Invincible Little School Doctor

Chapter 373: Chapter 372: Errands

However, at this moment, Zhao Ruqian seemed to have completely lost her sanity, shrieking, ”Quick, give it to me... or else I’ll suck your blood... ”

With that, she opened her mouth wide and bit towards her younger sister’s neck.

”Stop!”

Ye Haochuan was shocked and swiftly acted, pressing her acupoint. Zhao Ruqian instantly collapsed to the ground, unconscious.

Zhao Bingqian looked on with unsettled nerves, but quickly she hurried over, saying, ”Sister.”

”She’s temporarily unconscious from my pressing the acupoint. She’ll be fine,” Ye Haochuan reassured.

Seeing her sister in such a miserable condition, Zhao Bingqian felt an indescribable pain inside her, and with tears brimming in her eyes, she gritted her teeth and said, ”It’s all Bao Guozhong’s doing, that scum. I will make him pay for this someday.”

Then she looked anxiously at Ye Haochuan, ”Uncle, seeing how my sister is suffering from withdrawal, it won’t be easy, do you have any way to alleviate her addiction a bit?”

Ye Haochuan shook his head, ”For any drug addict, the key to quitting lies in one’s strong willpower. If one holds on to this firm belief and endures the first time, the cravings will gradually weaken. Otherwise, it’ll only get worse.”

”Sigh,” Zhao Bingqian sighed, at a loss for words.

Ye Haochuan, too, was silent, offering no words.

After a long while, once Ye Haochuan saw Zhao Ruqian’s condition slowly return to normal, he then released her acupoint.

Subsequently, Zhao Ruqian regained consciousness.

Seeing herself sitting on the ground with disheveled clothes, with her sister and Ye Haochuan by her side, Zhao Ruqian slowly remembered her previous embarrassing behavior and was mortified.

”Sister Ruqian, I’m sorry, I let you suffer just now. But I meant it for your own good, please understand. If you grit your teeth and get through this, it’ll be so much easier when the addiction hits again,” Ye Haochuan consoled.

Zhao Bingqian said with tears, ”Yes, sister, you must stay strong. We all believe in you.”

Zhao Ruqian nodded and then caught a glimpse of a row of teeth marks on Ye Haochuan’s wrist. Suddenly remembering her crazed actions before, she was overwhelmed with guilt and said, ”I’m sorry, brother-in-law, I... did I hurt you when I bit you?”

Brother-in-law?

Ye Haochuan was taken aback for a moment, but then secretly sighed with relief; this was clearly her acceptance of his relationship with her sister.

”It’s nothing, nothing,” Ye Haochuan laughed, ”This bit of pain is nothing to me. Now that you regard me as your brother-in-law, we’re family from now on, no need for such formality.”

”Mmhmm.” Zhao Ruqian smiled faintly, her pale face looking much better.

Throughout the afternoon, Ye Haochuan stayed in the villa, keeping an eye on Zhao Ruqian’s condition while also diligently practicing the Longevity Technique.

During that time, Zhao Ruqian suffered several bouts of cravings, but with Ye Haochuan’s help, the intensity of her cravings diminished each time. By dusk, her addiction wasn’t as severe.

Originally, Ye Haochuan had planned to stay for dinner, but because his mother, Tong Xiangxiu, called and asked him to come home quickly, he had no choice but to leave.

However, before leaving, he inevitably had another round of passionate moments with Zhao Bingqian, the little minx.

There’s no denying, this little minx was well-versed in all the tricks from adult films which she had learned inside out, even indulging in role-play. The moment she donned the maid outfit, it was a refreshing sight that made it hard for him to contain himself.

When he returned to the rental house, it was already past six o’clock, and his mother, Tong Xiangxiu, had been waiting in the living room for a long time.

Seeing her son come back, Tong Xiangxiu approached him with a bit of complaint in her tone, ”Why have you only just come back?”

”I was treating a patient suffering from addiction...” Ye Haochuan said offhandedly.

