Medical and Martial God

Chapter 3: Chapter 3 The Legendary Figure of That Year Has Returned

The youth didn’t hear Ye Xiu. A sharp ringing from the slap had left him temporarily deaf. It took a long moment for him to process what had happened, and then he exploded with rage.

”You dare hit me? I’ll fucking kill you...”

He scrambled up and charged toward Ye Xiu!

From the youth’s perspective, he had only been slapped because he never imagined Ye Xiu would dare to make a move. In a real fight, Ye Xiu was definitely no match for him. After all, two years of Taekwondo weren’t for nothing.

However...

SMACK!

With another casual slap from Ye Xiu, the youth was sprawled on the ground again, completely dumbfounded.

He’s this powerful?

As a trained fighter, the youth knew with certainty that the speed of Ye Xiu’s last slap was something only a master could achieve.

”Good one, kid. In my entire life, no one’s ever laid a hand on me. You’re finished!”

Confirming he couldn’t beat Ye Xiu, the youth played his trump card—his background. ”Kid, you probably don’t know who I am, do you? My dad is the chairman of the Jingtian Group...”

SMACK!

Ye Xiu’s slap cut him off.

Is being the chairman of the Jingtian Group really that impressive? I’m Huang Quan, and have I ever bragged about it?

”You... you, you...”

The youth was stunned that Ye Xiu still dared to hit him after he had revealed his background. Furious, he screamed at the security guard who was watching the spectacle. ”Are you fucking blind? Didn’t you see me get hit? Hurry up and kill him for me!”

The security guard felt a headache coming on. He was having the worst luck of his life to get caught up in something like this. He hurried over and scolded Ye Xiu, ”Apologize to Young Master Meng right now! I’m telling you, if you piss off Young Master Meng, by tomorrow morning you’ll be a floating corpse in the Chi Li River.”

Ye Xiu was left speechless. How could these two be so idiotic?

What is wrong with them? Did they flunk out of kindergarten?

”Don’t waste time talking to him,” Young Master Meng urged impatiently. ”Kill him now, or I’ll kill you.”

The security guard shuddered. Young Master Meng had pushed him into a corner. He had to get revenge for him, even if it cost him his job. Otherwise, the young master wouldn’t let him off easy.

”Watch closely, Young Master Meng!” The security guard swung a rubber baton toward Ye Xiu’s head.

Seeing this, Young Master Meng smiled cruelly. You dare slap me? Just wait until you get your head bashed in! The security guards of the Qin Corporation are all highly-trained professionals from a proper security firm!

However, in the next moment, the smile froze on his face.

He watched as Ye Xiu simply lifted his leg and sent the security guard flying with a single kick. The so-called expert from a professional security firm was utterly weak before him.

”You really are asking to die, aren’t you?” Ye Xiu said, his face cold as he strode toward Young Master Meng.

”Stay back! Don’t come over here...”

Sitting on the ground, Young Master Meng finally panicked. He had never in his life met someone as ruthless and quiet as Ye Xiu, a man of brutal action and few words.

As Ye Xiu approached, Young Master Meng shuffled backward on the ground, shouting, ”Stay back!” before scrambling to his feet to flee. But Ye Xiu sent him tumbling with a kick.

”Thinking of running now? Too late!”

Ye Xiu leaped up and kicked Young Master Meng again, sending him sprawling face-first. He then pinned the youth to the ground and began to beat him relentlessly.

After being sent flying, the security guard coughed up a mouthful of blood. Before he could even register his shock at Ye Xiu’s power, he heard Young Master Meng’s pig-like squeals of pain.

This terrified the guard.

Ye Xiu is going to beat him to death!

He fumbled for his walkie-talkie to call for backup. At this point, all he could do was pray that reinforcements would arrive before Ye Xiu could kill Young Master Meng.

...

In the conference room, Qin Qing and the company’s senior executives were in a meeting. The secretary knocked before entering. ”President, you have a visitor.”

”Do they have an appointment?” Qin Qing asked. Her face, seemingly carved by God himself, was exquisite and flawless. It held no warmth, yet its beauty was still so stunning it made the secretary feel inadequate.

”No, but he asked the front desk to give this to you. He said that once you saw it, you would know who he is.” The secretary held out a Thousand Paper Crane to Qin Qing, trying her best not to stare at her boss’s face.

