Medical and Martial God

Chapter 28: Chapter 28: Kicking a Grandmaster into the Air

Ye Xuan and Yue Chengfeng stared at Ye Xiu without blinking. One hundred bodyguards! Ye Xiu had unleashed one hundred kicks! Now, all one hundred bodyguards had been sent flying, their faces a bloody mess as they lay unconscious.

Yet Ye Xiu wasn’t even flushed or out of breath. He still held the wine glass, and from start to finish, not a single drop of red wine had spilled.

”Second Brother, these hundred bodyguards you brought are pretty weak, aren’t they? Are you looking down on your big brother?” Ye Xiu asked with a smile, taking a sip of his red wine.

”Impossible... This is impossible...” Ye Xuan stammered, his shock rendering him speechless. ”At birth, you were diagnosed with abnormal meridians and deemed unable to practice the Ancient Martial Arts passed down by our ancestors. That’s why Dad didn’t hesitate to expel you and your mother from the Ye Family. How... how did you fix the problem with your meridians?”

Yue Chengfeng was equally curious to hear the answer. As Ancient Martial Arts experts, they both knew that no matter how skilled a practitioner of ordinary martial arts was, they could never have defeated one hundred professionally trained bodyguards so easily. Clearly, Ye Xiu was also an Ancient Martial Arts expert. It was his Inner Strength that made his attacks so devastatingly powerful and his speed so incredibly fast.

”Have you forgotten that I’m the Divine Doctor? If I couldn’t even solve a trivial meridian problem, what kind of Divine Doctor would I be?” Ye Xiu shrugged and looked at Zhu Xiaowen. ”My glass is empty. Fill it up again.”

”Oh, oh, oh...” Zhu Xiaowen stammered. Completely terrified by Ye Xiu’s formidable combat prowess, she scurried over with another bottle of red wine and refilled his glass.

Ye Xiu’s answer, however, felt like a critical blow to Ye Xuan and Yue Chengfeng.

”Your Medical Skills are so advanced you can even fix problems with meridians?” Ye Xuan asked, thoroughly shaken.

Meridian issues had always been the greatest problem plaguing the Ancient Martial Families and sects, as no one could guarantee that their descendants would be born with normal meridians. Since ancient times, no one had ever heard of anyone who could solve such a problem.

If the Ancient Martial Families and sects of the world were to learn that Ye Xiu possessed a method to fix meridians, they would practically worship him.

”Yue Chengfeng, break both of his legs! Drag him back to the Ye Family to cure Dad’s illness, then kill him immediately!” Ye Xuan commanded.

He knew all too well that if Ye Xiu offered his method as a bargaining chip, the Ancient Martial Families and sects across the globe would eagerly help him annihilate the Ye Family without a second thought.

”Understood!” Yue Chengfeng knew exactly what Ye Xuan was thinking.

He walked to a spot three meters from Ye Xiu and said coldly, ”I am an Eighth Grade Grandmaster. By all rights, fighting you is bullying, but I have no choice. Therefore, I will not use a weapon, and I will grant you the first three moves.”

What? An Eighth Grade Grandmaster?

The young masters and ladies nearly cried out in shock. Although they weren’t part of the Ancient Martial Circle, their status meant they knew things ordinary people did not, such as the levels of Ancient Martial Arts.

Ancient Martial Arts were divided into eight grades. First Grade is the weakest, and Eighth Grade is the strongest. An Eighth Grade practitioner was also called a Grandmaster and was essentially at the peak of combat power in the world of Ancient Martial Arts.

Of course, some rare prodigies could break through the Eighth Grade and become what were known as Great Grandmasters. But the number of Great Grandmasters was exceedingly small.

My god! The Ye Family had actually sent an Eighth Grade Grandmaster to capture Ye Xiu. It was over. Ye Xiu was doomed.