”That patient with the addiction, she’s a woman, isn’t she?” Tong Xiangxiu’s tone was somewhat peculiar, making Ye Haochuan feel uneasy.

”Mom, what are you doing...” Ye Haochuan couldn’t help but say.

”Don’t interrupt, just answer me, yes or no?” Tong Xiangxiu said sternly.

”It’s a woman.” Ye Haochuan felt somewhat guilty looking at the expression on his mother’s face.

”Is the drug addict you mentioned also having a sister?” Tong Xiangxiu pressed on.

”This...” Ye Haochuan was puzzled. How could she know this too?

Suddenly, a thought struck him. Damn, could it be Haimie told her?

After hesitating for a moment, Ye Haochuan admitted, ”Yes, she does.”

”Then what is your relationship with the patient’s sister?” Tong Xiangxiu asked, staring into his eyes.

Ye Haochuan was at a loss for words. Mom, aren’t you interfering a bit too much?

”Mom, there’s nothing between us, Zhao Bingqian and I are just ordinary friends,” Ye Haochuan said, and then he explained Zhao Bingqian’s situation in general.

”I will ask you again, you really have nothing to do with her?” Tong Xiangxiu said gravely.

Seeing his mother relentlessly pursuing the question, Ye Haochuan became even more nervous and stubbornly said, ”Mom, there really is nothing.”

Seeing her son’s categorical tone, Tong Xiangxiu was somewhat convinced, but she still sighed deeply and said with heartfelt emphasis, ”Haochuan, I’m not trying to meddle, but I just don’t want you to be like your no-good father, creating romantic debts everywhere. He himself didn’t have the ability to make money, and in the end, it only hurt others and himself. Why bring on such trouble?”

Ye Haochuan was unfamiliar with his father, knowing only from his mother’s words that his father was promiscuous and extremely irresponsible to the family.

In his subconscious, he was very averse to his father, even unwilling to learn any information about the man.

At this moment, Tong Xiangxiu continued, ”Haochuan, Mom knows that you are no longer the same as before, you’ve got skills, you know how to make money, and there are many women around you. However, what I want to tell you is that you must never be irresponsible. Whether it’s the young miss of the Xiao Family, Han Xue’er, or any other woman, you must take on a man’s responsibility and not let them down, do you understand?”

Ye Haochuan was taken aback. He had never expected his mother to say such a thing; at first, he even thought that she wanted him to be devoted for life! Heh, she’s still my real mom after all!

”Don’t worry, Mom, am I that kind of person?” Ye Haochuan said with a sigh of relief.

Tong Xiangxiu nodded, then suddenly said, ”By the way, let me tell you something, Haimie and I have found a job.”

”A job? What kind of job?” Ye Haochuan was surprised.

”Isn’t the affiliated hospital of your school starting operations tomorrow? They’re short-handed. Haimie has arranged for me to be a janitorial supervisor, the kind that manages people and doesn’t have to do the work oneself,” Tong Xiangxiu explained.

Ye Haochuan nodded, feeling a surge of gratitude for Xiao Haimei. After all, it wasn’t ideal for his mother to be cooped up in the rental apartment every day; having something to do in the hospital would make life less empty.

”I support this decision,” Ye Haochuan stated.

Tong Xiangxiu was overjoyed and said, ”Good, I’m glad you support it. You go ahead and eat first; I’m going to call Haimie.”

”Okay,” Ye Haochuan smiled. ”But I have to make it clear, in the hospital, you have to work diligently, don’t cause any trouble that would make it awkward for me and Haimie.”

Tong Xiangxiu laughed excitedly, ”Rest assured, would I be the kind of person who causes trouble for you two?”

After saying that, she turned and walked away to call Xiao Haimei.

Ye Haochuan shook his head and then went to the dining table to eat.

After a satisfying meal and checking the time, he remembered he had a physiology class that evening, so he bid his mother farewell and went to school.

Just as he arrived at the school hospital office, Xiao Haimei came running excitedly to him, waving a folder in her hand, and said cheerfully, ”Dear, guess what this is?”