”This...” Upon seeing the Thousand Paper Crane, Qin Qing’s expression went blank for a second. Then, she shot to her feet. ”Where is he?”

This stunned the secretary and everyone else in the conference room. They had never seen Qin Qing lose her composure like this.

The secretary quickly replied, ”At the front desk.”

Qin Qing turned and bolted from the room.

”President, where are you going?” someone called out.

Running toward the door, Qin Qing glanced back over her shoulder with a radiant smile. ”I’m going to give myself to him!”

With that smile, it was as if the entire world had lit up.

Qin Qing... smiled? It turned out the president could actually smile!

For the secretary and most of the people in the meeting room, it was the first time they had ever seen Qin Qing smile.

”What’s happened to the president?” the secretary asked in shock.

”Ye Xiu must be back!” the vice president declared with absolute certainty. ”You all might not know this, but the president was a lively, cheerful girl who loved to laugh when she was young. Ever since Ye Xiu disappeared ten years ago, she hasn’t smiled once. For her to lose her composure like this, there can be only one explanation: Ye Xiu has returned.”

”Ye Xiu? That name sounds familiar.”

”You mean that disgrace to the medical community from ten years ago?”

”Yes, that’s him.”

”Quick, let’s go see!”

Instantly, the secretary and all the executives scrambled out of the room. Ten years ago, Ye Xiu had been at the peak of his fame, considered the most dazzling young man in the country. Now that the opportunity was here, they were all desperate to see what the legend looked like. After a decade, what had he become?

Could he have turned into a greasy middle-aged man, or maybe a scruffy beggar?

...

The head of the security department, after receiving the call for help, rushed to the first-floor lobby with every security guard in the Qin Corporation. When they saw Ye Xiu beating Young Master Meng, their faces drained of color.

Damn, does this kid have a death wish? He even dares to hit Young Master Meng! He’s clearly tired of living!

”Stop!” the head of security bellowed.

Ye Xiu stopped and turned to him. ”What’s up?”

The head of security nearly spat out a mouthful of blood. Why the hell do you think I told you to stop? Don’t you have a clue?

”Kill him! Kill him for me!” Young Master Meng shrieked, scrambling to his feet as if he’d seen his savior.

”Don’t worry, Young Master Meng. I’ll be sure to settle this for you,” the head of security promised. After a quick mental calculation, he figured that helping Young Master Meng was a surefire win. He turned to Ye Xiu and roared, ”You dare to hit Young Master Meng? Do you have a death wish? Get over here, kneel, and apologize to him now!”

Ye Xiu frowned. ”Aren’t you going to ask why I hit him?”

”It doesn’t matter why! The moment you hit Young Master Meng, you were in the wrong,” the head of security stated with irrational arrogance. ”Apologize immediately, or don’t blame me for what happens next.”

Ye Xiu sighed. Another one who went straight into the workforce after kindergarten. He asked, ”I’m a friend of Qin Qing’s. Is this really the right attitude to take with me?”

”You? A friend of the president? Pah...” The head of security spat on the ground in contempt. ”Why don’t you take a good look at yourself? Your whole outfit isn’t worth a hundred bucks. How could our president possibly have a friend like you?”

At that moment, Young Master Meng grew impatient. ”What are you wasting time talking for? Just kill him already!”

”Yes, yes!” The head of security nodded obsequiously. Not daring to waste another moment, he ordered his guards, ”Get him! Beat him until Young Master Meng is satisfied!”

”Yes, sir!”

At the command, the guards, who were already poised to attack, surged forward.

Seeing this, Young Master Meng laughed cruelly. No matter how strong Ye Xiu was, there was no way he could fight dozens of men.

As the guards charged, Ye Xiu felt a major headache coming on.

Why are there so many idiots in this world with a death wish?

Oh well. Since I have nothing better to do, I might as well ’train’ these morons for Qin Qing.

”Stop!”

Just as Ye Xiu was about to move, a sharp voice yelled out.

The guards rushing toward Ye Xiu immediately halted and looked toward the sound.

Ye Xiu, the head of security, and Young Master Meng also turned. They saw it was Qin Qing.

Ye Xiu’s eyes lit up. He hadn’t seen her in ten years, and she had grown into such a beauty.

Wow! It’s been a decade. Will she even recognize me?
