Invincible Little School Doctor

Chapter 386: Chapter 385: If You Dare, Then Shoot!

Seeing her so earnest, Ye Haochuan’s mind sharpened, ”What’s the matter?”

”It’s like this, our Haishan University Affiliated Hospital has now formally started operations. Although we have quickly gained fame, it’s only limited to Haishan. If we want to rapidly establish our reputation nationwide, and even worldwide, we must advertise,”

Xiao Haimei said seriously.

”I support this,” Ye Haochuan nodded, but he felt a bit uneasy as he added, ”However, the current situation of our hospital is that we are severely short on funds and medical staff. Expanding too quickly could actually be detrimental.”

Pausing for a moment, Ye Haochuan continued, ”Like this afternoon, the patients who came were mostly ordinary citizens. Of course, I don’t mean to discriminate against ordinary citizens, but their illnesses could totally have been treated at other hospitals. For them to come to us does seem like a bit of a waste of resources.”

”I’ve already considered the issue you mentioned,” Xiao Haimei said with a light smile. ”After all, today was the first day of operation for our hospital, and we can’t let the patients feel disheartened, right? I’ve decided that starting next week, we will significantly raise the registration fee under the pretext of heavy operating pressure. This way, ordinary citizens will naturally go to other hospitals to register and see doctors.”

Ye Haochuan nodded, ”That does seem like a solution.”

”Although this will greatly reduce our patient flow, it will also allow us to integrate our resources and focus on creating a high-end market. As for the low-end market, it will be naturally diverted to other hospitals, preventing them from becoming envious and teaming up to target us later,” Xiao Haimei said shrewdly.

Ye Haochuan was secretly impressed by her foresight, and couldn’t help but praise her.

Xiao Haimei giggled, somewhat smugly replying, ”Now you know I’m not ordinary, don’t you?”

Hearing her joke, Ye Haochuan also became interested and bantered, ”I’m not ordinary either, having found such a capable wife like you.”

The word ”capable” was emphasized heavily by him. Xiao Haimei could tell that he was teasing her, and she couldn’t help but hit him lightly, scolding, ”Not being serious again.”

Today, Xiao Haimei was still wearing the reception gown from the morning. Her slender legs were clad in black stockings, looking extremely enticing.

Ye Haochuan was so stirred up that he subconsciously gulped, and just as he was about to put his hands on her, suddenly, a noisy commotion came from outside the window.

He found it strange for a moment and used his ”Perspective” to look, only to see a large group of people continuously pouring into the hospital’s main entrance. In their camouflage military uniforms and armed with weapons, they were clearly soldiers. Judging by the number, there were at least a hundred.

Ye Haochuan’s heart tightened, and he immediately understood that this small group of soldiers was surely brought by those three male military personnel from before.

”Damn, rejecting a face-saving offer!”

With a low shout, Ye Haochuan patted Xiao Haimei, signaling her to get off him.

Xiao Haimei was a bit puzzled and asked, ”What’s wrong?”

Ye Haochuan quickly explained what he had seen.

”What? That’s just brazen. This is a school, a hospital; how can they do something like this?” Xiao Haimei was also furious.

After pondering for a moment, Ye Haochuan said, ”They’re here for me. I’ll go down and take a look first.”

”Okay, but be careful,”

After saying goodbye to Xiao Haimei, Ye Haochuan hurried to the door and then downstairs. Just as he reached the outpatient entrance, he happened to run into the leading male soldier he had encountered earlier.

Next to the male soldier was a military officer with a square face. Looking at his rank, he was a colonel.

”Commander, this is the ’Divine Doctor’ Ye Haochuan, the one reported on TV,” the leading male soldier said to the colonel.

Ye Haochuan’s mind sharpened, wondering if this colonel could be Commander Ma Tao.

He was right; the colonel was indeed Commander Ma Tao.

As soon as he saw him, Ma Tao immediately shouted arrogantly, ”Damn it, I sent someone to ask you to treat my daughter, and you not only refused but you even injured my guard. Take him away!”

Saying that, Ma Tao waved his hand grandly.

Immediately, two soldiers from behind stepped forward to take Ye Haochuan away.

”Good, very good, Commander, do you really think that just because you’re a Commander you can do whatever you want?” Ye Haochuan was furious.

At that moment, as the two soldiers reached him and went to grab his shoulders, Ye Haochuan, without waiting for the two soldiers to react, shook his shoulders and both soldiers instantly felt a great force transferred to them, shaking them to the ground like they had been electrocuted, screaming in pain.

”Motherfucker!”

Ma Tao’s face changed, and suddenly he pulled out a shiny black pistol, pointing it at his head and shouting, ”You ungrateful brat, I came to ask you personally, and you still dare to be arrogant?”

At the same time, the soldiers behind him uniformly raised their weapons, pointing their barrels at Ye Haochuan.

”Very well, you soldiers, instead of protecting our land and people, you’re threatening us civilians with guns. Very brave of you!” Ye Haochuan said coldly, stepping forward, ”If you have the guts, try firing a shot!”

”Stop!” Ma Tao ordered.

Ye Haochuan ignored him completely and took another step forward.

”Motherfucker, I don’t believe you’re not afraid of death!” Ma Tao said as he disengaged the safety.

Ye Haochuan sneered, ”If you have the guts, fire!”

Ma Tao was completely enraged and with a bang, a bullet sprayed out of the barrel.

There were already many doctors and nurses watching the scene, and upon witnessing this, everyone’s face changed, for in their eyes, Ye Haochuan was certainly doomed.

However, the next moment, everyone’s vision blurred, and suddenly Ye Haochuan was no longer in sight.

”Huh, where did he go?”

As Ma Tao was puzzled, a figure suddenly appeared before his eyes, and before he could react, his wrist hurt, and the pistol dropped to the ground.

But then, Ye Haochuan reached out to catch the pistol, and it was already in Ye Haochuan’s hand, while Ma Tao was being pointed at with the pistol by Ye Haochuan.

Ma Tao was instantly dumbfounded, unable to believe that Ye Haochuan, a mere doctor, could have such skill.

”Daring to point a gun at our Commander, are you—fucking tired of living? Put down the gun!” Behind him, the soldiers quickly opened their bolts, yelling.

”Cease fire!”

Just then, a loud shout came from behind.

Everyone looked around only to see a man in civilian clothes with a crew cut walking over.

Ye Haochuan glanced at the crew-cut man and realized it was Gao Ren, whom he had met last time at Old Master Lin’s house.

”Captain Gao, why are you here?” Ma Tao asked, surprised.

”If I didn’t come, would I just watch you make a big mess?” Gao Ren shouted, ”Do you know who he is? He’s a distinguished guest of our leader, you’ve got the guts to wave weapons around in front of him?”

”What?” Ma Tao suddenly felt a sense of alarm.
