Chapter 758, Lin Dong’s Growth

Fortunately, the Fallen Corpse Ancient God and the Holy Land Ancient God erupted simultaneously.

Otherwise, if Dragon Country faced both internal strife and external threats, it would have been exceedingly difficult to endure.

Even so, Dragon Country was not having an easy time.

On the Far North’s defence line, Monster waves surged one after another, as if endless.

Even with over a hundred thousand soldiers stationed on the defence line, alongside countless volunteers cooperating in battle, the frontline situation remained tense.

After all, no matter how strong a person was, they eventually tire.

Facing endless Monster attacks, who could persist?

This war of attrition continued for three full days. The Fallen Corpse Puppets showed no signs of diminishing, while the frontline soldiers and volunteers were all showing signs of exhaustion.

The only consolation was that countless volunteers from Dragon Country continued streaming in from various locations to provide support. Even some Ancient Noble Families from the Western Border sent in their experts to help.

This allowed the frontline situation to remain tense but sustainable, preventing the Fallen Corpse Puppets from breaking through the defence line.

During these days, Dragon Country’s upper echelons worked through the nights to formulate policies for suppressing the Fallen Corpse Puppet chaos in the Far North.

Soon, various policies emerged successively. Their main content was to offer rewards to encourage as many Players as possible to voluntarily provide support.

Simultaneously, numerous outposts were established in the Far North. Each outpost had Players stationed there. Their primary purpose was to use these outposts as transfer points, allowing the youths to reach the Far North.

Firstly, this would allow the youths to Level Up. Secondly, it would enable the youths to participate and help eliminate the endless stream of Fallen Corpse Puppets.

Many Universities had already cooperated with Dragon Country’s upper echelons, selecting talented youths from their campuses. Led by several powerful teachers, they would fight against the Fallen Corpse Puppets.

Treating a crisis as an opportunity for military training, Dragon Country’s approach could be considered transforming disaster into opportunity.

What remained for the Fallen Corpse Puppets had been sent back to Dragon Capital, handed over to Dragon Country scholars for research and analysis, striving to find methods to deal with these Fallen Corpse Puppets and create powerful Engineered Items.

If there were Engineered Items specifically designed to deal with Fallen Corpse Puppets, then suppressing the Fallen Corpse Puppets in the Far North would be twice as effective with half the effort.

The flames of war in the Far North burned for three days without stopping. During this period, Lu Fan was either at Dragon Capital University or on Shadow Isle and had not gone to the Far North.

It was not that he was unwilling to go, but with the Griffin Legion camp destroyed, he simply no longer had a Teleportation Scroll to the Far North.

Without a Teleportation Scroll, if he wanted to directly ride a Giant Dragon there, even with the fastest Ye Sha, it would probably take over a week of flying.

With this amount of time, the first outpost in the Far North would have already established a Transport Array for people to travel there.

Therefore, although he knew Tu Jing was severely injured in this attack by the Blood Moon’s Owner, he could only worry and could not do anything.

During these three days, Lu Fan brought Lin Dong to Shadow Isle, basically replenishing what had been lacking with Life Essence due to her anorexia.

At the same time, Lin Dong had already reached Level 30, entering her Growth Phase, becoming even more powerful.

Reaching Level 30, Lin Dong, like Bao Bao, had not comprehended two Form Transformations. However, her Winter Aura had reached LV5 and evolved into Sheer Cold Aura.

Although its Effects were similar, their effectiveness was incomparable.

Lu Fan had Lin Dong test it. This Level 30 Baby Dragon, without using any Skills, could reduce the Speed of Shadow Isle’s Level 90 Monsters to an extremely low degree just by standing there using only her Sheer Cold Aura.

Even after staying within her Sheer Cold Aura for about ten seconds, Shadow Monsters would be completely Frozen.

At this point, combined with its newly comprehended Skill, Ice Explosion, she could directly kill Shadow Monsters instantly!

Ice Explosion (Active Skill, LV1) –Detonates enemies in Frozen State, dealing terrifying Damage to the enemies.
This Skill had now become Lin Dong’s primary Damage Output Skill. As long as something was Frozen by Lin Dong, one Ice Explosion would basically finish off the enemy.

Overall, Lin Dong’s strength made Lu Fan extremely pleased.

After all, being able to brutally kill Level 90 Monsters at Level 30 was not something ordinary Pets could achieve. Even Pet Dragons would struggle at times.

The reason for this was Lin Dong’s Racial Trait being too overpowered.

In terms of Magic Attack, Physical Attack and other aspects, she was not as good as Bao Bao, Xing Chen, or even Xiao Ye. But her Crowd Control was simply unparalleled.

Unless she faced Monsters with abilities that could counter her Crowd Control Skills, the battle had no suspense whatsoever.

So what if they were strong? She could just Crowd Control them to death! What could they do about it then!?

Besides the Ice Explosion skill, Lin Dong had also comprehended another Skill, Ice Armour.

Moreover, what surprised Lu Fan greatly was that this Skill could not only be applied to Lin Dong herself but also to her teammates.

Units equipped with Ice Armour not only gained an extremely durable armour and rapidly recovered from injuries while it was being maintained, but it also shared part of her Sheer Cold Aura Skill.

Simply being near a unit wearing Ice Armour would cause Overall Slow Effect, and after accumulating to a certain degree, they would be Frozen, and Lin Dong could trigger her Ice Explosion Skill.

Lu Fan could even imagine himself equipped with Xiao You and Xiao Zuo, plus the Little Blade Armour Dragon King, with an outer layer of Ice Armour. That would make him an impregnable armoured Dragon Turtle!

Although Lin Dong’s strength improved extremely quickly, Lu Fan still wanted to find a place to properly Level her up.

Although Lin Dong was already absurdly strong for ordinary people, if her Level was too low, she would still struggle to participate in the battles Lu Fan would experience.

On the day Lin Dong reached Level 30, Qin Qiu returned from Dragon Capital University, informing Lu Fan that the Transport Array to the Far North had been connected. One could now travel from Dragon Capital, with a few transfers, to the frontlines of the Far North.

Moreover, policy had changed. Dragon Capital University was organising three student teams to go to the frontlines. Firstly, to participate in combat and temper themselves. Secondly, to support the frontlines.

Currently, Qin Qiu and her group have all achieved their Third Profession Change. Their strength was not just top-tier among the second years. They were ranked amongst the best in all of Dragon Capital University.

Therefore, they actually wanted to support the frontlines and secure one of those three spots.
