Medical and Martial God

Chapter 37: Chapter 37: The Biggest Secret

Ye Xiu hadn’t planned to deal with Zheng Yiwen so soon. As the ultimate mastermind, she should have been saved for last. But since Zheng Yiwen had shown up, Ye Xiu had no choice but to take care of her first!

”I... I, I... I’ve made my choice...” Li Bingliang stammered fearfully.

SLAP!

Ye Xiu slapped him across the face. ”Choose my ass!”

With that, he walked out.

Li Bingliang was completely baffled by the slap. What’s going on? Why isn’t he dealing with me? No! I’ve already been dealt with! Hasn’t the Li Family and Ruiding Pharmaceuticals already been destroyed?

After leaving the hospital room, Ye Xiu saw Ming Yue slumped by the door, her delicate body trembling and her face pale.

He sneered inwardly. In truth, destroying the Li Family and Ruiding Pharmaceuticals was a message for the Ye Family and Ming Yue. Witnessing this, Ming Yue and the Ming Family would be plunged into endless fear, a fear that would last until he finally made his move against them.

”What’s wrong? Are you feeling unwell?” Ye Xiu asked, feigning ignorance and concern.

”Ah?” Ming Yue snapped out of her panic. ”Um... my stomach hurts.”

”Here, let me rub it for you.”

Ye Xiu squatted down and began to gently rub her stomach. ”Feeling better?”

”Much better!”

Ming Yue’s face flushed as he touched her. But for some reason, after he rubbed her stomach a few times, the fear in her heart had lessened significantly.

”Come on, let’s walk around a bit,” Ye Xiu said.

”Oh, okay!” Ming Yue obediently agreed.

Ming Yue was deeply puzzled. If Ye Xiu knew that Jinding Pharmaceuticals was one of the masterminds, how could he not know about the Ming Family? It just doesn’t make any sense.

While she pondered this, they walked out of the hospital building. They saw Yue Chengfeng and Luo Senyuan still belting out songs at the top of their lungs.

Ye Xiu chuckled and chided them, ”Alright, that’s enough! Your singing is going to make the post-op patients laugh so hard they burst their stitches.”

Yue Chengfeng and Luo Senyuan looked embarrassed, immediately stopping their singing and rushing over to Ye Xiu.

Yue Chengfeng said respectfully, ”Young Master, can Luo Senyuan and I follow you from now on?”

”We are willing to go through fire and water for you, Young Master,” Luo Senyuan declared.

As Eighth Grade Grandmasters, they had weathered many storms and met all sorts of people. They could clearly see Ye Xiu’s staggering potential. At just twenty-six, he had already reached the realm of a Great Grandmaster, was a Divine Doctor of unprecedented skill, and possessed ruthless methods alongside a mind that was both bold and meticulous. Following such a person offered a much brighter future than staying with the Ye Family.

”You can follow me, but you still have to return to the Ye Family. And you will tell Ye Tianming everything that happened today, exactly as it occurred,” Ye Xiu said meaningfully.

Yue Chengfeng and Luo Senyuan were stunned for a moment but quickly understood. Ye Xiu was asking them to return to the Ye Family as his undercover agents.

”As you command!”

Yue Chengfeng and Luo Senyuan knelt on one knee.

Ye Xiu nodded and walked away with Ming Yue.

Ming Yue’s heart was racing. Ye Xiu had just recruited two Eighth Grade Grandmasters so easily, making his own power even more formidable. But to order them to become undercover agents in the Ye Family right in front of her... wasn’t he afraid she would expose them? Then it hit her. He was testing her. He wanted to see if she would report this to the Ye Family. It seems Ye Xiu really doesn’t know that the Ming Family is one of the masterminds!

At this thought, Ming Yue’s mood brightened considerably. She asked, ”Brother Ye, can I ask you a question?”

”Go ahead,” Ye Xiu nodded.

”Where did you learn your Medical Skills and Martial Arts from?” Ming Yue asked.

