Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

Chapter 794, Big Sister Cui Ziyi

Translator: Silavin

[Did I happen to run into a gang from Dragon Country coming to seize the Abyssal Rift?]

Lu Fan could not help but bitterly chuckle, thinking to himself that his timing was truly impeccable.

He cast his gaze outward and saw them charging towards this location, while the South Country people, upon seeing the Dragon Country forces, immediately lost all fighting spirit. After all, since the person with the greatest authority here had just been killed by Lu Fan, they simply could not form an effective defence.

In an instant, the South Country gang collapsed like a mountain avalanche.

Lu Fan did not want too many people to see his Pet Dragon. Given his Attributes, dealing with Players below Level 100 was like cutting vegetables with a kitchen knife, so there was absolutely no need for his Pet Dragon.

Therefore, Lu Fan directly recalled his Ye Sha.

Although Lu Fan had recalled his Ye Sha, the people surrounding him had absolutely no courage to engage him in battle. They all wanted to escape from this place when Lu Fan’s ‘reinforcements’ arrived, scrambling to crush their Return Scrolls or Random Teleport Scrolls.

“Want to run? Where do you think you’re going?!” The bold woman’s voice rang out again. Immediately after, Lu Fan saw an Array light up within the Abyssal Rift, followed by a massive torrent of water erupting from the Array, making this place seem as though it had been struck by a flood.

Seeing such a Skill, those from South Country became even more panicked, crying out in succession. “Quick, leave! Cui Ziyi is coming!”

“Why has this harbinger of death personally come to kill us!? This is truly a death sentence!!”

“It must be because last time, while she was away, we killed several of her people and seized the Abyssal Rift. She must be livid! How am I so unlucky to encounter Cui Ziyi on my first day guarding the Abyssal Rift here…”

“Quick, run! If we don’t run now, we’ll all die!”

“No… Please save me! My Return Scroll has been interrupted!”

A flood swept over in the blink of an eye. Many of those from South Country had not even managed to create their Transport Arrays before being knocked to the ground by the torrent.

Lu Fan released the Bone Wings from his back and flew up directly, avoiding being affected by the flooding.

Below, only three to five people from South Country, who were quick enough to escape through Random Teleport Scrolls.

The rest were all trapped here, bobbing helplessly in the whirlpool formed by the flood, unable to resist.

“Still want to run?! Hmph!” When the flood swept over, a woman dressed in purple leather actually surfed atop the torrent, riding the flood with heroic grace like she was surfing.

At the same time, she raised her hand, and a stream of water flew out from the flood. With a pointing gesture, it transformed into a water arrow that precisely struck those in the water.

Her Attack was formidable. This seemingly unremarkable Skill actually took their lives, even those with Heavy Armour were no exception.

In less than ten seconds, all those from the South Country gang present had been killed.

The woman named Cui Ziyi also withdrew her Skills, and the flood that had almost filled the entire Abyssal Rift completely disappeared. However, everything here remained damp and wet, informing Lu Fan that this person’s Skills had indeed been quite effective.

Seeing the flood recede, Lu Fan also retracted his Bone Wings and landed back on the ground, looking at Cui Ziyi not far away.

This person appeared to be only around thirty years old, with a devilishly perfect figure. She was wearing tight purple leather that accentuated her criminal silhouette to perfection. At the same time, her face was breathtakingly beautiful, radiating an androgynous heroic aura. Notably, her left eye was covered with an eyepatch, though it was unclear whether the eye beneath had lost its sight or not.

Cui Ziyi was tall with incredibly long legs. After landing, she did not immediately walk towards Lu Fan, but turned back to the Dragon Country Players who had charged in behind her. “Kill them all, leave none alive!”

“These bastards previously ambushed our Heavenly Dragon Gang, causing over ten Brothers to lose their lives. Today, we’ll collect some interest on that debt first!”

“Let’s go!”

“Listen to Big Sister Cui, kill all these bloody bastards and leave none alive!”

The Players behind responded in unison, beginning to slaughter those from South Country.

At this rate, it seemed Cui Ziyi would not need to take action herself. So she turned around, striding forward on her long legs, reaching Lu Fan in two steps. She placed her hands on her hips with displeasure. “Whose subordinate are you!? Why did you expose yourself early!? If I hadn’t arrived in time, do you know what kind of chaos would have erupted today? Failing to reclaim the Abyssal Rift would be a small matter, but what if our Brothers suffered casualties again?”

Lu Fan immediately understood that this woman had most likely mistaken him for one of her own people.

He smiled helplessly and was about to explain when Cui Ziyi was clearly faster with words.

She furrowed her brows with dissatisfaction. “Still laughing?! You’re taking matters of life and death far too lightly! How has a Player like you gotten selected to participate in a Mission like this!?”

“Old Green, Old Ninth, come over here and tell me who picked this person!?”

As soon as she finished speaking, two people responded and came running over.

“Big Sister Cui, which of our Brothers has held us back and made you angry again?” These two asked.

Cui Ziyi pointed at Lu Fan. “Him. Just now I watched with my own eyes as he emerged from Concealment, alerting these people. Although he somewhat redeemed himself by killing their leader, acting without waiting for my orders was far too dangerous! How could such an Assassin be sent to handle Player Hunting Missions? Don’t we have more obedient Assassins?”

Old Green and Old Ninth both looked puzzled, staring at Lu Fan in bewilderment. “But we don’t recognize him at all…”

“That’s right, Big Sister Cui, today’s plan didn’t include any Player Hunting Mission. Didn’t you say we should treat the Abyssal Rift like a pocket, we should directly shut the entrance and beat up those inside? So we sent all Heavy Armour Type Equipment Players, planning to kill through this place in one go. We didn’t bring any Assassin Type Players!”

Cui Ziyi was also stunned, then looked at Lu Fan with confusion. “Could he not be one of us?!”

Old Green and Old Ninth both shook their heads simultaneously.

If he was not from Dragon Country, then would he not be from South Country!?

Just now, Lu Fan had attacked those from South Country though, which led Cui Ziyi to assume that the enemy of her enemy must surely be an ally.

But now that both Old Green and Old Ninth said they did not recognize this person, Cui Ziyi immediately realized she had mistaken an enemy for one of her own.

“Well I’ll be damned, this person might be from another gang. Kill him!” Cui Ziyi’s face changed extremely quickly, immediately preparing to release Skills to take Lu Fan down.
