Invincible Little School Doctor

Chapter 384: Chapter 383: Where did Qiu Ba come from?

Seeing that Xiao Haimie had entrusted him with the task of opening a medicinal cuisine restaurant, Ye Haochuan hesitated, frowning, ”I don’t have that much time, you know, I’m quite lazy, and besides practicing medicine, my biggest interest is in practicing martial skills.”

After thinking for a moment, Xiao Haimie said, ”Here’s what we’ll do, you won’t have to interfere with managing the medicinal cuisine shop. For now, just develop some medicinal recipes. I will quickly arrange for manpower to refurbish the cafeteria of our affiliated hospital and set up a medicinal cuisine shop first.”

Ye Haochuan nodded in agreement, ”This isn’t too bad. Since I have nothing pressing now, I’ll get started on the recipes.”

Xiao Haimie gave a charming smile, ”Then you get busy with this first here, and I’ll go gather some people to strengthen the medicinal cuisine shop. But, isn’t the name ’medicinal cuisine shop’ a bit too lackluster? Should we pick a nicer sounding name?”

”How about Xiao Family Medicinal Cuisine Shop?” Ye Haochuan suggested.

Seeing him use the Xiao Family name for the shop, Xiao Haimie understood his intention. With this, he clearly aimed to boost the future influence of the Xiao Group!

Shaking her head, Xiao Haimie said, ”The Ye Family Medicinal Cuisine Shop would be much better. You’re now a famous doctor known all over Haishan, and people will naturally patronize it just by hearing your name. Our Xiao family has no one practicing medicine; who would take us seriously?”

Ye Haochuan said, half-laughing, half-crying, ”That shouldn’t be a problem, right?”

Xiao Haimie seriously replied, ”Dear, I know you don’t want to deal with these things, but you have to think about your other women too, don’t you? You’re wholeheartedly busy with things for my Xiao family and have never considered whether you should fight for a fortune for them. Without that, how would they feel secure in the long run?”

Ye Haochuan felt deeply moved by her words and choked up, ”Sister Mei, I...”

Xiao Haimie cradled his cheeks in her hands, her demeanor filled with tenderness, ”Dear, from the beginning, I knew that my whole life would be bound to yours. This is the path I have chosen, and I won’t regret it. Since I’ve made my choice, shouldn’t I consider your other women as well?”

Ye Haochuan was utterly overwhelmed with emotion and said, ”I am so moved. With a wife like you, what more could a husband ask for?”

Xiao Haimie extended her delicate finger and gently tapped his chest, her tone full of tender resentment, ”You still know to be moved? Then why do you keep stirring up trouble with so many women? If you get too many later on, I want to see how you’ll distribute your fortune.”

Ye Haochuan chuckled, ”At worst, I’ll just work hard to earn money, what’s there to fear? If it comes down to having a harem of three thousand beauties, you will be my chief empress, Ye Haochuan’s queen.”

”Tch, what queen? You’re getting more and more absurd,” Xiao Haimie spat at him, ”You even think about having a harem of three thousand? You think you can manage that?”

”Hehe, just kidding, just kidding...” Ye Haochuan laughed playfully.

After joking around for a while, they discussed the appointment of the person in charge for the Ye Family Medicinal Cuisine Shop.

”How about this, Han Xue’er is quite good. She comes from a nursing background and has some knowledge about medicinal cuisine, why not let her take charge? What do you think?” Xiao Haimie said.

Ye Haochuan nodded; indeed, Han Xue’er was a good choice, so he agreed.

”Then I’ll leave it to you to communicate with Han Xue’er,” Xiao Haimei said.

”Sure,” Ye Haochuan nodded his head.

The two talked for a while longer and then wrapped up the conversation.

Afterward, Ye Haochuan left Xiao Haimie’s office, returned to his own, and wrote a bunch of medicinal cuisine recipes.

Actually, it was the information age now, and anyone could find a multitude of medicinal cuisine recipes on the internet, but the problem was that most of those recipes were pretty common. The really good recipes from ancient times that were handed down were few and far between.

Ye Haochuan was different. He had the medical heritage left by the Holy Hand, many of his medicinal cuisine recipes were rare treasures. Moreover, with his specially formulated soup mixed with special medicines, the efficacy was far stronger than anything found on the internet.

After finishing, he made a phone call and summoned Han Xue’er.

When Han Xue’er heard that she was to move from her nursing position to manage the Ye Family Medicinal Cuisine Shop, she was both shocked and delighted.

”Brother Ye, are you serious?” Han Xue’er widened her beautiful eyes and asked.

From this remark, Ye Haochuan could tell that Han Xue’er was also an ambitious girl, which greatly reassured him. He said, ”Yes, Sister Mei thinks highly of you. Your nursing background is solid, so she specifically suggested that you take charge.”

The reason he said this was mainly to make Han Xue’er understand that her ability to serve as the manager had much to do with Xiao Haimei’s contribution.

Upon hearing this, Han Xue’er indeed showed a grateful expression, but soon she hesitated, ”But I’ve never managed a medicinal cuisine shop before. I’m afraid I might not do well...”

”Don’t worry, don’t worry. If you lack experience, you can learn it gradually. As long as you’re in charge, you just need to manage the people properly, and leave the rest to those below you,” Ye Haochuan smiled. ”If you’re really uneasy, you can always ask Sister Mei for advice. She’ll be very happy to help you.”

”Alright.” Han Xue’er nodded.

”Now that you’ve agreed, you won’t need to return to the hospital as a nurse anymore. In the next few days, start recruiting people. Besides cooks, it would be best to also recruit some graduates from schools of Traditional Chinese Medicine. I will train them personally, and they will serve as technical consultants in the future.”

”Alright.”

Once Han Xue’er left, Ye Haochuan checked the time. It was exactly 1:50 pm, and there were ten minutes left until the start of the afternoon working hours.

As per the plan, the afternoon was the time the affiliated hospital was open to the public. Regardless, he needed to be professional and attend to every patient who had registered to see him.

However, to prevent patients from flocking to him merely because of his reputation, Xiao Haimei, the honorary dean, had specifically instructed him to only take care of severe, big illnesses and other complex cases that other doctors could not diagnose.

So, after officially starting work, he waited for about half an hour before finally seeing a steady stream of severe cases.

Ye Haochuan naturally took these severe cases seriously and effortlessly alleviated their pain with his adept skills, leaving them immensely grateful and praising his medical prowess to whomever they met.

Of course, he didn’t miss the opportunity to recommend that they visit the Ye Family Medicinal Cuisine Shop to prevent diseases proactively.

But now, patients who had heard that Doctor Ye was highly efficient and almost miraculous flooded to the door of his office.

Ye Haochuan was suddenly overwhelmed, but at this point, he had no choice but to press on.

However, just as he was treating an elderly man for coronary heart disease with acupuncture, suddenly, three camouflaged men, towering like iron towers, walked in with an arrogant tone, ”Everyone out, get out!”

The patients who were originally lining up, intimidated by the brash intrusion, scrambled away.

Ye Haochuan frowned, wondering who these upstarts were to come and cause a scene.
