Medical and Martial God

Chapter 27: Chapter 27: The Divine Leg

At these words, the entire room struggled to contain their laughter. The infamous Young Master of the Ye Family, Ye Xuan, had such juicy gossip about him?

Gossip! What juicy gossip!

Noticing everyone’s expressions as they tried to stifle their laughter, Ye Xuan exploded with rage.

Ten years ago, when Ye Xiu returned to the Ye Family, he must have done something to Ye Xuan, causing him to wet the bed until he was eighteen. Even now, he couldn’t control his bladder. If he felt the urge, he had to relieve himself immediately, or he would certainly wet his pants.

This secret was his absolute taboo! And now Ye Xiu has announced it to everyone! He’s clearly doing this to destroy my image and embarrass me!

”It seems you’re well aware there’s no escaping me, so you’re trying to get a cheap shot with your words!” Ye Xuan said, suppressing the impulse to throttle Ye Xiu and forcing himself to remain calm. ”But have you considered that for publicly humiliating me, with my temper, I could kill you?”

”You’re welcome to try,” Ye Xiu sneered.

”No rush. We’ll talk after you’ve cured Wangcai,” Ye Xuan said, taking out a cigarette. He placed it in his mouth, lit it, and took a deep drag, adopting the demeanor of a cat toying with a mouse.

The exchange between Ye Xiu and Ye Xuan had everyone in the room buzzing with excitement.

Gossip! Another huge scoop!

Everyone had heard the story. Ye Xuan’s father had a mistress, and because of her, he cast Ye Xiu and his mother out of the Ye Family. Ten years ago, Ye Xiu claimed the title of Medicine King and returned to the Ye Family, only to be relentlessly humiliated by Ye Xuan and his mother before being cast out again. Everyone had feasted on that juicy story back in the day, so they were all well aware of the feud between Ye Xiu and Ye Xuan.

Now that Ye Xiu and Ye Xuan had met here, sparks were sure to fly. It wouldn’t be surprising if Ye Xiu met his end here tonight.

”I’ll give you a chance,” Ye Xiu offered kindly. ”While I’m treating Wangcai, you should run. You might actually get away.”

”Let me run? Hahahahaha...” Ye Xuan laughed uproariously as if he had just heard the funniest joke in the world. ”Big brother, has something gone wrong with your head? Do I need to run? You’re the one who should be running!”

The rich young masters and ladies also laughed along, thinking Ye Xiu had gone mad for saying such things to Ye Xuan. He clearly has no idea of his own limitations.

Ye Xiu ignored Ye Xuan and focused on treating Wangcai. If Ye Xuan didn’t want the chance to escape, that suited him just fine.

Soon, under Ye Xiu’s dazzling array of movements, Wangcai not only stopped shivering and foaming at the mouth but also stood up as if nothing had ever been wrong.

”Thank you, thank you! You truly are a Divine Doctor...” Wangcai flexed his limbs, feeling better than ever and filled with a seemingly endless supply of energy.

Everyone in the room drew a sharp, collective breath.

They had long heard that Ye Xiu’s medical skills were the best in history, but they hadn’t expected them to be *this* amazing. He hadn’t used any medical equipment, not even a single Silver Needle. He had cured Wangcai just by poking him with his fingers. The level of his medical skill was nothing short of a miracle!

”It seems your medical skills haven’t gotten rusty over time,” Ye Xuan sneered, his tone and gaze filled with envy and jealousy.

”They have a little. For instance, I’ve forgotten how to cure bed-wetting,” Ye Xiu replied, walking over to a table laden with various liquors and pouring himself a glass of red wine.

”You...” Ye Xuan was so angry he nearly wet himself. He said coldly, ”You provoke me so recklessly. Aren’t you afraid I’ll actually kill you?”

”Bring it on,” Ye Xiu replied contemptuously after taking a sip of his wine.

”You’re asking for it!”

Ye Xuan flew into a rage and looked as if he was about to strike.

However, he was stopped by Yue Chengfeng, who was holding a sword. ”Young Master, dealing with trash like Ye Xiu isn’t worth our effort.”

