Invincible Little School Doctor

Chapter 352: Chapter 351: Jacking Up the Price

Looking at Wang Tong, who was nervously watching him, Ye Haochuan chuckled and said, ”Although I, Ye Haochuan, can’t cure all diseases, something like congenital kidney deficiency is just a small matter.”

A small matter? I’ve been to many major hospitals and even consulted many specialist professors to no avail!

Wang Tong was somewhat skeptical, but congenital kidney weakness is a delicate matter involving heir issues, so it cannot be taken lightly.

Therefore, he still had high hopes and said to Ye Haochuan with a face full of expectation, ”Doctor Ye, please, you must cure me. Doctor Ye, rest assured, money is no object.”

Money is no object?

Moved by the comment, Ye Haochuan responded, ”Alright then, prepare one billion as consultation fee and then come find me.”

One billion as a consultation fee?

Not only was Wang Tong stunned on the spot, but even the onlookers around them, including students and teachers, were flabbergasted. One billion just for a consultation? Isn’t that a bit too exaggerated?

However, Wang Tong took it well. Given his family’s financial conditions, what was one billion to him? If his kidney deficiency couldn’t be cured, what use would any amount of money be?

”Okay, as long as Doctor Ye can cure my disease, one billion it is!” Wang Tong declared on the spot.

This time, it was Ye Haochuan’s turn to be surprised.

This Wang Tong really didn’t care about the money; he actually agreed to one billion just like that.

Truthfully, it had been just a strategy on his part to ask for a high price in the hope of settling on a lower amount, but he never expected such a quick agreement.

From Wang Tong’s perspective, one billion for a consultation fee was indeed an unprecedented astronomical amount, but being the only son in his family, if his congenital kidney disease couldn’t be cured, it could potentially lead to the end of the Wang Family line. No amount of money in the family would matter then.

So, Ye Haochuan couldn’t help but be overjoyed inside. Treating an illness and easily making a billion in profit, this business was outrageously lucrative.

At that moment, Zhang Ziyi, lowering her voice, giggled and said, ”Brother Ye, aren’t you being a bit too exploitative? One billion, that has to be the most expensive consultation fee in history.”

So what if it’s exploitative? The key is that he’s willing to pay!

Ye Haochuan chuckled and replied, ”Ziyi, you’re thinking too poorly of Brother Ye. One billion is expensive, but how many can actually cure his disease? I can say that in this world, there aren’t none who can cure him, but can he find them? I am his only hope.”

Zhang Ziyi nodded and then said, ”But still, Brother Ye, even so, you shouldn’t do this!”

Profiteering much?

Ye Haochuan shook his head chuckling, ”Ziyi, you’re a college student, aren’t you aware of the saying ’rare goods command higher prices’?”

Zhang Ziyi made an ’oh’ sound and didn’t speak.

”His condition is congenital kidney disease. Its external manifestation is weak sperms, meaning congenital infertility. To cure him, I would need to expend a lot of essence Qi and Miraculous Elixir. Especially the Miraculous Elixir I refine—its medicinal catalysts are extremely valuable. If he wants to continue his family line, naturally, he ought to pay a higher consultation fee.”

Pausing, Ye Haochuan continued, ”Besides, as the saying goes, ’Zhou Yu hits Huang Gai, one is willing to beat, and the other is willing to endure.’ Wang Tong hasn’t spoken a word, so why are you getting upset? Hehe.”

”Rogue trader, a big-time rogue trader,” Zhang Ziyi said with a hint of sarcasm in her laughter.

With a face full of annoyance, Ye Haochuan ignored her and after a while, turned to Wang Tong and asked, ”Ever heard of Body-Strengthening Pill?”

”I’ve heard about it,” Wang Tong nodded, ”Apparently, this Body-Strengthening Pill had once sold for sixty million a piece, and it’s highly effective in strengthening the body.”

Good to hear!

Ye Haochuan nodded, ”Right, your illness, it’s not too difficult yet not too simple either. In my opinion, we need to first improve your body’s condition. I have a Body-Strengthening Pill here. Go and prepare ten million for a deposit, then come back to get the pill from me.”

At this moment, all Wang Tong could think about was the hope of curing his kidney disease, so he didn’t question Ye Haochuan’s request at all and said, ”Doctor Ye, there’s no need, I have ten million in my bank card. I’ll transfer it to you right now, please make sure to cure my disease.”

Man, what a tycoon!

Ye Haochuan’s heart blossomed with joy and he confirmed it was no problem.

Right after, Wang Tong made a mobile bank transfer.

Once Ye Haochuan saw the ten million was in hand, he swiftly beckoned with his hand,

then, Ye Haochuan took out the Body-Strengthening Pill on the spot and had him take it.

Wang Tong took the Body-Strengthening Pill, gave it a glance, and felt it looked quite ordinary, seemingly nothing special. He thought to himself that he might as well wait and see the effects, and if it didn’t work, he could still confront Ye Haochuan later.

However, as soon as the pill touched his tongue, he felt a cool taste spread out, and as the pill went down to his stomach, a wave of heat surged within his body, flowing through all his blood vessels.

Especially at his kidneys, it was so comfortable he almost cried out in comfort. Such a feeling was indescribable to outsiders.

With this, Wang Tong finally fully believed that Ye Haochuan had not deceived him, and that the Body-Strengthening Pill was genuine, indeed having an extraordinary effect.

As time ticked away, in front of the onlooking teachers and students, Wang Tong underwent a complete transformation in spirit, vitality, and aura, especially his eyes, which had slightly suffered from nearsightedness, now also fully recovered.

”Incredible, just incredible!” Wang Tong was overjoyed, filled with confidence in the upcoming treatment, ”Doctor Ye, I’ll go back right now and gather the remaining ninety million.”

Just as he was about to leave, Guan Yonghe, who had just run to the restroom, came out. Seeing her boyfriend here, she suddenly strutted around and put on a pitiful face, whimpering, ”Dear, this Mr. Ye deliberately targeted me just now, made me embarrass myself, you must stand up for me...”

”Stand up for you? Stand up your ass!” Wang Tong glared and slapped her, ”Hurry up and apologize to Doctor Ye, right now!”

The slap wasn’t heavy, but it still stunned Guan Yonghe: ”Apologize?”

Wang Tong snapped, ”Are you deaf? Do it quickly! Dilly-dally again, and see if I don’t beat you to death?”

Guan Yonghe, covering her face and tears streaming down, but under Wang Tong’s tyranny had no choice but to relent and apologized to Ye Haochuan.

Around them, many who had disliked Guan Yonghe’s arrogant demeanor were shocked to see her apologizing to someone for the first time, and they were all astonished.

Of course, even more people were filled with admiration for Ye Haochuan, especially Zhang Ziyi, who saw her usual rival Guan Yonghe now behaving like a docile cat, felt extremely pleased inside.

The bell for class rang, and the crowd of onlookers gradually dispersed, heading back to their classrooms.

”Brother Ye, come to my dorm tonight. I will personally draw a portrait for you, don’t forget.” Zhang Ziyi suddenly blurted out, then like a fluttering butterfly, swiftly ran away.

Draw a portrait? Draw a portrait of what?

Watching Zhang Ziyi run further away, Ye Haochuan was momentarily puzzled, but soon, he figured it out and chuckled, ”This little girl, she finally agreed to draw a nude portrait for Big Brother, looking forward to it.”