”You should use your weapon, and don’t bother giving me three moves,” Ye Xiu said arrogantly, swirling the wine in his glass. ”Since my debut, I’ve never met anyone who could take a single move from me. You’d best not underestimate me.”

His statement left Yue Chengfeng, Ye Xuan, and all the young masters and ladies speechless. Not even a Great Grandmaster would dare claim they could defeat a Grandmaster in a single move. For Ye Xiu to say such a thing, he clearly had no idea how terrifying a Grandmaster’s power truly was.

”Since Ye Xiu is so arrogant, Yue Chengfeng, show him the power of a Grandmaster,” Ye Xuan said.

”Understood!” Yue Chengfeng nodded and said to Ye Xiu, ”Pay attention. I’m going to attack your Dantian. Of course, with my speed, you won’t be able to see it, but it’s good for you to know where I’m aiming.”

”Cut the crap. You won’t even get close to me,” Ye Xiu retorted with disdain.

”Arrogant fool!”

Yue Chengfeng was enraged. A dignified Eighth Grade Grandmaster, being publicly disrespected by a brat in his early twenties. He was courting death!

Fueled by anger, Yue Chengfeng cast aside any concerns about a senior bullying a junior. The instant he drew his sword with a thunderous whoosh, he vanished from his spot.

The sight shocked everyone present.

Was this the speed of an Eighth Grade Grandmaster?

That’s right. Yue Chengfeng hadn’t actually disappeared. His speed was just too fast—so fast that everyone except Ye Xiu and Ye Xuan completely lost track of his movement. Even Ye Xuan could only barely glimpse a shadow; he knew that even he couldn’t dodge a full-power strike from Yue Chengfeng.

It’s over! Ye Xiu is definitely done for this time!

However...

BANG!

A heavy thud suddenly echoed through the air.

Ye Xuan and everyone else watched as Yue Chengfeng flew over their heads. He flew and flew, soaring more than ten meters before crashing into the swimming pool with a splash. The water around his head was instantly stained red with blood.

It was obvious what had happened: Yue Chengfeng had been struck square in the face by one of Ye Xiu’s disfiguring kicks.

”This... impossible. This can’t be happening... How could this be...”

Ye Xuan felt as if he had just witnessed the most unbelievable thing in the world. Yue Chengfeng was an Eighth Grade Grandmaster! How could he be defeated by Ye Xiu in a single kick?

The young masters and ladies, along with the shirtless young men and swimsuit-clad young women, were all rendered utterly speechless.

PFFT!

Yue Chengfeng surfaced, sputtering a mouthful of bloody pool water. His face a crimson mask, he trembled as he climbed out of the pool. Staggering over to Ye Xuan, he stared at Ye Xiu in shock.

”A Great Grandmaster... Are you actually a Great Grandmaster?”

What?

Ye Xuan’s face turned pale with astonishment. Ye Xiu was a Great Grandmaster?

”You... you aren’t mistaken, are you?” Ye Xuan asked Yue Chengfeng, finding it hard to believe.

”I couldn’t even see a shadow of his attack before he kicked me in the face. For him to be that much stronger than me, he has to be a Great Grandmaster,” Yue Chengfeng stated with absolute conviction.

Ye Xuan was stunned.

A Great Grandmaster! That was an existence rarer and more precious than a giant panda. Even a behemoth of a clan like the Ye Family had only one Great Grandmaster!

Ye Xiu! This piece of trash, judged useless by the Ye Family since birth, had become a Great Grandmaster at such a young age. He was arguably the youngest Great Grandmaster in all of history.

”How did you do it?” Ye Xuan asked. ”You’re so young. How did you cultivate to the Great Grandmaster Realm?”

Yue Chengfeng and the young masters and ladies all perked up their ears.

They wanted to know the answer to that question too.

A Great Grandmaster! If there was a shortcut to becoming one, people in the Ancient Martial Circle would sell everything they owned to buy it, even if the price was 100 billion.
