Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Chapter 1136: Chapter 17: Forming a Family with Her Wouldn’t Be Bad? [1 more update]

”Such a hassle, Lord Assassin, how could you leave this entire mess of the Earth Army in my hands? Sigh, faced with the powerful semi-combat-class carriers of the Ru Lan Empire, how can I possibly win? What to do! Run away? But for ten years, Earth people have treated us assassins’ subordinates extremely well. Would it really be right for us to run?”

”Oh, Kari, do you want to run away? Hehe, have you forgotten what I once said? If you attempt to flee, I will kill you...”

A faint voice appeared beside the ears of this 25-meter giant monster.

”Who?” Just as this voice, carrying a somehow familiar brainwave power, echoed, the monster situated in the deepest part of Earth Alliance Headquarters almost jumped up.

He thought an enemy assassin had infiltrated his location and was terrified out of his wits.

Yet, after looking around everywhere for a long while, there was no creature to be found.

”What’s the matter, Kari, have you forgotten me too?” That voice seemed to see his motions and now asked with a hint of mockery.

”You- you- you, who are you? An assassin of the Ru Lan Empire?” Although Kari clearly possessed the power of the Mid Celestial Level, he was nonetheless extremely timid, speaking to the air in fright regarding the sudden voice.

Kari was really scared. As the confirmed strongest one on Earth right now, he couldn’t detect this suddenly appeared being at all. This only meant one thing—the other’s power was insurmountably greater than his own; perhaps he was even a legendary ’Star-level Existence’ throughout the entire Orion Arm!

”Damn it! If it’s a Star-level Existence, how could Earth possibly withstand that? Only if Lord Assassin returns, might there be a slim chance of stopping this. Uh... Lord Assas... sin?” Just as he thought of Lord Assassin, this being suddenly realized that the voice transmitting the message just now sounded somewhat similar to Lord Assassin, who had vanished ten years ago...

Could it really be Lord Assassin?!

Kari looked around in some surprise.

”Haha, Kari, it seems like you’ve guessed who I am,” the voice lightly laughed.

”Assa- Assa- Assassin Lord!? Is it really you? Haha, that’s great, Lord Assassin, you don’t know how much I’ve missed you. Over these ten years, they all said to not bother with Earth people, or to just surrender, but I disagreed, sob, Lord Assassin, Kari’s pressure has really been immense, but Kari will never betray you, Kari will always be your most loyal subordinate.”

Ten years had not seen, and who knew if it was the influence of Earth’s films, but Kari had apparently harnessed his acting prowess, now feigning a completely devoted demeanor.

Meanwhile, Jia Yan in a faraway place did not know, Kari’s level of power against the current Big Mosquito, he couldn’t even begin to imagine.

During these ten years, he was indeed maintaining Jia Yan, who had disappeared and even deemed dead by some subordinates Jia Yan had brought along originally. Kari had intricately analyzed rumors about Giant Mosquitoes spread by Earth people over the years, and the more he analyzed, the more understanding he reached about the true intentions of Jia Yan, the Giant Mosquito!

Where on Earth would there be so many Giant Mosquitoes?!

He, Kari, could almost confirm that the many Giant Mosquitoes believed by Earth people to form the Giant Mosquito family, from the very beginning to the end, were always just one! That is, his leader, Lord Assassin! If that was the case, then Lord Assassin’s rate of progress was far beyond his own imagination.

This was also why Kari had maintained the prestige of the Giant Mosquito family for ten years and even elevated the Jia family to an almost god-like status among Earth’s families!

And now, before a great battle was about to commence, Lord Assassin truly appeared.

Through just these few sentences of brainwave power dialogue, Kari was already trembling, now this conversation’s brainwave power made him feel an unfathomably deep meaning.

How strong could it be?

He hadn’t made the wrong bet! The Lord Assassin who reappeared after only ten years had reached a level he dared not even imagine!

”That’s right, Kari. It’s me, I’m back!” On the other end, Jia Yan’s voice, with a mild laugh, had a tone of relief. He had heard this being’s hints of wanting to escape, but in reality, from his words, it wasn’t genuinely about wanting to flee, and all the defense works on Earth and pre-war preparations Kari had done were extremely well-executed, definitely better than his own current state.

Before his departure, having appointed this being as the head of the Earth Fleet was simply because he was the second most powerful existence after himself, but now Jia Yan was somewhat glad that he had chosen him; other extraterrestrial beings might not have managed Earth so well, nor elevated the Jia Family’s position so high.

”You have done very well these years, I understand your hardships. Now I’m back. You don’t need to worry about the war anymore,” Jia Yan’s smiling words carried a self-assured confidence of the strong, transmitting through the brainwave power into the other’s ears.

