Invincible Little School Doctor

Chapter 381: Chapter 380: Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

After being affectionate with each other, they tidied up their attire and left the small western-style building. They arrived at the university hospital to prepare for the ribbon-cutting ceremony that was scheduled to start at nine o’clock.

The time for the ceremony, nine o’clock, soon arrived.

By then, the university hospital had already been renamed Haishan University Affiliated Hospital, and the gilded large letters were erected on the hospital building.

Separated by a simple fence, it formed two parts from the original Haishan University campus area.

At the direction of the affiliated hospital’s entrance, guard posts had been established, and security personnel were specially selected from the original university security to be in charge of protecting the normal operation of the hospital.

The entrance of the affiliated hospital’s outpatient, emergency, and outpatient buildings were all decked out in festive decorations, creating a jubilant atmosphere.

Suspended above the outpatient building were rows of hot air balloons, with the front row forming the words: ”Warmly Celebrate the Establishment of Haishan University Affiliated Hospital!”

Two rows of wonderfully attractive nurses, including Han Xue’er, all dressed in clean white nurse uniforms, stood on both sides of the outpatient doors, forming a beautiful scene.

At this time, Ye Haochuan, along with the school board members led by Xiao Haimei and the leaders of Haishan University, stood on both sides of an extremely wide red carpet, apparently waiting for the arrival of the distinguished guests.

Present at the site were also Haishan TV Station and more than ten media outlets, big and small, broadcasting live.

Meanwhile, a large number of police officers guarded along the way, everyone was on high alert, and no one dared to relax.

Although there were many people at the scene, everyone was silently waiting, and the atmosphere was completely quiet.

Suddenly, from the direction of the guard post came a loud shout from a security guard: ”Come! Light the firecrackers!”

In an instant, the firecrackers that had been prepared soared into the sky, then crackled loudly.

Before long, rows of cars roared in and neatly parked in front of the hospital’s main entrance as a large group of guests descended from the vehicles.

Immediately, reporters from major media outlets aimed their cameras at these guests and began to feature them closely.

Among these guests were government officials headed by Lin Xiaoquan, mayor of Haishan City, business tycoons led by Li Tianwei of Tianwei Group, and experts and professors invited from various hospitals around Haishan City, all considered to be heavyweight figures.

Ye Haochuan felt a chill within himself, It seemed that Xiao Haimei indeed made grand arrangements, inviting so many important people. If news of this got out, it would be exceedingly face-giving.

Soon, under the leadership of Mayor Lin Xiaoquan, numerous officials, businessmen, and expert professors stepped onto the red carpet.

Then, from the affiliated hospital’s side, led by Chairman Xiao of the school board, they walked forward to greet the arriving guests.

”Welcome, respected guests, I’m Xiao Haimei, the honorary dean of Haishan University Affiliated Hospital. I stand here on behalf of Haishan University Affiliated Hospital, welcoming everyone’s arrival,” Xiao Haimei glanced at the guests and said with a slight smile.

The guests led by Lin Xiaoquan nodded in thanks.

However, soon a group of expert professors couldn’t wait to inquire about the whereabouts of Ye Haochuan.

”By the way, Chairman Xiao, where is that young doctor named Ye Haochuan? Bring him out and let us meet him quickly.”

”Right, right, quickly call out Ye Haochuan, we specifically came to meet him this time.”

”Yes, we’ve produced an expert in Traditional Chinese Medicine in Haishan, we must meet him too.”

...

Facing the curious inquiries of numerous experts and professors, Xiao Haimie felt a secret joy in her heart. It seemed that Ye Haochuan’s reputation was truly well-deserved. If utilized properly, Haishan University Affiliated Hospital would be hard-pressed not to thrive!

At that moment, one of the guests, Li Tianwei, burst into laughter, pointing at Ye Haochuan who was hidden behind the crowd, and said, ”Godly Doctor Ye, come over here, come over here, everyone is waiting to see you.”

Instantly, all the focus shifted onto Ye Haochuan, including the cameras from the surrounding media.

Although he was prepared for this, Ye Haochuan still felt a bit uncomfortable.

Stepping forward, before Ye Haochuan had stabilized himself, Li Tianwei clapped him on the shoulder, laughing loudly, ”Good lad, your fame has really grown, all the experts and professors of Haishan’s medical field are here for you today.”

”Thank you all for your great love, thank you...” Ye Haochuan, although usually a bit arrogant and flashy, had to tuck in his tail in such situations and keep a low profile.

Yet even so, there were still some experts and professors who looked down on him.

”Is this young man the so-called Junior Godly Doctor Ye that is rumored to be miraculous? He looks very ordinary to me!”

”Yes, it’s quite disappointing. This young man is too young. He looks like he just graduated from university!”

”So young, yet he has achieved not little in Traditional Chinese Medicine; it’s unbelievable, I feel like most of it must be fake.”

...

Hearing all these doubts, Ye Haochuan felt slightly annoyed. Could it be that these experts and professors had come specially to sabotage him?

At this moment, an expert wearing glasses spoke up, ”Doctor Ye, from which school did you graduate?”

”From XX College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, majoring in TCM clinical medicine,” Ye Haochuan responded coolly.

As soon as these words were spoken, all the experts and professors shook their heads, seeming skeptical that a third-rate institution of Traditional Chinese Medicine could have trained such a remarkable Junior Godly Doctor. What a joke?

Soon, the room was again buzzing with discussions.

Lin Xiaoquan and Li Tianwei, the two who were aware of the situation, stepped forward to mediate, stating facts and reasoning to calm the unease among the crowd.

But in reality, seeing is believing, hearing is not as good as seeing, these people still had some doubts deep down.

Suddenly, another elderly expert, over fifty years old, laughed and said, ”What a coincidence, Doctor Ye, I also graduated from a school of Traditional Chinese Medicine. We, the old and the young, should really have a good exchange.”

Ye Haochuan immediately understood that this old man was just looking for an opportunity to criticize him.

”Well said, well said,” Ye Haochuan laughed dryly.

”Have you heard of Ephedra Decoction?” the old expert asked.

”I have heard of it. Ephedra Decoction uses cinnamon, almonds, and licorice as medicinal catalysts, commonly used to treat colds, and it’s quite effective.”

”Correct,” the old expert nodded, then suddenly added, ”However, using Ephedra Decoction to treat a cold nowadays seems too cumbersome, a simple cold medicine can solve it; doesn’t this mean that our Traditional Chinese Medicine’s Ephedra Decoction will gradually be defeated by Western medicine’s cold medicine?”

Ye Haochuan smiled faintly, ”Not necessarily. Although in terms of convenience, Western medicine’s cold medicine is more directly effective than our Traditional Chinese Medicine’s Ephedra Decoction, we all overlook one point. That is, Western medicine’s cold medicine primarily addresses the symptoms of a cold but ignores the underlying causes. Our Ephedra Decoction, however, also has the effects of inducing sweat to release the exterior and expelling cold to eliminate dampness, which when used regularly can significantly improve a person’s constitution and reduce the frequency of illness.”

”That may be true, but in today’s fast-paced society, how many people are willing to spend time brewing Ephedra Decoction? Isn’t that a waste of time?” the old expert said.