”That’s true!” Ye Xuan shrugged and snapped his fingers nonchalantly.

Instantly, a group of bodyguards in tight tank tops and black leather boots rushed out from the darkness. Each one was burly with a sharp gaze, obviously a skilled fighter. Ye Xiu counted them—a full one hundred!

Ha! The Ye Family really doesn’t do things by halves! To think they sent so many people just to catch me.

”I’ll give you one last chance,” Ye Xuan threatened, suppressing the urge to order Ye Xiu beaten to death. ”If you kneel and lick my shoes clean, then obediently follow me back to the Ye Family, I can let you off without a beating. Otherwise... hmph, fists and kicks don’t have eyes.”

His mission was to bring Ye Xiu home to treat his father, not to kill him.

”Ye Xiu, I’ve seen the injuries on the butler and the two bodyguards you disabled yesterday,” Yue Chengfeng said, adopting the condescending air of a master giving pointers. ”Your strength is quite impressive for an ordinary person, and you’re quite strong. But you are now facing one hundred bodyguards, every single one of them as strong as the two you disabled yesterday. There is no way you can beat them. I advise you to do as the Young Master says. Otherwise, you’ll get a beating for nothing and still end up being dragged back to the Ye Family.”

Zhu Xiaowen came over to persuade him. ”You need to learn to assess the situation. You can’t handle this alone. Stop being so stubborn.”

Yun Lan also chimed in, ”Fists and kicks don’t have eyes, and it’s dark out. If one of them accidentally hits a vital spot, it’ll be too late for regrets. Just go back to Yunluo City with Ye Xuan obediently.”

Their pleas were remarkably sincere. Although they knew no good would come of Ye Xiu returning to the Ye Family with Ye Xuan, it was still better than getting beaten up first and then dragged away.

”The fight hasn’t even started, and you’ve already decided I’ll lose?” Ye Xiu scoffed.

Zhu Xiaowen and Yun Lan rolled their eyes. One versus one hundred—even an idiot can see how this will end!

”Don’t bother with him. Since he wants a beating, I’ll oblige,” Ye Xuan said, his patience worn thin. He waved his hand and commanded, ”Get him! Just don’t hit his hands or his head. Anywhere else is fair game, and you can hit as hard as you want.”

Ye Xiu’s hands and head were still needed for medical treatment; they couldn’t be damaged.

WHOOSH!

Upon receiving the command, the hundred bodyguards already surrounding Ye Xiu charged at him like madmen.

These guards were not from the Ye Family. Rather, Ye Xuan had hired them at great expense from the Jin Ding Security company in Jin Ye City. It had been previously announced that each man would get 10,000, with an extra 10,000 for every blow they landed on Ye Xiu.

For the money, the hundred bodyguards went berserk, each one scrambling over the others in the hope of landing a few extra blows on Ye Xiu.

Seeing this, Zhu Xiaowen and Yun Lan hurriedly retreated to the side, secretly regretting their attempt to help. The rest of the onlookers’ faces were flushed with the excitement of the spectacle. Witnessing Medicine King Xuanse taking a beating was something they could brag about for the rest of their lives.

”Bring it on!”

As the bodyguards charged, Ye Xiu’s fighting spirit fully erupted. He took a sip of wine and, with a THUD, planted a kick squarely on the face of the first bodyguard to reach him. The man flew backward instantly, knocking down several others in his path.

Next, Ye Xiu moved like a tiger among sheep. With the wine glass still in his hand, his legs lashed out like blades. Any bodyguard who dared approach was sent flying with a single, powerful kick.

”Holy shit!”

Zhu Xiaowen and Yun Lan were stunned. Ye Xuan, Yue Chengfeng, and everyone else present were equally shocked by Ye Xiu’s strength.

This was completely different from what they’d imagined! The man who was supposed to get beaten to a pulp was instead thrashing one hundred bodyguards! It was a complete rout! Is he even human? And what’s with kicking everyone in the face? Does he have some kind of divine, face-wrecking kick?