This question didn’t just puzzle Ming Yue. Even Huang Quan’s Thirteen Protectors were extremely curious. The Ye Family knew nothing of Medical Skills, and although they were an Ancient Martial Family, they had never taught Ye Xiu anything. The Kong Family, his mother’s side, also had no knowledge of medicine, nor were they an Ancient Martial Family.

Investigations had shown that before Ye Xiu made his name at sixteen, he had no medical training whatsoever. He didn’t know Martial Arts back then either; otherwise, he wouldn’t have been hunted down with nowhere to run and nowhere to hide. Yet now, he possessed Medical Skills that were unparalleled in history, and after escaping abroad, he had acquired Martial Arts powerful enough to dominate the world.

It was a mystery.

A mystery known to no one but Ye Xiu himself.

”Top secret!” Ye Xiu said mysteriously.

This was his biggest secret, one he couldn’t tell anyone, not even Qin Qing!

「At the Ye Family’s Old Residence.」

”How are you two back so soon? Where is the First Madam? Where are Ye Xuan and Ye Xiu?” Ye Tianming asked, startled to see Yue Chengfeng and Luo Senyuan.

”We took Young Master Ye Xuan to the hospital, but the First Madam was detained by Ye Xiu,” Yue Chengfeng reported.

”How is that possible?” Ye Tianming exclaimed in shock. ”With the two of you protecting her, how could Ye Xiu possibly detain her?”

”Ye Xiu is indeed a Great Grandmaster. Together, Luo Senyuan and I couldn’t withstand a single one of his moves,” Yue Chengfeng said.

”Based on my assessment, Ye Xiu’s strength is so formidable that even you, sir, would be no match for him,” Luo Senyuan added.

This was a complete bluff. He had no way of knowing who was stronger between Ye Xiu and Ye Tianming. He said it purely to intimidate Ye Tianming and prevent him from sending more people to cause trouble for Ye Xiu.

”What?” Ye Tianming shot to his feet, crying out in alarm. ”He’s only twenty-six, and he didn’t even train in martial arts from a young age! How could he have reached the Great Grandmaster realm?”

Yue Chengfeng and Luo Senyuan remained silent. They wanted to know the answer to that question too.

”Did Ye Xiu detain the First Madam to threaten the Ye Family?” Ye Tianming asked.

”Ye Xiu had men take the First Madam to his mother’s grave. He said she is to kneel there in repentance for the rest of her life, and he’s assigned people to watch over her,” Yue Chengfeng explained.

Provocation! Blatant provocation! By treating Zheng Yiwen this way, Ye Xiu is showing his utter contempt for the Ye Family.

Yet, at that moment, Ye Tianming felt a wave of powerlessness wash over him. He realized he had absolutely no way of dealing with Ye Xiu. Recalling the message Ye Xiu had the butler deliver at the airport, Ye Tianming felt an unprecedented sense of crisis. If Ye Xiu really did storm the Ye Family’s gates one day, what could they possibly do? Putting aside the question of whether they could win, the Ye Family simply couldn’t afford the humiliation of being attacked by its own outcast.

Ye Xiu and Ming Yue wandered around Saint Medical College all morning, which only made Ming Yue more agitated. She was in no mood for sightseeing at all. She just wanted to hurry home and discuss a plan with her family. But since Ye Xiu showed no signs of leaving, she didn’t dare suggest going home by herself. It was pure agony!

At noon, they decided to have lunch in the college cafeteria. After getting their food, they chose a table in the corner. ”Try the food at Saint Medical College,” Ye Xiu said.

”Okay!” Ming Yue agreed, feigning cheerfulness. She took a casual bite, and her eyes lit up. ”The cafeteria food is this delicious?”

”Saint Medical College isn’t like other medical schools or universities,” Ye Xiu said proudly. ”The students here are all elite doctors who have already made significant achievements in their respective fields. They come here for advanced studies and don’t have to pay tuition. All the facilities are top-notch. Even the cafeteria chefs are Five-Star.”
