The other members of the Qin Family crowded around Ye Xiu, bombarding him with one sickeningly sweet phrase after another. Watching this, Qin Qing felt very happy, even though she knew her family’s enthusiasm toward Ye Xiu was purely for money.

Upon entering the house, Qin Qing’s grandmother approached with a kind face and grabbed Ye Xiu’s hand. ”Little Ye, come and see all the delicious dishes Grandma has prepared for you.”

She then pulled Ye Xiu to the dining table. ”Here, take this seat.”

”No, no!” Ye Xiu quickly refused. ”How could a junior like me sit at the head of the table? Grandpa should sit here.”

”Alright, we’ll do as you say,” Grandma said cheerfully.
