Chapter 778, Ancient God Shadow Guard

At this point, Lu Fan glanced at the counter in his Soul Medal and discovered it had reached as high as over three million.

In other words, he had slain over three million Monsters, including many Extreme Demon Yetis and even stronger Boss-level Monsters.

If these Monsters were released to the frontlines, the frontline soldiers and Players would probably need to fight for five days and nights to completely eliminate them all.

Moreover, the potential casualties and financial consumption involved would be hard to estimate.

In less than a day, Lu Fan could be said to have saved Dragon Country enormous human and material costs.

At the same time, this number was still continuously increasing, because with the existence of the Apocalyptic Disaster Skill, every time Lin Dong’s Ice Explosion was activated, this number would dramatically surge.

By the time of his appointment with Jin Zhan, killing four million Monsters would not be a problem.

During this period, Lu Fan had been advancing and exploring the depths of the cavern.

He made many discoveries.

For instance, he had discovered as many as five cavern exits leading to the outside world.

Clearly, the three cavern exits discovered by the Griffin Legion scouts were not the total number.

The entire Far North should have several cavern exits, otherwise the frontlines could not be so intense.

Moreover, the deeper one ventured into the Far North, the more caverns there were. At the same time, the number of appearing Fallen Corpse Puppets also increased.

Obviously, the caverns were not actually the source of their appearance. If one searched along the interior of the caverns, the source of their appearance should be deeper into the Far North.

This made Lu Fan think of the coffin that the Blood Moon’s Owner had been dragging at the time.

That coffin had always been frozen beneath a great lake.

[Could it be that this cavern is somehow connected all the way to that great lake? That;s not impossible…]

Although Lu Fan knew there was danger ahead, he still could not suppress his curiosity and continued exploring deeper, planning to discover as many secrets within the cavern as possible before leaving.

If he could truly discover where these Fallen Corpse Puppets came from and seal them away, it would be immensely beneficial for Dragon Country.

However, the cavern was densely packed with Monsters and boundlessly vast. Although Lu Fan had already explored a great distance, he still could not see the end.

Lu Fan was also afraid of encountering existences like the Blood Moon’s Owner that he temporarily could not handle, so when there was only about an hour left until his appointment with Jin Zhan, he decided to turn back.

Later, when the Devouring Dragon King awakens, he could return to thoroughly explore the cavern.

Just as Lu Fan was about to leave, his Black Dragon Perception suddenly made him alert. He sensed an extremely powerful aura rapidly approaching him!

However, the opponent’s target was not Lu Fan, but Lin Dong, who had been slaughtering the Monsters here!

Almost without hesitation, Lu Fan directly summoned Xiao Cui, having her transform into her Soul Light Form and attach to Lin Dong’s body, while continuously refreshing Jade Shield and Dragon Qi Defence on Lin Dong.

Not only that, under Lu Fan’s instruction, Lin Dong urgently covered her entire body with a layer of Ice Armour, further enhancing her Defence.

The entire process was executed flawlessly.

In just one second, Lu Fan had fully armed Lin Dong.

It was at this moment that the opponent’s attack arrived.

A black shadow instantly flew out from the Monster horde, targeting Lin Dong directly.

The opponent’s speed was so fast that Lin Dong, being a Mage Type Dragon, naturally could not dodge and was struck head-on.

Accompanied by a thunderous *boom*, Lin Dong’s Dragon Qi Defence and Jade Shield were completely shattered in the first instant, and even the Ice Armour that Lin Dong had applied to herself was violently struck, showing cracks.

Lin Dong’s body staggered in mid-air, but quickly stabilized.

“Ang!” Lin Dong roared, clearly angered.

Under the dual protection of Xiao Cui and Ice Armour, Lin Dong was naturally uninjured.

But the fact that the opponent had nearly harmed her, how could this not anger her?

The opponent’s attack was so high that it left Lu Fan speechless.

After all, Monsters capable of breaking through both Jade Shield and Dragon Qi Defence in one strike. This was extremely rare. Yet this opponent had not only broken through both Skills’ Defenses but had almost shattered the Ice Armour as well and injured Lin Dong. This Monster’s Damage Output was probably ranked first among all the Monsters Lu Fan had encountered, even the Divine Bone from before could not compare to it.

[What exactly is it!?] Lu Fan narrowed his eyes, looking at the black shadow that had failed to attack Lin Dong and bounced back to the ground.

The black shadow was not particularly large, appearing to be only about three metres tall, completely pitch black.

Because of its excessive speed, Lu Fan could not even clearly see its appearance.

After it landed, it immediately smashed a deep crater in the ice layer below, and even the Monsters within a radius of several dozen metres were affected, instantly crushed into chunks of flesh and sent flying.

After this Monster landed, it did not attack again, but simply crouched there like a reptile.

At the same time, perhaps due to fear of this Monster, the surrounding Fallen Corpse Puppets seemed to sense its presence and did not dare to approach. Even though they were surrounded by Monsters, they squeezed past, desperately trying to avoid the fifty-metre range of this black Monster.

At this moment, Lu Fan finally saw the true appearance of this Monster.

It was extremely peculiar, resembling a lizard-person, completely pitch black, with faint black mist continuously rising from its body.

On its head, there was nothing, only a pair of white eyes staring motionlessly at Lu Fan.

Such a bizarre existence sent chills through Lu Fan’s heart.

Lu Fan used Appraisal to check the opponent’s information and actually managed to obtain its Level and Grade.

Ancient God Shadow Guard (Level 130 Legendary Grade Boss)
Strength: ????

Agility: ????

Apart from its name, Grade, and Level, all other Attributes shown were ‘????’ due to the vast Level difference, making it impossible for Lu Fan to examine them.

However, its identity as a Level 130 Legendary Grade Boss was enough to give him a rough understanding of its strength.

Generally speaking, ordinary Giant Dragons were classified as Legendary Grade.

In other words, this Monster called Ancient God Shadow Guard was an existence comparable to a Level 130 Pure Blood Giant Dragon!
