Medical and Martial God

Chapter 4: Chapter 4: Explosive Output, High-Profile Return

The head of security and his guards were stunned. Not only had Young Master Meng been beaten, but the incident had also alerted the CEO.

Ye Xiu is dead this time! The head of security knew full well what a heavyweight Young Master Meng’s father was. To appease him after this incident, Qin Qing would surely punish Ye Xiu severely.

Upon seeing Qin Qing, Young Master Meng was overjoyed and immediately commanded, ”Qin Qing, you’ve come at the perfect time. Kill him for me, or else...”

He intended to threaten Qin Qing into ordering the security guards to teach Ye Xiu a lesson, but before he could finish his sentence, he saw Qin Qing laughing joyfully as she ran over and leaped onto Ye Xiu. She wrapped her legs around his waist and began devouring his face with kisses.

”Haha, you’re finally back...” she laughed.

After ten long years, Ye Xiu’s appearance, temperament, and physique had all changed significantly. Despite that, Qin Qing recognized him at a glance!

This is my man! The man who haunted my dreams every night for ten years. I can’t be mistaken!

This scene struck Young Master Meng like a bolt from the blue. His face burned as if he’d just been slapped. He had thought Qin Qing rushed over to back him up, but it turned out she had come for Ye Xiu.

The head of security’s mind was buzzing. He had thought sucking up to Young Master Meng would earn him some benefits, but instead, he had just completely torpedoed his own career! It’s over, it’s all over! I’m going to be unemployed!

Meanwhile, the secretary and company executives who had rushed over were utterly stunned at the sight of Qin Qing pecking at Ye Xiu’s face like a woodpecker.

Is this really our cold, decisive, and perpetually stern-faced CEO? She’s acting like a delusional teenage girl! We must be seeing a fake CEO!

Then their attention was drawn to Ye Xiu’s face, which completely contradicted their image of a ”greasy middle-aged man” or ”ragged beggar.”

This is clearly a handsome young man! What the hell? Did Ye Xiu spend the last ten years in the entertainment industry or something?

”Hey, hey, watch your image. A lot of people are watching,” Ye Xiu said, blushing, caught completely off guard by Qin Qing’s kisses.

”Let them be jealous!” Qin Qing didn’t care what anyone else thought and continued to kiss him fervently. As she kissed him, she began to cry. The decade of suppressed longing and feigned strength, in this single moment, completely collapsed. She burst into loud, heart-wrenching sobs.

Ye Xiu said nothing more, simply holding Qin Qing tightly, his heart filled with a storm of emotions.

After a long while, Qin Qing jumped down from Ye Xiu, wiped away her tears, and said, ”Come with me!”

”Where to?” Ye Xiu asked.

”To get our marriage certificate!” Qin Qing declared, pulling Ye Xiu toward the exit.

”Stop!” Young Master Meng shouted, his expression ferocious. ”Qin Qing, am I invisible to you?”

Qin Qing paused and turned to look at him. ”And you are?”

Meng Zi’an was livid. ”I’m Meng Zi’an.”

Qin Qing drew a sharp breath. ”Who beat you into this sorry state?”

”You...” Utterly humiliated by Qin Qing’s blatant insults, Meng Zi’an felt his head spin. He took a deep breath, pointed at Ye Xiu, and said to Qin Qing, ”He’s responsible for all these injuries. Don’t you owe me some form of satisfaction?”

”What kind of satisfaction do you want?” Qin Qing asked coolly.

”Make him kneel and kowtow to me three times, then chop off one of his hands,” Meng Zi’an said cruelly.

At his words, everyone present held their breath, waiting for Qin Qing’s decision. They were sure she would agree. After all, Meng Zi’an was only asking for one of Ye Xiu’s hands, which was merciful. Given the power of the Meng Family, taking Ye Xiu’s life would be effortless.

Ye Xiu watched Qin Qing with a faint smile, curious to see what she would decide. Is she still as unyielding as she was all those years ago?

”And what if I say no?” Qin Qing asked.