”Lord... Lord!” Kari hadn’t felt too much before, but hearing Jia Yan’s praise, he actually felt wronged. Ten whole years, he’d spent so much effort for the Earth Fleet’s growth and wars due to a single command of Lord Assassin back then, looking back now, he couldn’t understand how he could have dedicated so much for a leader’s power whose life or death was unknown.

”By the way, Kari, there should be a phone call coming to you soon from the Jia Family Defense Team. If they ask if you know Mo Ke, just say you do, understood?” Jia Yan didn’t bother listening to anything else; he just transmitted his message with his Brainwave Power and then cut off the connection.

”Lord? Lord! Uh...” Kari, hundreds of kilometers away, shouted into the air around him a few times but received no response, realizing that Jia Yan no longer wished to contact him.

Even so, he was nearly bursting with laughter!

All the tension about the formidable enemy ahead, all the nonsense about the Ri Lan Empire’s semi-combat-class aircraft carrier, the Lord Assassin from ten years ago had taken down a semi-combat-class aircraft carrier, and now, ten years later, who knew how much more powerful the lord had become? When they arrived, they would probably be crying!

”Haha, uh, what? A phone call asking if I know Mo Ke? Just say yes, I have some guesses about who he is. Of course, just tell the people from Jia’s family that you know, let them figure out the rest themselves.”

Indeed, during Kari’s joyful period, he heard an Earth Alliance operator relay the inquiries of the Jia Family, and naturally, he responded as Jia Yan had instructed.

Meanwhile, at the testing ground, the muscular man who had just finished talking with the Earth Alliance Headquarters looked up, surprised, and locked eyes with Jia Yan not far away.

Now he didn’t dare to display any demeanor of superiority, knowing that if this Mo Ke was from some mysterious outer space master’s lineage, even if his Brainwave Power was stronger, he might not have any chance of victory.

Not ”might not”—there was absolutely no chance, considering that he couldn’t decipher the tactics Mo Ke had used!

”Lord, may I know what my position will be? Of course, the existence behind me wants me to undertake a slightly more important task,” Jia Yan said quietly as he approached the muscular man.

”Uh.” The muscular man lowered his head, a bit terrified, remembering how the other had previously crushed a sharp dagger with his bare hands. He really didn’t want Mo Ke anywhere near him now.

”Well then, at the Princess of the Jia Family’s place, there’s a guard who was injured on a mission. You can temporarily take his place,” said the muscular man.

Such a close-range task with the people from Jia’s family was indeed very important, but since he came from inside the Alliance, it was fine to assign him this task.

Of course, they wanted him to undergo a final test by possibly the strongest ’lady’ inside the Jia’s internal circle, along with the other runners, to officially pass the test.

”Princess of the Jia Family?” Jia Yan thought about the scene yesterday where Jia Lin had knocked down a guard and couldn’t help but smile bitterly. The injured guard was probably that guy.

This muscular guy probably wasn’t clear enough; it wasn’t a task injury, but rather he was beaten up by the ’Little Princess’ he mentioned!

”Alright, I will accept this task,” Jia Yan responded with a faint smile.

Afterward, a group of newly official members of the defense team were given a new task, supposedly a rule: they had to go into a little hut and one by one speak about their backgrounds to a superior.

These members were a bit surprised; they had thought that joining the Jia Family would require more intense questioning methods, but didn’t expect it to be this simple?

Only Jia Yan knew that once they entered this little hut, a woman from inside the Jia Family, taking tiny delicate steps, quietly approached the outside of the hut and then unleashed her Brainwave Power, testing the answers of these existences one by one.

Under the influence of Brainwave Power, members answering questions could hardly conceal their internal fluctuations.

Fortunately, nearly everyone had no issues, and soon, it was Jia Yan’s turn.

He distinctly felt the woman intensifying her Brainwave Power a bit, seemingly taking great interest in him.

But the gap between their strengths was far too vast. Even if she was a fearsome being at the Heavenly Peak, for Jia Yan, who was nearly a Starry Sky Sovereign, such power was completely insignificant. He just slightly masked his Brainwave Power, making her believe he hadn’t lied.

When he finished answering, and all the new members of the defense team had done likewise without any surprises,

using Brainwave Power to probe this female existence, he watched her elegantly and slowly depart, Jia Yan thoughtfully.

This female existence was naturally the ’Mr. Security Officer’, but her demeanor now, very much aligned with a woman from a major Earth family, seemed as if she had always been from a Biochemical Empire’s major family, and though she had changed her appearance, her aura still gave it away.

Maybe, forming a family with her wouldn’t be such a bad idea?!
