Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

Chapter 770, Betting an Epic Grade Equipment!

Translator: Silavin

Epic Grade equipment, for Lu Fan, was no different from rubbish.

Not to mention that the entire Ye Family now belonged to him, even if he merely opened his mouth, the Murong Family would obediently deliver not just one Epic Grade equipment, but ten if needed.

Simply from all the experts Lu Fan had eliminated, the equipment stripped from these experts alone contained countless Epic Grades.

Originally, Lu Fan had wanted to bet a Legendary Grade one, as only Legendary Grade equipment could stir his interest.

However, he feared that while he could produce a Legendary Grade equipment, Jin Zhan might not be able to, and then he might hesitate whether to engage in the wager with him, which would instead damage his reputation.

Since it was just for amusement, it was better to play with stakes everyone could afford. After all, it was just for a bit of fun.

Although Epic Grade equipment was precious, with Jin Zhan’s status and strength, producing one or two pieces definitely would not be a problem.

Indeed, this proved true. Lu Fan’s proposal was accepted by Jin Zhan.

This was something Jin Zhan could afford to lose, and he also wanted to win one from Lu Fan’s hands.

The Attributes did not matter. What mattered was this Epic Grade equipment would be won from Lu Fan’s hands, and that was enough.

As the two conversed so cheerfully, their words were overheard by the people from Holy Dragon University stationed in the outpost.

These people in the outpost were trembling with fear.

[Good Heaven, this is what it means to be a big shot in Dragon Country!? We haven’t even seen what an Epic Grade equipment looks like, only glimpsed pictures at auction houses. Yet, they are both using them as betting stakes!? This is the world of the strong. In the end, we’re not worthy. In our lifetime, we probably won’t reach such heights…]

With the wager established between both sides, Lu Fan did not intend to linger here much longer. He still needed to return to check on Qin Qiu, then find a way to hunt as many Fallen Corpse Puppets as possible to win this wager.

However, Jin Zhan was an upright person. He proactively waved his hand and threw a Map to Lu Fan.

Lu Fan caught it and glanced at it, discovering it was a Map of the Far North. This should be the latest intelligence obtained after the Griffin Legion’s soldiers who went to investigate following the incident in the Far North.

The Map even marked that three hundred kilometres away, there were two caverns which were the source of the Fallen Corpse Puppets here.

The numbers there were numerous beyond imagination, and it was precisely because of these two caverns that the frontline situation was so critical.

“This Map…” After looking at the Map, Lu Fan glanced at Jin Zhan, somewhat puzzled.

Jin Zhan said. “I don’t want to bully you. Although you are Dragon Country’s Spark, you don’t actually understand the frontline situation. This is a Map drawn by soldiers of the Griffin Legion. Two caverns are marked on it, and you should have spotted them immediately, right?”

“That’s the source of the Fallen Corpse Puppets here. The quantity and density of Monsters there are far more exaggerated than other places, and every so often, Bosses even appear. My original goal was to go there to farm, but if I monopolised such a farming spot, you’d have absolutely no chance of beating me. So, I’m giving you this Map. If you’re confident in your abilities, you can pick one cavern and enter it, where you’ll have the opportunity to slaughter more.”

“Ah, so that’s what you mean.” Lu Fan laughed after hearing this.

Indeed, if Jin Zhan had truly kept this ace up his sleeve, even with Bao Bao and Xing Chen searching the entire battlefield for Fallen Corpse Puppets to kill, he could not possibly beat Jin Zhan.

It seemed this person was indeed honourable and upright. Tu Jing was absolutely correct.

“You have my thanks.” Lu Fan put away the Map, grinning. “However, when I win later, I’ll still take your Epic Grade equipment.”

“Wait until you’ve won before saying that!” Jin Zhan snorted coldly, saying, “Then now, shall we set off together? When the time comes, between the two caverns, you and I will each choose one. Which cavern has more monsters will depend entirely on luck. When the time comes, don’t say I bullied you.”

“Hehe, agreed!” Lu Fan accepted, but then added. “Actually, why don’t you go to the cavern first. To be honest, deeper in the Far North, I still have some friends. I originally brought them here to grind for Levels, but the defence here almost failed, so I left them there and rushed back alone to provide rescue. Now, they’re still ahead. Since I’m competing with you, I should at least inform them and see if they need to return to this outpost.”

Upon hearing this, Jin Zhan’s brow clearly furrowed.

Obviously, he was already eager to compete with Lu Fan, but what Lu Fan mentioned was indeed something that needed handling.

Thus, Jin Zhan said. “Forget it, I’ll accompany you on this trip. Going to the cavern early and having more time to kill than you, even if I won, it wouldn’t count as me besting you with my skills. Since we’re competing, it must be fair. I can’t take even the slightest bit of advantage over you.”

Lu Fan laughed upon hearing this, saying. “Alright then, I’ll trouble you for a bit of time to make this trip with me.”

“Fine.” Lu Fan patted Ye Sha, making it turn back around to search for Qin Qiu and the others.

Xing Chen, Bao Bao, and Lin Dong continued killing Fallen Corpse Puppets along the way. However, Lu Fan did not take advantage of Jin Zhan either. Along this route, he removed the medal and released all the Souls within it, keeping the count at zero.

Thus, Lu Fan departed alone but returned with Jin Zhan following behind.

The Three Legged Fire Bird’s flight speed was not slow. Lu Fan only needed Ye Sha to slow down slightly, and Jin Zhan could keep up.

Soon, the two arrived one after the other at Qin Qiu and the others’ location.

At this time, Qin Qiu and the others, under the protection of Fallen Corpse Puppets, faced no danger whatsoever. They had even attempted to attack the Fallen Corpse Puppets outside, managing to gain quite a bit of Experience Points.

When Jin Zhan approached this area, he immediately spotted many Fallen Corpse Puppets below that he had never seen before. Greatly startled, his Dragon Spear already had flames wreathing around it.

Lu Fan immediately realised this person had misunderstood, taking his Fallen Corpse Puppets for those emerging from the Far North.

“No, no, no, don’t attack! Those Fallen Corpse Puppets below are my Summons!” Lu Fan hastily stopped Jin Zhan from acting.

If he had really thrust his spear down, many of the Fallen Corpse Puppets below would have died.

Rather than being killed by Jin Zhan like this, it would be better to directly absorb them and turn them into Attributes for Xiao Zuo and Xiao You!

When Jin Zhan learned that all the Fallen Corpse Puppets below were Lu Fan’s Summons, the expression on his face immediately became spectacular.