”Ha...” Meng Zi’an sneered. ”Then tomorrow morning, someone will find both of your corpses floating in the Chi Li River. You know damn well the Meng Family can make that happen.”

SLAP!

Qin Qing suddenly slapped Meng Zi’an across the face. Her own expression turned icy once more, her eyes boring into him like daggers. ”Over the past ten years, many people have wanted me dead. I don’t mind adding one more to the list. Go back and tell your father I’ll be waiting for him to come and kill me.”

Ye Xiu’s eyes lit up. This girl hasn’t changed a bit!

Meng Zi’an and everyone else present were collectively staggered. No one had expected Qin Qing to make such a decision. Only a few high-level executives who knew of her history with Ye Xiu were unsurprised. Back when the entire world was Ye Xiu’s enemy, Qin Qing had stood by him without a second thought. The Meng Family alone was hardly enough to shake a decade of unwavering devotion.

”Good. Very good. Since you both want to die, I’ll grant your wish,” Meng Zi’an spat, his expression vicious. He turned to leave but was stopped by Ye Xiu.

”Did I say you could go?” Ye Xiu asked.

A flicker of panic shot through Meng Zi’an, but he put on a brave front. ”You might not know who my dad is, but Qin Qing and everyone here does. You dare touch me again? I guarantee you won’t see tomorrow’s sunrise.”

Ye Xiu turned to Qin Qing. ”Who’s his dad?”

Qin Qing explained, ”Meng Zi’an’s father, Meng Shaoxiong, started out as a local thug. He built his fortune through loan sharking, underground casinos, and other illegal ventures. After making a name for himself, he started getting into construction contracts and real estate. Now, he’s the chairman of the Jingtian Group.”

She paused, her tone growing grave. ”The Meng Family’s influence is immense. No one who offends them ever meets a good end. The people who have tried to kill me over the last ten years have all acted from the shadows. But the Meng Family is different. They’ll come at us openly.”

As Qin Qing finished, everyone turned to look at Ye Xiu with mocking expressions. Before, he didn’t know how powerful Meng Zi’an’s backing was, so he was brave enough to hit him. Now that he knows, he’ll probably wet himself with fear.

Meng Zi’an thought so too. He sneered, ”Scared now, are we, boy? How about this? Kneel and kowtow to me one hundred times, chop off your hand, and let Qin Qing spend a night with me. Do that, and I’ll spare you both. Otherwise...”

”Otherwise what?”

Ye Xiu suddenly snatched Meng Zi’an by the neck and, with immense force, flung him through the air. He flew sideways for several meters before slamming into a lobby pillar. He coughed up a great mouthful of blood and collapsed to the floor.

The entire hall erupted in shock. Everyone was stunned by Ye Xiu’s strength. To throw a man that far with one hand was simply inhuman.

A sharp light glinted in Qin Qing’s beautiful eyes. A moment ago, she had been wondering why he was acting so differently. After ten years abroad, he had returned with a high-profile appearance at the Qin Corporation, publicly thrashing Meng Zi’an. He was a completely different person from the Ye Xiu of ten years ago. Now I understand! He came back prepared! He’s using Meng Zi’an to send a high-profile message to everyone in Jin Ye City: Ye Xiu is back for revenge!

”Having a gangster for a father has made you this arrogant? If you were my son, you’d probably think you owned the heavens,” Ye Xiu said coldly, walking over and stepping on Meng Zi’an’s head. ”Call your dad. Tell him to bring his men—the more, the better. If I don’t see him within the hour, I’m twisting your head off.”

Ye Xiu was back for revenge and didn’t want to waste time on side issues. Since he had confirmed the Meng Family was a threat, he might as well eliminate it now.

Meng Zi’an lay on the ground, feeling as if all his bones were shattered. At that moment, the terror in his heart completely overshadowed the pain in his body. He fumbled for his phone with a trembling hand and dialed his father, Meng Shaoxiong.

”Dad, I’ve been beaten up at the Qin Corporation! Hurry and bring people over...”
